Monarch Sculpture Park and Art Center

ππ Great sculpture park to walk through, with multiple easy ways to drive or bike to get to it. Strollers can go on the path with some maneuvering, but not ADA accessible through the whole park. No public bathrooms, but there is a port a potty on the Chehalis Western Trail. I recommend bringing your ow...

Friendly Grove Park

ππ Very nice and well-kept park with fantastic playground design.
Multiple walking paths and even a smaller baseball field with a backstop.
Awesome design on the playground even includes a hotwheel track on one of the toys.
So next time your full terror-mode, demanding, and angry toddler insist on taki...

Deschutes Falls Park

ππ Today was "get out and explore". I wanted to go somewhere we hadn't been before. What a fabulous little tucked in location. The path is mostly rock covered until you get further down and then parts of it are beauty bark or a normal dirt trail. It is what I consider stroller or wheelchair friendly fo...

Frye Cove County Park
Park
ππ In the last few days we've walked most of the trails at least once, since we are anchored right off the beach (it's been rainy but gorgeous). The whole park is beautifully maintained, with nice trails that have steps in the steep sections. The walking is fairly easy throughout. The foliage is dense...

Rock Candy Mountain Trailhead

ππ This is a very good location to park and ride. Accessibility to trail head less than 100 ft away. The parking lot accommodates trucks with trailers. There is definitely enough parking space for a 20 vehicles with trailers. The restrooms were clean. No running water but not too shabby. The trail s...

Chehalis Western Trail
Biking trail
π Excellent for cycling, might be alright for running, probably not ideal for walking. Steer well clear early in the morning and late in the evening. Definitely sketchy people and lots of homeless encampments just off the trail. You often can't see them, but they're there.

Nisqually River Public Access

π Quiet, lots of people fishing, catching trout.
Beautiful out here!
The bathrooms are in very, very bad condition, go before you come. Still plenty of parking and space to fish.

π Too bad the current HOA BOARD is criminal. You can only gain access if allowed by a renter who is current gate keeper. We have had to file a law suit for discrimination among other things. Could be a nice facility if not so mismanaged.
