👍 My family hosts picnics here annually and it always turns out well. Lots of picnic tables and shade. There is a nearby lake that you can rent canoes, kayaks, and peddle boats from. Plenty of restrooms available. Family friendly. Just wish there were a playground of some sort for young children.

👍 Lovely little area near the park district. The trails are fairly easy, but some rough parts. There are two loops and a handful of off-trails for the adventurous. If you're so lucky to see the bluebells in bloom here in early spring, it is a sight to see!
