👍👍 It is a beautiful, peaceful to visit for a walk, to fish, and take kiddos to the play area or beach. Park rangers monitor the spillway to keep teens and wanderers safe. [Stay off of it]

😠 Went there with my service dog, was there 5 min, before the staff told we weren't allow on the beach, regardless of my SERVICE ANIMAL, I'm a disabled veteran. Total b.s. I won't be returning.

👍 Traveled from out of state to participate in Ironman Indiana. Nice little reservoir with a decently sized beach. It's not what I would consider for any out of state travel destination. However, if you are in Muncie and wish to enjoy a day at a "swimming hole" It's worth an afternoon!

👍👍 I went there today with my new kayak and had a blast. First time on this lake and first time kayaking. Peaceful and serene place. Had zero issues. Public restrooms, dog park, children's playground and also had a small pier. I really enjoyed myself today and will surely return. Thank you.

👍👍 Great sandy beach area with pic-nic tables, play ground, restrooms, shady trees, good parking lot. Also has camping areas. Never too crowded. This is a Federal park so your Indiana park pass doesn't work here. $5 per car load day pass for beach access.. well worth it. Enjoy!

👍👍 Lake Placid is a very fun environment. It is so clean the activities. There are all so fun and you get to meet new friends and nice people and get in touch with God more.💗🙏🏾

👍 Really great place to visit. They have really worked hard to improve the trails. They have cleaned up the geese droppings around the marina, put in more benches to sit on and empty the trash much more regularly.

👍👍 This lake is full of water, which is always helpful. I was able to drive a boat through it because of how much water it had. Truly a sight to behold, there were at least a dozen bathtubs full of water in this lake, probably more. 2 thumbs up.
