Peaceful and quiet place in the middle of an old forest. Lovely people and excellent food.

Great place for a hike

Über eine eigene, schmale Zufahrt gelangt man zum Haus "Het Montferland", nachdem man von der Straße zwischen Beek und s'Heerenberg, den Wegweisern in den Wald hinein gefolgt ist. Man kann auch unten, direkt hinter den Wegweisern auf einem Parkplatz im Wald, sein Auto abstellen und die schmale, steile Straße den Hügel hinaufklettern auf dem das Haus liegt. Sollten Sie lieber aufwärts fahren wollen, beachten Sie bitte die Ampel, die den Verkehr auf den Serpentinen regelt. Das Haus wurde in jüngster Zeit liebevoll renoviert. Der Garten ist toll, man sitzt auf einer großzügigen Terrasse unter einem alten Baum und genießt die schöne Aussicht. Man kann Kaffee und Kuchen zu sich nehmen, oder aus der kreativen Speisekarte Mittag- oder Abendmenüs auswählen. Die Qualität der Speisen, die Bedienung und die Weinkarte verdienen höchstes Lob. Das ist ein wunderschöner Ort, dessen Atmosphäre und Gastlichkeit Sie sich auch einmal gönnen sollten. Meine Empfehlung? Gerne immer mal wieder!

Amazing location on a hill inside the woods. Part of the building is from the middle ages. The menu is extensive and good quality. Pricing is above average but given the location, presentation and staff it's very deserved.

We had a very pleasant stay here. Nice clean room. Very good breakfast and we also enjoyed diner here. The area is very beautiful. If you like hiking and or mountain biking this is the place to be in the Netherlands.

Worker cheef and fantastic envairoment

Einmalige Lage auf einem Hügel im Wald, sehr große und moderne Zimmer - vor allem das Bad war toll. Auf dem großen Balkon konnte man die Aussicht genießen. Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Restaurant sah sehr hochwertig aus, wir konnten es jedoch nicht testen. Wir empfehlen das Hotel definitiv!

We stayed here as a couple for an overnight stay with breakfast. Enough has been written about the location of the hotel. I expected a little more for the price of an overnight stay with breakfast (out of season). From arrival to departure I never had the feeling of being a guest, more like someone staying overnight. Beds were very soft, but I could still sleep very well in them. Opening the small wooden windows in our room is confusing, the bathroom looks great at first glance, but it doesn't stand up to second glance. But the water pressure in the shower is really bad, as every shower on wheels has more power. Breakfast was tasty and good, disadvantage: no self-service for coffee, café au lait, tea etc.ect. You have to ask here... Conclusion: I would check in again for one night, but not for a longer stay.
