Booked a service a week in advance (removal and set application) for a big gala the weekend of. Staff reached out both by email and text to confirm my choice and time. Took time off work/class and commuted 30 minutes by bus with my partner just for them to tell me they cannot do the requested removal for her nails as they don’t have the required equipment or ventilation, all of this without being advised of potential issues during the prior 2 confirmation correspondences or any notice they’d be unable to on their website. They also told us they checked our reservation when it was made knowing there may be an issue with the removal and did not call ahead of time to sort out any issues. This was very disrespectful of both my partner and I’s time. To think they would not be forthcoming on their services limitations even after taking down my payment information is also quite frankly appalling, will not be returning.

Nilu was amazing. It was my first time waxing and she took her time to explain everything to me and answered all my questions. Professional and she put me at ease. The spa itself was very clean, well organized, and bright. I will definitely be back!

I've been going here for a while and for a variety of services. The staff is very nice and they all deliver great service. This evening I had a gel overlay fill and a quickie facial with Nilu! I absolutely love the care and attention she pays during my manicures. Her advice is great and has helped me grow strong and healthy nails. The facial was very relaxing and tailored to my specific needs. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of their services. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Their online booking (and reminder!) system is so convenient!

Super disappointed with my last experience. While the location is clean and staff were great, my nail polish chipped and flaked off the next day. Was hoping for a bit better quality nail polish, given the cost they charge for a pedicure.

This place is extremely overpriced for a manicure. My appointment was for gel+ removal, lasted 45 minutes even though it says at least 55 minutes on the website. The cuticle trimming 3 out of 5, nail shaping 2 out of 5, massage 2 out of 5. The whole thing cost me $78 after tax, plus $15 tip. So for a $93 bill I got the service that I’ve gotten from other salons with half that price, the only difference is that cheaper salons do it faster and better. It is a nice place, less crowded, and as a result quieter, so if the ambiance is worth that money for you, go for it. Otherwise, stick to your neighborhood non-fancy salons. I was disappointed in my eyelash tint today. The technician seemed unsure of the procedure. I had to ask several times to have the lashes rinsed properly as there was too much tint residue coming off afterwards. My eyes are a little irritated from all the rubbing ( I had to ask her to pat the eye area rather than rub). Otherwise very friendly technician-perhaps a little more training would help.

I couldn't be happier with my pedicure. I don't often get treatments done so I was a bit nervous and awkward, but my nail tech was super patient and the salon felt clean and welcoming, so I was put right at ease. I ended up catching a couple of toes when putting on my flip flop, but they were re-painted like it was no trouble. I will definitely be returning to The Ten Spot for my next treatment, whenever that may be!

Always a good wax from Emily. Hate to leave a good review as I don’t want her to be too busy to get in! But honestly, tried others and will never go elsewhere. Even after many many brazilly appointments she will remind me to take my breaths before pulling strips. Haven’t had a bad experience with anyone for my pedi’s and in the winter I love the quickie facial! Just a little boost that makes all the difference. If they’re running a bit late for a pedi they’ll let you sit and soak while you wait! So nice. 10/10 for me!

The value for money is not there. Over $100 for essentially press on nails to be cured to mine, no shaping, gel spilling onto my cuticles and the colour is transparent. Asked about fixing the transparent ends and she said she already gave me four coats.. The convenience and the Netflix on tv is not worth the poor results. Standard nail spots offer better results for less cost.

Emily did a great job with my waxing. One of the only times I haven’t left from a leg wax with little pieces of wax stuck all over my legs and feet. And she was very time efficient.

Wow. I went here for the first time recently and had the absolute worst wax job [brazilian] I’ve ever had. I’m still healing from it and it has almost been a week. The aesthetician went over the same areas 3, even 4 times on every section. Which most aestheticians would tell you that you shouldn’t even re-wax the same spot twice. It was incredibly painful. Not to mention the wax was way too hot. Even after repeating the same spots 3 times she didn’t even get any of the hairs. Most of my hairs were just broken instead of removed because she didn’t get any of them by the root. Now i’ve had these big red swollen irritated bumps in the area for 6 days, I even needed an antibiotic so it wouldn’t get infected. Her work was sloppy and ineffective. Whatever ‘technique’ she was using was not the standard and was extremely painful. Will definitely never return to this spa. 0/5 do not recommend!
