There is a positive energy in Dr. Shodjaee’s facility and I actually look forward to every visit. Dr Shodjaee and all of his staff are friendly and delightful people with sunny dispositions. Dr. Shodjaee’s office is located in a quiet part of Ottawa where you can just park on the street - no traffic or having to pay for parking. The easily accessible ground floor office is modern, well organized, clean and bright with lots of windows. They are always on time, often taking me right away if I arrive early. The hygienists are cheery, relaxed and friendly and I never feel rushed. I have been going to Dr. Shodjaee for 12 years. Now that I am retired, I visit three times per year for cleanings and checkups. The health of my gums has improved immensely in recent years, so I am delighted! I have no hesitation recommending Dr. Shodjaee and his team to anyone in need of top quality dentistry. Update for 2022-2023: Dr. Shodjaee has retired, but Manor Park Dental continues to be a first class operation with its skilled team of dentists, hygienists and front office personnel!

This had been our dental practice with Dr. Shodjaee for decades, and we had had nothing but an outstanding experience. It saddens me to say that is no longer the case since he has retired. When Dr. S sold his practice and phased into retirement, although the hygienists remained the same (and wonderful - thank you Jenny and Talia!) the quality of the dentist work took a nosedive with junior staff overseeing care. Multiple cavities were missed in our family, even after incipient decay was flagged to the dentist, leading to more extensive and preventable damage. And this wasn’t for someone with poor hygiene - it was for people who had only ever had one cavity in their lifetimes! One filling installed at Manor Park fell out within the first month and had to be replaced. In an older family member, concerns about gum recession have gone unaddressed. I am furious that this poor standard of care has resulted in damage to our family’s oral health, after so many years of meticulous efforts to stay healthy. We’ve since changed practice and learned that the lack of fluoride treatment at Manor Park may have contributed to cavities.

Following in the footsteps of Dr. Shodjaee (now retired), Dr. Al-Ani and his wonderful staff continue to provide excellent service and care.
