They have a variety of options in their menu. What could have made this experience better is a hotter food. I got my food warm but not the comforting warm I would expect. Overall definitely go to for brunch, lunch, or just casual hangouts

I went to the market last night with 3 friends and had a disappointing experience. At the beginning all was well we got in quickly and were seated on the patio right away. Once at our table our waitress took our order quickly and then the wait began... we were seated at our table at 11:40 and didn’t receive drinks until 12:40. A full hour with out receiving anything, tables around us received second and third drink while we waited and a table around us that was seated a half hour later was also served their first drink before us. By 12:45 we received our drinks but were unable to order more because they had already closed their bar. Would not recommend going here.

Had higher expectations for the prices on the menu. Sides were delicious but $21 fried chicken was overcooked.

Great spot for any occasion! Headquarters has been my go-to brunch spot for a while. Their menu is fresh and delicious! The maple root beer potatoes are to die for!! And coffee is amazing. I also recently went and sat on the patio for my birthday and was serenaded by a live saxophone player. The cocktails were fun and super tasty! I always get great service and love the fun vibe. Will definitely keep coming back :)

Amaaaaazing service and food/drinks.

This a unique and fun spot to be. My wash, treatment, cut, style, a product to take home & drinks plus tip came to around $200. This is definitely not a cheap place but I do wish they had more affordable food & drinks items. They could also do with a menu re-vamp or seasonal changes to the menu which would keep things exciting. The stylists keep a fun, light atmosphere and they always have good tunes playing. Very Instagram-able. I really really wish they would update their website, though. It's been the same since they opened and does not reflect the salon & cafe, in my opinion. They also need a better routine for when a customer walks through their doors because it can be very confusing.

All I have to say is I have been to every salon in the city (I mean close) and not only is this the best spot but Sam is honestly a magical genius when it comes to cut and colour!! Never had a better blonde or cut ever... every single time! I’ve been waiting five years to find this :) thank you Sam and Headquarters !!!

Good food and reasonable prices

Service was great but Benny was so sweet. We go out for Benny all over the city but I had a tough time even finishing it. Latte was good. But for $18 for a Benny, I expect table service. Not for me but obviously a fan favourite. Come for the coffee but if you’re looking for a great Benny, I would skip it. Potatoes as well had a sweet taste. Had to douce everything in sriracha to get through half of it. Cute spot. Too bad the food doesn’t taste good.

I always forget about this little brunch spot! Great patio with lots of shade. Ordered the eggs benedict and breakfast sandwich. Coffee ordered included an Americano, iced latte. Cocktails were Rosemary's libertine (my favorite), smoked pineapple express, and slay then rose. Food was great with good portions/fair pricing. Service was quick and friendly. Cocktails were so good. Would be a great spot just for a coffee!

Awesome food and lovely staff! Came here two days in a row for breakfast during our stay in Ottawa, was not disappointed. They have lighter fare which is nice if you're not a big breakfast type of person, especially during the summer; the prosciutto ham sandwich with avocado was delicious, and if you're looking for something more substantial the HQ benedict is an excellent choice as well. If you're looking for something sweet, the French toast will definitely hit the spot, plus they have drink specials during brunch on mimosas and caesars. Definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Ottawa, especially if you're staying in the Byward Market area.

I can’t say enough about the AMAZING brunch my family and I enjoyed at this awesome restaurant. The food was delicious, fresh and great portions! We also had fantastic service from our server Jessica who recommended our food choices and the $5 mimosas! Coming from out of town, they were very welcoming and friendly! I will be back next time I am in Ottawa!!

I went here for a Sunday brunch. Nice vibes, trendy place. Their handcrafted cocktails were delicious, the servers were quick and friendly. During my visit the kitchen may have been a little overwhelmed as it was a busy time, our food took a while to come out but was as ordered and tasty!

I come back here every few months, and I'm never disappointed. The food tastes very high quality. I'm especially a fan of their home fries. Expect slightly above average prices (approx. $35/person for brunch and $45/person for dinner and a drink, including tax and tip). The portions are filling. Service is good too. My only real criticism is that I find the decor and ambiance a bit generic, despite obviously going for the "hipper", "cooler", L.A.-type feel. They sometimes play music that I would consider rather kitsch like Maroon 5 and Chris Brown, but to each their own! (Though, you really shouldn't support musicians who plagiarize art and beat women.)

Popped in to kill twenty minutes before an appointment. The host who took my order said they had every kind of milk. I waited fifteen minutes before approaching the bar to check on my drink. The barista seemed confused and asked if I wanted whole milk, I said no, I’d like cashew, to which he replied they were out. I asked for a refund and waited further as both their debit machines were out of commission. I reluctantly took a cash refund from an apathetic staff and an even more apathetic place. Do not recommend.

For $26 I expected the fried chicken to either be really good or really big. It was neither. The Egg McHQ was excellent value and taste. Not sure why both these items exist on the same menu. Inconsistent.

I recently went to this salon and saw Damien! He spent 4.5 hours of his lovely time on my hair transformation. He transitioned my hair from “virgin” dark brown hair to platinum blonde and I’M OBSESSED! I couldn’t be happier! He did an AMAZING job and my hair isn’t damaged at all. In fact, despite having it bleached and toned from very dark hair, it’s super smooth and feels healthy. He also toned it to work perfectly with my skin tone and eyebrows for when my roots grow in. Then, he cut it exactly how I wanted, shaping my face and cutting just above the shoulders (even though I was a bit vague on what I wanted for my cut). Damien is very outgoing, kind, and professional. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Also, every single person leaving the salon after their appointment looked flawless — from hair braiding, beard shaping, dyes, and cuts! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to anyone.

Lovely outdoor sitting area. Food looks great for brunch. Wasn't a fan of the coffee options or taste (if you are looking for something unique). They were not selling pastries either if all you want is a pastry and coffee.

I’m beyond happy that Dorothee is back in Ottawa. She always has my hair it’s absolute best in any style I ask for. She is multi talented and experienced in all hair types. Dorothee has given me so many different hairstyles from long to super short and it’s always flawless.

Had the best espresso lemonade and home fries here. Only place in the city I've had an espresso lemonade for that matter. Avocado toast sandwich is super heathy and filling. All around great spot and good vibes!!

Came here on a Saturday night to get drinks, there was one bartender and it took us an hour and a half to get one drink. The cocktails are expensive and really small. Not worth the time or money. Definitely a lot of potential as the environment is really nice but we were really frustrated with the service.

Came here with 2 friends and we got the matcha latte + ginger latte. We all found them to be pretty plain... the upside of this place must be the location + patio (or other menu items).

The food here was amazing - I will 100% be back. I had a breakfast sandwich, the maple potatoes, and a matcha tea latte. Everything was serviced very quickly despite it being a bit busy. The atmosphere is definitely a bonus - HQ is bright with simple and modern decor. The only thing I would say could have gone better is staff knowledge of the menu/modifications. I asked for egg whites on my breakfast sandwich and one person told me that she had asked in the past and it wasn't possible. This is a bit weird to me but thankfully another staff member overheard and made it happen.
