Updated - March 5, 2022. Went back with a friend. Food is still amazing. Get the octopus, you won't be sorry. I love that the plates are mostly designed to share, so you get to try many things. Had a lovely meal with friends. We ordered several dishes to share amongst us. All were tasty and great portions. Will go back again.

First time coming to EVOO and it was a great brunch experience! Nice to try a place that has more innovative brunch dishes and a spin on the “traditional” ones. The Dakos was refreshing with the watermelon and mint. The benny had perfectly poached eggs and lamb that wasn’t overpowering. The Mykonos fried chicken burger was juicy, wonderfully constructed and full of flavour. Excited to come back and try the dinner menu!

After a Very long wait... my partner and I waited so long to come back to Evoo to eat the delicious meals of the Sea!!. Well, she was the picker of the amazing plates of food. We had a Blast! We were treated excellently, the service was quick and trust me it was pretty busy. Anyways, The food was amazing as we once knew years ago and I tried the Octopus for the 1st time and I really Loved it! Next Time! Will bring more friends to this excellent place of food of the Sea! Til Next time!

Wonderful evening at EVOO. Perfect spot for a friendly meal or a date. Simple and pleasant atmosphere, friendly service, well crafted cocktails and delicious food. • Since everything on the menu seemed so appetizing, we relied on our waiter’s recommendations. In order to sample as much as possible, we focused on the starters where we pretty much said “YES!” to everything offered to us. • Other than the zucchini fritters, everything else was delightful. Looking forward to the brunch menu. Until next time.

This place definitely strives to be five star. I felt all the staff were paying attention and on point. The portion sizes here are enormous, even for sharables. The two perso modifications to the meat platter is easily enough for four. Lamb was cooked perfectly. The lemon potatoes are wonderful. They run out of wines at times and need a bigger wine list in general. They also give you two options for salad, neither of which were suited for.someone with any dietary restrictions like lactose intolerance, but I still consider this place five star. Great place to take your partner on date, but don't expect privacy or a quiet environment. There are no booths etc. They also only serve two desserts but it is amazing.

Very impressed with the quick and efficient service, delicious food and ambiance. I usually come here for the seafood but we decided to order lamb chops. They were cooked to perfection. You can’t go wrong with their fried calamari and Greek salad. The dessert with the shredded phyllo, cream and pistachios was to die for!!! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

The service here is great , but the food we had was horrible on the specific day we went. I have never Eaten such tough calamari and octopus in my life.It was so horribly over cooked. Everything else was great. The haloomi with bread , the salad and desert were amazing. Too bad the Chef was having an off day. I’ve been there before and the meat platter was amazing. I would return but never again with the seafood board.

My husband and I hit up this restaurant for a dinner date. It's an ideal spot for laid-back hangouts but not really the fancy, romantic type. Tables are somewhat close to each other and it can get a bit noisy. We tried the seafood platter, eggplant spread, and lemon potatoes. Quick service, everything tasted amazing, except the lemon potatoes were a bit of letdown, although highly recommended. Prices are on the higher side, and we left slightly hungry despite ordering. Props to the waitresses for their helpful and prompt service, which added a positive note to our experience. Overall, a good place for casual gatherings, but the value for the cost might leave you wanting a bit more.

I celebrated my bday here with 2 friends. I was surprised when I first came here because Evoo is not big but full of people. I also could smell the grilled meat in the air, which was an amazing smell. This is the first time I have been here, but the food and service were pretty much wonderful. I love the premium chopped lamb without the lamb meat smell. All the staff were nice and kind, and they all offered to take photos for us. Our server is Josh (a tall guy with a bald head) who served it with all kindness and friendliness and understands the menu very well. I’m very pleased with it. I’m not familiar with Greek food but I’m knocked out by Evoo generally. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’ll definitely come back to try the seafood here.

EVOO is a decent restaurant in Ottawa but i have to admit it’s no longer one of my favourites in the city. Although the menu is designed to have large shareable portions, which is very appealing, since reopening we’ve been twice and the quality of the food has changed. Meanwhile the prices have gone up to an average of 100$/person (with a drink including taxes and 18% tip). Overall, we found the food to be too oily and too salty. However, the service is good! Things we’ve ordered that I recommend : Trio dip board (Tzatziki, Eggplant, baked feta), Fried Calamari w/ Tzatziki, lamb chops, and the rib-eye streak. Things I do not recommend: The Zucchini fritters w/ Tzatziki were too oily and disappointing. The fries are ok but way too salty. We’ve tried the feta fries before which were overloaded with feta and olive oil, and I do not recommend them. The halloumi and avocado salad was mediocre, not the freshest veggies.

Absolutely FANTASTIC food. Ambiance is very nice too. Food is a bit pricey but the taste is worth it. If you’re a larger person or very hungry, you may want to order “for two”.

Delicious food, large and shareable portions that make for a cozy experience. Staff are friendly, restaurant is tidy and well maintained. All community safety guidelines are being followed. There were two of us and we ordered: Tzatziki & Flat Bread Green Salad Lemon Potatoes Mixed Meat Shareable Plate for Two Our total for the night before the tip was about $120. With this amount of food, I think 3-4 people could have finished it in one sitting, as we ended up taking a lot of it home and had it for dinner the following day.

I remember the first time I visited EVOO with my friend on my birthday, I was greeted in the most friendliest way and treated with utmost service. The server (who we guessed is the manager) also gave us a dessert on the house. All in all, we had a great time at EVOO with both the quality of the food and drink, and the service. This time when we visited, we were also greeted in friendly manners :) However, I was disappointed with the quality of the food - specifically the seafood board for 2. Also, the time of the food took more than 40 minutes to be served. The seafood board was good, but we felt it was overcooked, minus the calamari. The octopus, as you can see in the picture, was a bit burnt at the end, and it wasn’t fresh or tender. It was too overcooked that it was a mushy and soggy. The sea bass showed the same. The board was nicely seasoned, however. The EVOO fries were very good. I would’ve rated my recent experience 3/5, but averaging the previously excellent experiences, I’m rating them overall 4/5. Hopefully the rating can only go up!

I finally made it to EVOO! Which by the way stands for Extra Virgin Olive Oil! 🤣 Being Greek myself I can appreciate the goodness of this nectar of the Greek Gods being used in their dishes! It’s the fountain of youth! The ambiance was fun with great friendly staff and the food was excellent! I will definitely return! 👍😎 🇬🇷 🇨🇦

LOVEDDDDD it here. Hostesses were very accomodating even though we had no reservation. Waitress was sweet, prompt and gave great service. The food was perhaps one of the best greek meals I have had! We started with the meatballs and grilled veggies. Then we shared the seafood board for two (calamari, sea bass and octopus). All was so very fresh and amaaaaaaazing. Atmosphere is clean and airy. Next time I am in Ottawa I will be back!!!!

This vibrant venue is frequently bustling with customers, make sure you book ahead of time. However, the gastronomic treats more than compensate for the minor patience required. Despite the servings being not all that large, they are satisfying and mouth-wateringly delicious. The staff here are epitomes of politeness, creating an environment that amplifies our dining experiences by rendering them exceedingly delightful and cozy. Be mindful of your orders though, as the pricing is slightly on the higher end 😉

Place is cute but weirdly loud, it's hard to hear the person across from you. I got the Greek toast and it came burnt .. I told the waitress and she quickly brought me a new one. The 'complimentary' bread fruit and croissants are nice, but you pay for it in the price of your food

We ordered the seafood platter, feta fries and spanakopita. It was my first time going there and the food did not disappoint when it comes to flavour! It was my friend’s birthday and we got the cake which was also good. Apparently all of their pastries are homemade so that was a plus!

What a wonderful dining experience, allow me to preface the rest of this review by stating we were just in Greece so we had tasted an ample amount of authentic Greek cuisine. Ok, to start we had a very energetic, knowledgable and fun server named Kat (with a K). She gave us great suggestions and ensured the table was taken care of promptly, always with a smile and a fantastic engaging energy. The food was wonderful, worthy of being served anywhere in Greece. The quality of ingredients was top notch and you are able to taste the elevated grade. Presentation was visually appealing and the flavours were superb, everything cooked perfectly. The ambience was great, you could see everyone was enjoying themselves and the music was the best, loved the mix of beats but especially the 90s throwbacks. I would not and have not hesitated recommending this place to anyone who is looking for a great restaurant night out. We will certainly be back again sometime.

Amazing food amazing drinks amazing service amazing staff. It’s obvious that everyone who works here has their heart invested. Simple idea that their good is made for sharing and it’s such a great concept. Food was amazing you must try the lemon potato fingers they are soooo good. Thank you to you all for making our Saturday evening dinner in Ottawa so memorable They also accompanied all our dishes so my friend who’s celiac could enjoy them all. Well done.

Food and service were very good. I recommend the lamb chops, calamari and shrimp for sharing plates. All were delicious. Seating both bench and chairs are a bit uncomfortable. We were also seated near the front of the restaurant so it was very cold each time the door opened. Perhaps some kind of heavy drape at the hostess stand would combat this as it's quite off putting. We would have stayed longer and perhaps ordered more if not for this.

Originally i just rated this place but after the management's reply, i had to come back and give credit to our server that he gets accolades where its due. Our server made our visit such a wonderful experience. Too bad i don't remember his name, but he was a short guy (probably hispanic or indian, pardon my guesses but i want to make sure you guys know who im talking about). We were celebrating my 30th birthday at Evoo and he took it up a notch by bringing us all blankets cuz it was a crazy cold day for a spring/summer day and made sure we were comfortable and even took great pictures of us, he said he is a professional photographer too, such a win. And came back with a sparkler on our dessert! Such a lovely experience, that I'll carry with myself and remember. To add to it, the food was great but I will really say he is such an asset to the team! Please give him my Thanks! We were in on the 13th May.

Absolutely fantastic. Great atmosphere with different menu style (works for us). The food, just wow. Everything was cooked to perfection and the portions are more than enough. Service was excellent, thank you Joe!

The patio was great for a summer afternoon eat-out, the food and the service are both excellent. It is a bit pricy ($50/person for my instance) if you are just looking for a meal, but otherwise a worthwhile place to spend some time with your loved ones.

Food is incredibly pricey but the food is incredible. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. They perfected the seafood and the seasoning for all the dishes, especially the salad. Drinks such as green tea and cans of Coke are three dollars which is on the expensive side but at least they put effort in the presentation. Lastly, the staff is awesome, food didn’t take that long to come out and they were great in helping us with the birthday cake.

Really delicious Greek food. A bit pricey but everything is now. The shrimp and dip combo were especially nice.

Nice vibe with great dinner. The price is on the high end side, but you get a great service and food. Delicious food, specially the chops. The food portions are big. If you want to have a great time with your special ones, give this place a try.

Excellent food. So so so good. Wonderful service too! This was family style dining where my friend and I ordered multiple dishes and got to to share everything very easily, so we got to try a variety of tasty things. Lots of options too, I don't think we even made it to the second page of the menu before deciding to order as there was so many options that sounded delicious!

Great spot for well thought out Greek food. Their menu is perfect, not too extensive, not too bare and their cocktail pair perfectly with every dish. Highly recommend the Trio Board for a shared starter. Their lamb is great and so is their seafood. The service is impeccable. Attentive, professional, kind, and welcoming. Definitely my favourite spot to satisfy that Mediterranean craving.
