Shopping malls have suffered significantly due to on line purchasing and by restrictions due to COVID. Large department stores that were traditional anchors for shopping malls as well as smaller merchants have not been able to remain in business. But the malls still have remained and hopefully can reposition themselves to remain vital for consumers. I like the upgrades that St Laurent Shopping mall has gone through making shopping there a better experience. They continue to provide good services throughout the mall and I hope you enjoy your shopping experience as well. If you like my reviews, photos or videos then go to the food court and just say I like it.

The shopping mall is at good location eastbound , and also gets connection to St Laurent buses and O-train. A sight-seeing traveller shall take time to walk or ride from St. Laurent Shopping Mall to a lot of shops along St. Laurent Boulevard; several new car dealers at both sides of street close to Donald St...That's my favorite place for the weekends.

I enjoyed shopping here. The food court is clean and the staff are very attentive. They clean the tables immediately after the clients leave. The security guards are also very helpful. They directed us to get the Uber driver to pick us up at the right entrance.

When I lived in Ottawa before moving to the Gatineau side of things this used to be my go to mall. I finally returned to it to check it out. It certainly isn’t what it used to be. Most likely stupid covid has had a lot to do with it. Mostly the same stores that I remember but some new ones as well. I enjoy the food court. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon. It needs to be infused with some light and energy again. 😎👍

The place is easy to access through public transport. There are Plenty of spaces for parking. There are different kind of shops that suitable for many needs. Specially the food court contains different type of food outlets including famous ones as well as local ones. There is a Plenty of space to walk and light condition is good. It has a Beautiful landscape and architecture in the premises. There are some hotels located in the walking distance.

I have never been a fan of this shopping plaza due to the layout of the plaza. Today, because of the lower numbers of people there I was able to get a parking spot on the ground floor and get what I was looking for at the Lush store easily. Today all was good 👍.

Went to the Bay to purchase an appliance on the second floor and the Lovely lady who helped us was amazing !!!! Plus the manager on duty held the item because we came from far away. Anyways my point is that during this tough time it's nice to see people who really care and are very pleasant! Job well done 👍

this is a decent shopping centre to hangout with people. they have a decent food court with a variety of different stuff to eat. there is a good amount of stores, and it's targeted to many different audiences. i go here a LOT with my friends and it never gets old. there is also various public transportation choices to get here, and there is a lot of parking space for personal vehicles. the only downside is the recent cases of violence by the transit. people often get jumped by the trains, and there was multiple stabbings here by the bus station. as long as you're aware, this is a fun place to be!

It's a mall with mostly all the same stores as other malls. The location is very convenient for running errands as there's also trainyards close by and the mall is right on the transitway. My one big problem with this mall, and this hasn't changed in 20 years, it's always too hot especially in the winter it's usually boiling hot even after you strip off your layers. It's so uncomfortable at times that of I do go here it's always only just for a quick in and out.

St. Laurent Shopping Center 🛍 has evolved to a beautiful and unique place. The food court on the second floor, looking down below on the main floor and the fading away of the mall walking area in the distance, gives it a sense of past experiences and history. It's wonderful to meet happy people at St. Laurent Shopping Center 🛍 😀 😄.

The mall has a good selection of stores inside, both for those with a lower income and those who are looking to splurge for luxurious items. The facility itself is beautiful and clean. The shopping center has a lot of parking space.

I like their Covid 19 branding: “new days, new ways” - clear signage and hand sanitizer at the doors. The mall has put out floor stickers in front of the stores to help with traffic flow and physical distancing.

St. Laurent Shopping Centre is a good places to go . This Mall are big enough to shop and many different kind of stores inside like if you feel hungry there are food courts at 3rd floor and you can choose what kind of food you wanted to eat. They have Rest Room to used in time of need, A gift shop specially for children if you need to look a gift for them, a shoe and handbag shop, a school for upgrading your skill and many others things that you are looking for, another important thing is having bus station which if you don’t have a car you can ride on a bus and bus directly bring you to the side of the mall. Thanks for government of Ottawa for having bus to commute. Keep safe everyone and enjoy shopping on St. Laurent Mall.

St Laurent Shopping Center has to be one of the best centers In my opinion that we have here in Ottawa. Runner up would have to be Bayshore if not equal as best. The holiday season has transformed this space from just a boring run of the mill shopping center to a magical Christmas experience.just sitting on their many padded seats, watching the youngsters eyes light up with the dozen light up Christmas trees or the decorations as far as the eye can see. If you love the Christmas Holidays; presents, lights, sparkler, smiles, joy and laughter” then please come take a quick stop at our many, many stores...we love seeing you just as much as you love seeing us. Xoxo

Anyways let's see TD Bank since September I believe they know when all my bills come out of my bank account and it's a pre-authorized payments and I know when they take their their payment for me using Bank machines ATMs and stuff like that across the city but when there's an important payment coming out of my bank and I know what time they're paying me coming out so they take their money so my important payment doesn't get paid and then I lose that service because of them taking your payment 20 days too early so since it's pandemic came out TD's been stealing money out of probably everybody's accounting a little bit here and there but it all adds up right so they're probably taking double payments out of my account... So everybody that has a TD account check your money double check it triple check it cuz they're probably stealing money from you anyways everybody stay safe and be well

Nice Mall :) But people need training on how to wear a mask..

  • 2/5 Maeve H. 3 years ago on Google
Went to eat in the foodcourt today. I understand that I assume the risks of eating unmasked in an indoor public space, however this risk is supposed to be mitigated by the spacing of the tables. Unfortunately, the foodcourt was so crowded today that there was a group of people unmasked standing in between where tables were setup, drinking and talking. This would be fine had they left 6 feet between other diners, but they clearly had no regard for social distancing. I leave this 2-star review because I could see someone who was presumably mall security “monitoring” the area that was completely unbothered by this sight. We had brought it to his attention but he didn’t see anything wrong with it and seemed reluctant to intervene.

Well situated in Ottawa, Via Rail station is one train stop away, the Otrain is in the lower level of the mall, and busses are all around the center. The center is very big and has lots of stores and a food court. There are also other shops around not far from the mall.

Probably one of my favourite places to hang around in the city. It may seem a little outdated when compared to other malls, but it is clean and well maintained. Nice variety of stores, food court has good options, their Starbucks has incredible staff members and the mall's security guards are absolutely wonderful and helpful people.

  • 3/5 Steven M. 1 year ago on Google
An iconic shopping center in the city of Ottawa. I remember as a kid being at the mall and it was so exciting so many different things to see and look at many many stores and the anchors of it or the bay and Sears. With Sears gone leaving quite a hole in the layouts. It has lost some of its charm at least for me. It's now and I know covid has had a huge impact. But doesn't feel as it used to. I would go and spend hours even just looking around but now I think I've been there once in the last 3 years. A lot of the stores in there are fantastic however the pricing is way out of my league. Trying it out and seeing what you think is probably the best idea. I think it gives me the feeling that it is struggling financially and it shows in certain areas. I hope things turn around. I do frequent Bayshore mostly and it has taken its place for me as it's got that alive and vibrant feeling. It's bright it's cheery people seem happy and there's tons of stores. But I've not given up on Saint Laurent Center, I'm sure it will come back better than ever

  • 5/5 kara g. 2 years ago on Google
I used to go to this establishment always feeling that I was always being scrutinized, but today's visit was such that made me feel totally just like a citizen only shopping and looking for personal items I required. I certainly didn't at all feel any resentment or out of place one bit. I actually enjoyed my experience and future visits will certainly be forthcoming and knowing that my shopping will be absolutely great 👍.

  • 5/5 Martin R. 1 year ago on Google
Still seems to have it. Plenty of the old shops still there. Noticed a few new things though and I hope they can finish the transit way repairs quickly. Noisy construction… though it's nice to have an indoor LRT stop for the mall.

Such a busy mall. Its the hub for people transfering buses. The stores tend to blare their music and find that a bit much. They have plenty of parking. New store have come in. You can find just about everything you would need. The mall is clean. The second floor is where yiu will find the food court.

  • 5/5 Strat W. 1 year ago on Google
I grew up going to this mall. While the sears has closed, the mall itself has a great selection of stores. As well the food court is large with a lot of nice choices. The mall was also updated a few years ago, so it looks very modern and clean. The mall can be busy at times, however it is usually pretty quiet and family friendly.

  • 2/5 Justin S. 1 year ago on Google
The place has really changed their look. The store seems to be targeted towards a different demographic. Women's clothing stores or art stores predominantly populate this mall, peppered with a sizable chunk of kids clothing stores. Fill in the gaps with about 4-5 phone kiosks for cases, 3 chocolate stores and a movie theater. If you are in search of women's clothing or artistic, this is actually a pretty good spot. But, if this isn't your shopping style, this mall isn't for you. Two stars, due to, besides The Source, there is very little here for me to do here. It's boring. Wife likes it though.

  • 2/5 Maranda P. 1 year ago on Google
This mall is gone down hill since I moved here 6 years ago, a lot to do with covid Im sure. My biggest pet peeve is the entrances as you go in and all the inconsiderate smokers who smoke right outside the doors underneath the no smoking signs and it doesn't matter how much you report it the security people are too busy holding up walls and railings that they stand around leaning on. Also the elevators and escalators always seem to be not working when I visit this mall. The food court here is stupid expensive and half the time the business are not open or ready to serve food at lunch time. Something positive... hmmm, this mall is pretty clean at all times. Parking is generally ok. The mall is never busy anymore so it's not overly crowded. Other than that not much else to say. Maybe once they have better shops it will improve.

  • 5/5 Jo A. 1 year ago on Google
It's a nice consolidated shopping center. Looks pretty modern with the interactive maps. Natural lighting with windowed ceiling. Multi-level parking garage adjacent to the mall. A food court with plenty of options for your pallet and ample seating. I was there at lunch time on a Saturday and it was busy and no problem finding a place to eat my Taco Bell. Also, it didn't seem to loud, come to think of it. Although it was just myself enjoying my own company. Anyways, I'll most likely be back. Check it out again.🙂

Great mall. Had all the shops and items I was looking for. Back to school shopping while out of town went better than I had anticipated! Couldn't find a grocery store but I did find a Tim's, a Starbucks, and tween approved shoes and clothing options!

  • 3/5 Snekia N. 1 year ago on Google
Mall staff are not always the most helpful and sometimes have an attitude when someone is asking for help. The mall has lots of options for shopping but nothing really for kids which suck since the st.Laurent area has so many families. The mall is always clean -in the morning. There’s quite a bit of things pretty old and falling apart but it doesn’t seem there’s any interest or care for it. The security team has a lot of change over which speaks to their management, lots of fire alarms and emergency situations that happen and security doesn’t really “jump into action” the way you believe security would. Overall for shopping, it’s okay.

  • 3/5 Christopher T. 1 year ago on Google
Nice mall, mall equipment maintenance is terrible. For example, escalators were supposed to be repaired in 7 days and its been about 3 or 4 months. If the mall wasn't so cheap on its own maintenance and cleanliness then it could score higher. (This is not a poor review on stores within the mall)

  • 4/5 Juhnun O. 1 year ago on Google

If you asked me this over 20 years ago it would have been 1 star, but since the renovations, which alone deserves 5 stars, the diversity of stores, from food to clothing are outstanding! Earlier that day I went to the Rideau Centre and sadly disappointed, drove to St Laurent Shopping Center ..well worth the trip.

  • 4/5 Janice K. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful interior. Great stores. Lots of parking. Only downfall was I didn't feel safe there. There was a lot of large groups of people wandering around making a lot of noise. Not what I've typically experienced at other malls.

  • 3/5 Priyanka M. 1 year ago on Google
The first bad experience is that the escalators to get into the mall from otrain are not working since last 4 months or more. But there are good options for shipping different items also you may get good deals.

Admittedly, I'm not an Ottawa native, and I'm writing this as I am planning on leaving the city, so please, temper all of the below with the above in mind. I'm giving this mall four stars, I'll say this - its likely the best suburb located mall within 10 minutes of the Core of Ottawa. (Of course the Rideau Mall is likely the best mall in the city) why only 4 stars then? - because the stock and availability of items, particularly higher end items, is not what you would expect it to be in a mall of this size in a large Canadian City (Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver are all far better, with far more malls of this calibre to be found within city limits, but that's to be expected with their populations - Calgary, Edmonton, even Winnipeg, Halifax and Quebec city I would say do a better job of having stock) Certainly this place is worth a trip if you're local, or not planning to travel in some time, though given my travelling for work, I find myself taking time when I'm in larger and more populous cities to swing by a mall for anything more premium, or if I'm looking for a varied selection.

  • 2/5 Barbara A. 1 year ago on Google
The mall itself is nice. It’s clean and has some nice stores. The security guards have big cop syndrome. Why should I call ahead for permission to park my bus while I shop. What difference does it make what kind of vehicle I come there with … I’m shopping I’m not taking root. Does everybody who shops there have to call ahead to let them know there are coming and give them vehicle description and license plate #? I think not!

There are a few decent stores at this shopping mall and plenty of parking. I was impressed with the food court, and after eating at Subway for two days straight, I would say they were very good quality. The mall is clean with plenty of places to sit. The one downfall is that there are no electrical outlets anywhere to charge your phone, or plug a computer in to do work. I would have stayed slinger had this been an available option.

Bright clean spacious mall. Well maintained. The elevators are dark and dank and very small. They operate very slowly and are not very well located. In this area this mall fails sadly. Overall shopping experience satisfactory at best. Not a place I want to hang out for a day. A quick trip in and out is more than sufficient for my needs.

Of the two nursing rooms available one was out of service and the other did not have a power outlet available I could use to operate a breast pump. Even with help from a maintenance employee a suitable option was not available. Nursing room and family washrooms were otherwise quite nice and I'm sure will be used by our family in the future.

I visited the Saint Laurent Shopping Mall recently, and my experience was quite pleasant. One of the things I appreciated the most was the minimal hallway clutter of kiosks. It made navigating the mall much more enjoyable, as I didn't feel overwhelmed by constant sales pitches and distractions. The clean and organized layout allowed me to focus on my shopping and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, a great shopping experience!

Such a pain in the butt to get into the mall. My kid really loves to shop here but there are junkies and sketchy people all around the mall. I would definitely up security. My daughter said she walked outside in the parking garage and stairs and she saw used needles… very sketchy mall now.

St-Laurent, just like other very few Shopping Centers in Ottawa desperately need to evolve or they will continue to lose more and more merchants and clients ultimately. There are fine examples of stellar success stories in other countries, but, unfortunately, not Canada. The secret is very simple: focus on the needs of families, not the profit margins. Profit is an artifact of good business models. Good business models will focus on the needs of families. An intelligent business person would know what to do by now.

Looked at St.Laurent website. Worst website I have ever seen. List of stores has letters a to z but you can't click on letters to see only stores under a certain letter. When on map and click on store it says 'Visit Store' and all it gives you is the phone # and hours of operation. Incredible. Website is less than useless.
