No idea why some negative comments about the place. I had an AMAZING experience with all the staff members at the Ottawa eye clinic. Dr Lui was amazing and would recommend her to anyone who’s looking for an eye exam. All the staff members there at the front desk were amazing as well. Would recommend the place 10/10. Jasmin was great and she fixed my glasses. Stephanie was great and she took my appointment. Jason, Magnus and Sonia were also so friendly. Super friendly staffs and such a wonderful place. Thanks for all your help.

This is regarding Kevin Chavez & The Ottawa Eye Clinic at 680 Montreal Rd. Kevin, an optometrist there, is quite obviously an expert in his field who possesses tremendous people skills. His attention to detail is noteworthy and greatly reassuring: he is painstakingly thorough. The operation of this clinic is competent, *friendly* and modern, beginning at reception and carrying through to the doctors. I received the absolute best care during my first visit. This is where I will have all future eye exams done, and absolutely where I will have my GP refer me when I require assistance from their ophthalmology department.

Worst experience ever! I am extremely unsatisfied by the service I received at this clinic. Someone had forgotten to book my appointment and the lady at the front desk suggested I go somewhere else when I expressed my disappointment... she was SO rude. When I was finally able to see the doctor, the appointment lasted 5 minutes! I have never had an eye exam last that shortly, she barely asked me any questions. I would also like to mention that the equipment seemed out dated. I would usually never take the time to write a bad review but I was honestly so shocked by this experience!

I have been a patient of Dr. Koala for years and have always been very satisfied with her thorough exams and advice. Today, I had a visit with a new opthalmologist, Dr. Codi Li. I am happy that Dr. Li did not find cataracts in my eyes but I am stunned by a length or rather shortness of my visit (about 2 min) and a hurried manner with which Dr. Li conducted the exam. I have a family history of macular degeneration and wanted to ask some questions but there was no time for it. Dr. Li completed his residency in 2021 with honors, so I do not doubt his professional skills. However, as person just starting a carrier, he should be more attentive and thorough. I am saying so as a patient and as a retired professor of physiology.

I’m surprised by the low rating of this clinic. I found the staff very efficient and professional when I arrived. I was checked in quickly by the staff and seen by my optometrist Dr. Das right on time. Dr. Das is actually the sweetest and most assuring optometrist I’ve seen in Ottawa. She gave me such confidence in her abilities and gave me a thorough eye exam while explaining what she was doing and encouraging questions. She was perfect I highly recommend her! My search for a good optometrist in Ottawa ends here.

Just offered me painkillers because my issues wasnt causing “enough” damage and was too small to remove… Dr Chavez was the one I had. Also got forgotten in the waiting room for 45 minutes until and employee asked why I was waiting so long.

Dr. Koala is absolutely fantastic. She was referred to me for my daughter, and very quickly won me over as well. She is extremely thorough and explains everything extremely well. she is by far the best optometrist I’ve ever had.

Dr Poleski was the rudest Dr that I met in my life. He started yelling at patients to wear boot covers even though his his office was filthy. He was disrespectful. Not recommended.

TODAY I HAD MY SECOND EYE CATARACT DONE BY DR POLESKIE IN A PRIVATE SETTING ON CARLING AVE, EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM THE NURSING STAFF & DR POLESKI, AND MORE NURSES N CARE THAN IN A HOSPITAL SETTING PS ID GO AGAIN BUT IM OUT OF EYES TO DO. PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE IF THIS IS WHERE MEDICINE IS HEADING I AM ALL IN KUDOS TO ALL N MANY THANKS TO EVERYONE INVOLVE

I once more today had an overwhelming positive experience at the clinic. I've been going to the location for many years while serving with the military and now retired but will drive across town to be seen by Dr. Koala and her expert optical consultant Jasmine. I mentioned to Jasmine today that she should be cloned being so professional and patient. She exceeded my expectation while I needed detailed review of choices to ensure best result for me. Thanks again to the clinic, you always make me feel valued as a patient.

I've been going to this eye clinic for over two years now, and I can honestly say that they are the best. The services they offer are top-notch, and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Dr. Kevin Chavez is my go-to optometrist, and he is always super nice and professional. He takes the time to answer all my questions and makes sure I fully understand what's going on with my eyes. But what really stands out for me is the glasses fitting department. I recently brought in my pair of glasses for an adjustment, and the lady who helped me did it so efficiently that it was like magic. She made sure my glasses fit perfectly, even replacing the nose pads for me, even though I didn't buy those pair from the clinic. Overall, my experience at this eye clinic has been nothing but positive. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants excellent eye care with a personal touch.

It's always 5 star treatment when dealing with Dr. Chavez. He is attentive, polite, competent, and truly cares about his patients. He is the main reason why we are loyal to the Ottawa Eye Clinic.

I recently saw Dr. Koala at the Ottawa Eye Clinic. Dr. Koala is so knowledgeable and will take the time to answer your questions — I had many which she patiently answered. I highly recommend Dr. Koala. Further, Jasmine, who handles contacts ordering as well as glasses fittings is a pure gem. She has such a positive personality and is sure to bring a smile to anyone who deals with her. Equally, she is competent and professional. I had a full eye exam done by an optometrist at another clinic, and then I was referred to Dr. Poleski through my family doctor. I was called by Dr. Poleski's clinic and informed that Dr. Poleski required me to redo the optometrist eye exam at their clinic at $125, before he sees me. I asked what was wrong with the full exam I'd already done and paid for, the only exam that would be covered by my insurance, or if my optometrist was not competent? The reply was that they did not have enough information from my optometrist. So, I said, okay, I will get you more details, will that work? They said yes. While I went off to get them the details, thinking I was dealing with a professional clinic, they got in touch with my family doctor to reject my referral, and said they were not accepting clients at the moment! I have since been rejected by other ophthalmologists which makes me wonder, if there possibly might be some petty, vindictive and unprofessional behaviour going on.

I have seen Dr French on two occasions since my prior ophthalmologist's retirement. I found Dr French to be most knowledgable and helpful; I felt she was keenly interested in my welfare as a patient. At my recent appointment during these Covid times I found the staff helpful and diligent in following all safety protocols. I would highly recommend Dr French and her team.

The ladies at the ottawa eye clinic were amazing with my 1.5 year old and his first pair of glasses. They made it fun and not at all scary. Thank you so so much!
