We also came with a group that was traveling to Merzouga and the guide was trying to get us to eat at a different restaurant but we looked online and chose this place instead and that was the best decision. Normal prices best food in here. It makes me sad that all the groups are going to that other overpiced tourist trap and this gem with very nice view and food is being overlooked. We left a big tip and we still payed 3 times less than in that other place ( i wont name it but it is very obvious which place it is when you see big groups going there blindly not knowing they will be ripped off for tasteless food). I would highly recommend this perfect restaurant with kind owners and personnel.

Best patio views and fresh delicious local food. For those going here on a tour, I would highly recommend taking the 2min walk to this restaurant. It's behind the bridge. They have the cheapest price in town (as confirmed by a local) and accepts credit card but 10% charge. Tajine or skewers was 40 MAD very very cheap!

We went for lunch and had the chicken tagine. It was delicious. The service was quick, the men very nice and welcoming, great view. It was nothing fancy but we enjoyed our experience. Good prices too.

Fantastic place for lunch with a view of the ksar. It’s run by locals who were very friendly and spoke functional English. The food was amazing, especially the lemon chicken tagine.

Definitely the best place to have lunch in town, and with the best views over the Kasbah. Nice and friendly local people, they speak reasonable English and good French, so it's easy to communicate. Good food, with really well served portions and fair prices (40DH for a tagine, 50DH for a couscous) Especially if you're on an organized tour (and I was), don't follow the guide to the tourist trap restaurants across the main road, go fot this one and don't even think about it. It's saving you money, patience and an empty stomach

We really wanted to taste the Berber omlette and it was just perfect, very tasty, served just at sundown, with the view of the kasbah. The Moroccan salad was so good with a lot of coriander. We also recommend the soup.

If you are here with a tour, I would strongly advise you to walk 3-5 mins and come to this place instead. It has a lot better and cheaper food options and it has a great view. We loved the berber omlette and also nice chicken options, especially if you are a bit tired of eating tajine and couscous, you’ll have different options here.
