We got a really nice burger with a generous chip portion. The location is perfect and it has a nice ambient.

Nice location, but the food was ok-ish only and the drinked had way too much sugar. It was relatively fast though for dinner time. I would not come here again for food.

I went there many many times. I had their open buffet breakfast, i had dinner once, i had coffee way too many times. The service is good, the food and the beverages are below average but its location is the winner and that’s why i keep going back. You are sitting right in front of the Aachen Rathaus and it’s a very beautiful view. I would recommend it for the view but not so much for the food.

We ended up here for breakfast by referral and we were very happy. The all you can eat buffet was €12 (apparently €10 on weekdays) and very standard and complete with cheeses, cold cuts, bread, orange juice, dessert and so. The place gets quite busy quite fast.

We sat on the terrace of Cafe Extrablatt. The waitresses were very kind, fast and efficient. The food (Green Bowl and baked feta) was very enjoyable and of a good size for lunch. The chairs were comfortable and the sun did a very good job of warming us. The only "problem" was that we had to wait close to an hour for the food to come. The waitress did warn us beforehand, so it was not unexpected or annoying. I guess the lack of cooks is a general problem in the restaurants in Germany, we had a similar experience later on at another place where they couldn't serve food at all.

Very nice selection of food and beverages. Cute decorations for Christmas. Service was slow though, had to ask several times to be served (with >10min intervals in asking, so we were not pushy). Staff was friendly.

Tons of options, everything very tasty and for very good price

Pretty disappointed with my visit . It took 40 minutes for my food to come out. Server was friendly but mostly absent. When the food did arrive it was cold and average. There was upbeat music throughout but a bit too loud.

Excellent food (chef salad), delicious cocktail, and a great spot looking onto the Cathedral Square. The service was great - one of our party didn't have much German and the server offered to bring an English menu.

Took 38 minutes to get my bowl of noodles and they were cold.......Staff ignored me when I trtend to ask about my order..

It is a really lovely place and we really recommend it. We were especially impressed with the kind and forthcoming service staff. The place was extremely busy during the Saturday morning brunch and we had no reservation. The place was buzzing and they still accommodated us with a smile. Great service! We can wholeheartedly recommend it. Try to book in advance if possible.

I would've rated it 5 stars because of the food, but the service is a bit terrible. I've been here twice now, but they always give me the wrong order. Especially when I personalize my order, they never pay attention. I like loud places, but if u are someone that doesn't like loud places, I wouldn't recommend. The prices are also ok.

This place is my new favorite in Aachen! I was here yesterday and I've only good things to say about it - 1. Ambience - Excellent! This cafe is cozy and loaded with Xmas decorations. The architecture is layered, there are several different spots with different designs, couches, high chairs, bar stools, dinner table etc. The decor and especially the lights are awesome. 2. Food & drinks - Burgers, Pizzas and a wide variety of drinks! I tried their winter special (Hot Aperol) and it's awesome. The crispy chicken burger with fries was delicious too! 3. Service - Excellent! This is a huge cafe although the service is fast and friendly. Really impressive. 4. Pricing - Decent! I ate Burger & Fries with Hot Aperol. Paid around 18€ and I think considering the ambience, service, free WiFi and food quality. It's all worth it. If you're in Aachen, don't miss out on this Cafe. I wish I was paid for writing this, but sadly not haha. Cheers!

I was there with my family, i can not say it is a place for kids, yet the staff was really friendly. They even gave us some colouring pens for my kids. The food is great, a little expensive, yet we totally justified, being in the very centre of this great ancient city. We ordered schnitzel caprese, chicken ceasar wrap, pizza rolls and a special burger. The food overall is great.the atmosphere as well. The place was too croudy, as they have a breakfast buffet on saturday. That is a must try.

A really nice place to have something to eat in the city center, right at the town hall square. We, as not dutch speakers, were kindly attended in english with a menu translated. We tried chicken salad, fajita wrap and some extra fries. I would repeat it all, chicken was soft anda really well cooked and fajita wrap was very tasty. Fries came in a cone with 2 different sauces (bbq and sweet chilly recommended) and felt crunchy. Beer we tried felt bitter than usual but I guess it's because I haven't tried the brand since long ago. Price was 38€, I felt it was worth the price.

Enjoyed a nice chicken schnitzel lunch, plenty of food for the price. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The food and atmosphere is really nice, the fajita wraps and salads were amazing. The cocktails are spot on. Location is very nice, outdoor tables are just in front of the Rathaus. Perfect for enjoying a meal on a good weather

The place to be! This café is just perfect, we ate a Frühstück buffet which is amazing with a lot of choice, we also took cocktails (cheap and delicious) and dinner, I would rate it 10 stars if I could. The staff is nice and the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend it!
