One of the best, if not the best indian food I’ve ever tasted. The mango lassi was delicious. The butter chicken was exquisite. The nepalese chicken dish was amazing. And the MOMO, oh the MOMO..wow, just wow! The beryani was on another level, must-have. A must-try when visiting Amsterdam…in fact, you should visit Amsterdam just to try it!

Lovely place, with very tasty Nepalese and Indian food. The dishes were incredibly good and there are a lot of vegetarian options. I would definitely recommend to try it while in Amsterdam.

The people working there are lovely. They receive you with a smile and service all night was very pleasant. Food is very tasty and (I believe) authentic. Portions are abundant and the relation price/quality is very well balanced. We got the vegetarian menu and left the place with a big belly and a big smile. If you happen to be in Amsterdam, I recommend it. Point of improvement: aspiration at the kitchen, for the rest, congrats!

Food very tasty. Nice atmosphere. A bit cramped. Soup was tasty and spicy. Also very large serving. Butter chicken was creamy. Quite enjoyed the Gurkha beer. Chili paneer was really good. Served on brass plates.

We have tried the 2 course(appetizer+main) sharing menu which consists of two appetizers and five main dishes. All tasted decent except the garlic chicken which came as an appetizer. Chicken momo(appetizer) and all the mains were flavorful and satisfying in terms of portion. It was also my first time trying Nepalese beer, definitely worth giving a try

Nepalese restaurant in Amsterdam. We got the 3-course dinner menu so we could try a bunch of different items. The daal tasted very authentic, a lot like I would eat at home. The drinks were also great, specifically enjoyed the nepalese gurkha lager. The veg momos were nicely seasoned on the inside, though weirdly flat. The paneer tikka was good but not great: the flavor was not as strong as it should be. The channa and mixed vegetables were better in my opinion. The gulab jamun itself was also tasty with right sweetness, but the yogurt around it was too acidic. No complaints about the garlic naan. Overall a great restaurant, but I would stray away from the north indian dishes and go for the nepalese ones (like momos) instead.

We stopped in here to get dinner during a trip to Amsterdam and had the most delicious meal! We’re vegan, and they had a great selection of yummy plant based dishes. We also got a bottle of wine with our meal that was extremely tasty! The service was very friendly, fast, and the ingredients tasted really fresh. Thanks for the great meal!

Great service. We arrived at 10:45pm when I believe the restaurant closes at 11pm. Warm welcoming, quick service and delicious food! Best option for Nepali and Indian food. There are some great Indian restaurants in Amsterdam, Sherpa is the best in my opinion. Their momos are high quality. They served papas with 3 dips and menu is clear choice between mild, medium or spicy and they all taste well. Good and friendly delivery too. Sheekh kebab - not tender but tasty Momos - best one Biryani - spicy and well balanced flavors

Overall enjoyed eating here. Waitress was helpful getting ice for an injury and knew what vegan was. Apple juice glass was dirty but was swiftly replaced when asked. Food was nice enough, however I didn’t love the pad Thai as there weren’t many noodles and the noodles themselves were a bit chewy. They do however cater to vegans and most of the party enjoyed it. Portion sizes a little on the small side so something to consider. Very nice staff and people.

A huge diversity of vegan and vegetarian food. Even we didn't have a reservation, the waiter was incredible nice to find a place for us. The place is quite popular, so it's better to have a reservation, because it's worth it.

You have to book them in advance! Lamb Tikka Masala was good. Just a note, if you want to get an accurate good spicy level, specifically ask for level 4 or 5. The server girl advised my partner that level 3 was "spicy enough", but when the orders arrived, we had to ask for spices on the side because it was not really that "spicy enough". Next time, when we asked for a level 4, just advise that it will be spicy, but no need to complicate matters like, giving us level 3 and then side spices so we can adjust it ourselves. When we ask for a level 4, then just give us a 4.

Great food (Indian, Tibetan, Nepalese) and lovely service. You could die for their naan with cheese and curry. Price in line with Amsterdam, more convenient if you go for the menu. Absolutely recommended!

It's not only about the food, the taste .. but the people are amazing! We booked a dinner on Thursday, we were late bcs of the road closure in Amsterdam, the guy who help us with the reservation was very patient responding on our calls, he guided us to have the best experience for Nepali's cuicine! We are so happy and today we came back for take away menu! Thanks for the best service!! They forgot to pack our sheek kabab, but gave us a call 😁 immediately. We love the food. Next time would love to increase the spicy levels 😘

We came here on our last night in Amsterdam and it was such a good sauce. The restaurant interior was lovely. The service was fantastic, very efficient, welcoming and helpful. Everything we ordered tasted fantastic. Highly recommend.

Amazing! Very tasty food, loved it! Fresh, homemade, big portion plus a very nice, friendly stuff. Prices are reasonable for the quality and location. Great soup and momos ❤️ I'll definitely come back again.

A friend suggested this restaurant and I am happy with my experience because the staff was very friendly and the food was really good. There were many options to choose from and they had different levels of spiciness to suit everyone's taste. It's not exactly a fancy place for a big group, but it's a great choice for someone who wants to try Indian food.

Great Indian food with good service right in the middle of the touristy part of town. We went for the 3 course meal which ended up being too much food but it did give us a chance to sample lots of things. The two standouts were the garlic cheese naan and the yogurt based desert.

My friends and I had the most delicious feast at Sherpa last night. Not only was the food outstanding and unique but the service was also incredible. Everyone working here was so attentive, kind, and really had a passion for serving good fun and giving you a good experience. This could be one of my new favorite places in Amsterdam. We really loved the vegetable momos, the chili paneer, and the Tibetan noodles (I got the "lusha sherpa feast"). If you drink alcohol, try the raksi. You won't be disappointed!

Mine and my partners favourite Indian restaurant in Amsterdam. Honestly 10/10, have found it really hard to find a curry that compares 😍 their butter chicken is INCREDIBLE!! *chefs kiss* The staff are so accommodating and are happy to help you at all times! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cosy and welcoming 🫶🏻

I visit here monthly for the love of momos. I have tried all their main course dishes. I love most of their menu, however their Nepalese main courses are just amazing. Recommendations: Gorkha styled mutton (yes they are tender) or chicken. It comes with rice. One portion is sufficient for 2 hogger s. Quick service and better to reserve in advance.

The food was excellent! Thank you for the wonderful adventure. Never ate such good Naan bread. The main dish was amazingly delicious. The price is a bit high but okish for the quality of food. Would recommend!

Food was quite average. The curry wasn’t so complex and the flavours didn’t penetrate the meat that well. The other sauces were alright but nothing mind blowing. For 30 EUR ish, this is quite an expensive meal for something that should really leave you impressed. Not quite authentic - tried better for less.

We rolled into the Sherpa restaurant at 9pm, a bit worried we would not be well received. I was wrong, and after a big smiled we were seated, served, and brought delicious cocktails. The food was brilliant, the service was personal, and the vibes immaculate. Come for a feed.

I visited this restaurant yesterday with my wife and we were blown away by the culinary experience. We ordered the Chicken Momo & Sheek kebab for starters and Yeti Meal with Tarka dall rice and a Nan bread to share....and to say it was “Good” is a vast understatement. The dishes were served in good time each course was just the right quantity and by the end of the meal we felt absolutely full...Throughly enjoyed the meal after a long walk. The staff were exceptional, welcoming & the service was alert all the time we spent in the restaurant I ended up leaving them a small tip as I felt it was necessary and well deserved....10/10 would recommend to anyone who has a delectable appetite for an Indian, Nepalese & Tibetean Cuisine. This restaurant is not a tourist trap, the quality of food and services perfectly match the price.which is very reasonable & afforadable for all visiting Amsterdam. A little cosy gem of a restaurant situated near the famous leidesplein in the heart of Amsterdam. Highly recomemded !!!

Had a great dinner with my friends, we made our dinner reservations on the way there from Brussels and were able to get set up as soon as we reached. The entrées were served 10min after we order and the staff was at our disposal for the whole time. The food was tasty, the portions were generous and the ambiance of the restaurant is so relaxing. I will always go back to Sherpa restaurant everytime I am in Amsterdam. I wish i could give it a 10 out of 5 stars.

The restaurant is fine, the waiters are friendly and professional, the food we chose was very good, big plates and reasonable prices for being Amsterdam and being in the center, perhaps the only thing that was a bit spicy.

My friend and I found Sherpa via Yelp and were not disappointed! Amazing food, and kind, friendly service. Really satisfied with the experience and stuffed. I recommend the Nepalese Momo vegetarian dumplings. If you’re American, they’re currently accepting credit cards and cash.

Great food! This restaurant is only a short walk from Park Centraal where we were staying. Reservation is highly recommended although they were able to sit some walk ins when we went. It was busy but our food (which required an additional 20 mins prep) came out without having to wait long. It was fresh, hot and delicious! Highly recommended if you are in the area and wanted to try something different!

The best Indian restaurant in the city. The food was incredible, portions so big even with two of us could barely finish. Came here as a birthday celebration and the team went above and beyond, surprising us with a homemade treat.

Thank you the food was very tasty. I ordered lamb with 12 spices and was very pleased. It was so tasty that I was happy to order a second portion. Unfortunately, I was already full after the first one. Greetings to the kitchen.

Host was very accommodating. Only outdoor table available and was a threat of rain. As soon as a table opened up inside he shuttled us in. Excellent food, attentive and kind staff. Large and varied menu but all made with quality. Excellent

Excellent food - excellent staff - great choice and options for Vegetarians and vegans alike. Go for traditional Nepali cuisine if you can instead of the standard Indian cuisine that you can find in tons of other spaces around (even though the quality here will be good) as you will find it really good. The traditional plates were a nice touch - and enjoyed the yoghurt dessert in a terracotta bowl. Go for it if you like sweet yoghurt :)

Amazing food. I often feel Nepalese cuisine is mixed up with Indian cuisine in the restaurants that serve Nepalese food outside Nepal. But in this particular restaurant, they have divided the menu in Indian and Nepalese cuisine. I was craving some nepali khana and ordered Aalu Tama Bodi ko tarkari and I loved it. I was compelled to visit the second time as well to try out momos. Loved them honestly! Also the daal soup is surprisingly good. If you’re around the area and are an admirer of Nepalese cuisine, definitely check it out!

We were a big group and got the 2-course menu (starter + main dish) and some beers. The food was very good and we left with a full belly. The price was decent and the waiters were very polite, friendly and always with a smile on their face. I would definitely recommend this place.
