I visited Tunmise for the first time on Sunday, Oct 29. I usually twist my hair myself at home, but I decided to go to the salon because I wanted 'poshness' and some hair-TLC. Unfortunately, I didn't get those BUT I got a hairdo that I am very happy with. The salon could use a facelift, in my opinion, but the staff know their stuff and they're quite courteous. If the aesthetics aren't a deal breaker for you, definitely, go here. If you plan to go during the weekend, I recommend you take some reading material, or something to do while you wait. This is my favorite salon to make my natural hair. The customer service is so good that you would always want to come back to. The stylist are so friendly. They do all styles of hair and also they make nails, mani and pedicures. They sell great hair extensions and hair care products, they specialize in pampering your hair. The building is appealing as it is painted in white and there is a beautiful signpost with a pretty naturalist and Tunmise is inscribed on it. The building is quite spacious and in side the salon there is a reception and a waiting area with a television to watch while you wait to be attended to. And they attend to customers swiftly. Also in the styling room there are mirrors on the wall you can stare at while your hair is being made. This is a place to be and I assure that you would love how your hair turns out.

This was my first time here and it was a great experience as it is the first place in years where I did my natural hair with no pain and no headache. Plus customer service was on point. I'll be back and I hope experience only gets better.

I loosed, washed and matted. The environment is okay and the stylists are experts in handling natural hair. It is pretty expensive and the average may not be able to keep up especially if you go to the salon twice a month.

Since I discovered this place, it's my best favourite place to go to make my hair. They are gentle and kind, plus my hair lasts longer (that's a plus for me). Thanks Team Tumise. Oh and affordable too considering their location.

Great services all the time. The stylist sure know their stuff but be prepared to wait a bit especially if you go on a weekend. Reasonably priced also but the downside is you pay for everything from washing to loosening so at the end of the day if you are not careful the prices can add up very fast jacking up what you eventually pay. But in all not a bad place at all.....

Been there twice in two months and about to go for my third visit and I must say my hair thanks me for it. I was having a severe reaction which made my scalp severely inflamed and itchy from different hair treatments as I’ve been going from one salon to another trying to get someone that can work gently on my very coarse hair type. Went there skeptically the first time and was attended to by Lateefah, my scalp felt so relieved after and after the second visit, my scalp is fully healed from the irritation. Not that any treatment was used, the difference was the hair handling and care. This place is really far from where I stay but I’d keep going and would always ask for Lateefah as her hands are therapy for my scalp. Loosening, washing and corn row(didi) cost 3,500, but my hair’s my crown so I’d glad to invest in it.
