Ganvie boat station is a nice place to take boat to discover the african Venise (le village lacustre de Gancmvie) a verry exciting and curiouse place to go. It takes almost 1 hour to make round trio and discover many things overthere. You ll have to pay almost 10usd per person. Not far from that place is the tokpa market where you'll find fish to buy.

The port where all the boats go to Ganvie village. Full of activity with a rich mix between tourists and the locals going or coming from Ganvie floating village. Just the basic infrastructure but enough to support the commercial activity: fishery and vegetable markets and tourist station.

Locals say that Voodoo bird and crocodile helped their ancestors by guiding them to the current location of the floating village of Ganvie. This boat station is were you can rent a boat and have the ride to the village. The lake is very lively with many locally built boats. locals use here a special fishing technique using sticks. I enjoyed being in Ganvie village, it is colorful physically and spiritually as you will see Mosques, Churches and Voodoo in the same place
