The pyramid of Neferirkare is in the Abu Sir region, directly north of the Saqqara region, approximately 4.5 kilometers away from it. It is located south of Giza and approximately 25 kilometers from Cairo. There are two other pyramids directly next to it. The pyramid was built with mud brick, as were the rest of the pyramids in the Abu Sir region. This area contains cemeteries, tombs, and pyramids of the Fifth Dynasty The pyramid was built with mud bricks - not stones - and its buildings deteriorated as a result of erosion and the passage of time.

Pyramid of Neferikare. Very nice, as there is no tourism here yet. the area is not open to the public.

Maybe less impressive but only compare to other pyramids in Egypt, still worth the visit. Just don't understand why people upload here photos not related to the site?!

The most beautiful and quiet area from the rest of the other archaeological areas, the pyramids are still majestic despite the bad conditions surrounding them due to climate change and deliberate neglect of them. It is between two important areas, the Pyramids of Giza and the Step Pyramid of Saqqara. We hope it will be opened to visitors soon.
