No trip to the Step or Red Pyramid should end without seeing this Museum. It's small but has Imhotep's Mummy too. I must add the ride to Saqqara (also spelled Sakkara or Saccara) was like riding through a typical 3rd world country. Atypical as compared to other parts of Egypt.

I’ve visited the museum by car, ticket fee was 5 le for the car and 5 le for the museum for Egyptians. The museum is well kept. There are around 280 pieces of ancient statues. Of course there is a statue of Imhotep. No videos were allowed inside the museum, just photos. Great to pass by the museum if you are visiting Saqqara.

our last travel before the restriction, our first encounter to ancient Egyptian culture; we came here straight from the airport. a tiny museum yet with good exhibits, of course in the first few hours still take time to learn. glad we had an expert in the team, who explained the history from window to window. all the stonework were amazing, especially the story behind those 4 canopic jars.

An absolute must see - do the whole Saqqara tour as it is a great combination of pyramids and artifacts. Lots of exquisite sights. Recommend a guide to take you through to tell you facts. Our guide from VIP had 23 years of experience so we learned so much more from him than we would have from just a book. The small details matter! It was absolutely beautiful and the artifacts in the museim were so cool!

(Translated by Google) What can be said about Imhotep THREE TIMES GREAT, Miss Esraa from MEMPHIS Tours strongly recommended this and other places in Saqqara to me, a place that in the words of the most notable Egyptologist "is the most important place in Egypt" is well worth a full day to travel and visit ALL the sites with a lot of time and tranquility. Thanks also to the magnificent work being carried out by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism.

(Translated by Google) Archaeological site par excellence encountered in November 2019! What a timeless experience. This site inhabited by the soul of builders and Egyptian Wisdom is the Ancient Cradle of this flagship civilization for humanity, I had a strong experience in contact with the Mastaba of Ti! After some thirty minutes on the back of a donkey alone in the desert accompanied by my benevolent local guide I was able to enter this tomb totally in Absolute Silence. The Presence of the Master of the place was clearly manifested there, under my eyes filled with stars and peaceful Ocher Light. The whole atmosphere seemed full of Love and Compassion! Everything was One in Itself and on this Place! There we are far from the tourist expedition! It is a real journey of initiatory recognition! Thank you to the Site Curator and to all the teams who work to maintain these wonders! This is about 20km from the Giza Pyramids, and is quite impressive being the near the site of the Step Pyramid and the mortuary complex of King Zoser (Djoser), the Pyramid of Unas, the Teti Pyramid, Old Kingdom tombs with scenes of daily life, and much more. So there are a lot of things to see and the place is well set out and well signed with lots of information.

(Translated by Google) The Imhotep Museum is an archaeological museum located at the foot of the Saqqara tomb complex near Memphis in Lower Egypt. This museum was established in honor and commemoration of the ancient Egyptian architect Imhotep, the executor of the pyramidal group of King Djoser, as the first to establish a hierarchical structure and the first to use stone in the implementation of huge buildings The museum consists of several halls containing more than 500 rare artifacts extracted from the Saqqara archaeological site. The museum display includes a model of Djoser's funerary group, and one of the halls in the museum is designed in the form of a complete tomb that displays a mummy, a wooden sarcophagus, and a number of pottery and alabaster vessels. The museum also includes the library of the French engineer, Jean-Philippe Lauer, who devoted his life to restoring King Djoser's pyramid collection and restoring its features. I believe it has the potential to be a very nice museum. However people will not visit sites where photography is not allowed. I highly recommend that this be reviewed. 80 Egyptian pounds to enter plus 2 Egyptian pounds to park. Also the people at the pyramids also want to be paid.

Imohotep Museum Imhotep (/ɪmˈhoʊtɛp/] Ancient Egyptian: ỉỉ-m-ḥtp "(the one who) comes in peace";fl. late 27th century BCE) was an Egyptian chancellor to the Pharaoh Djoser, possible architect of Djoser's step pyramid, and high priest of the sun god Ra at Heliopolis. Very little is known of Imhotep as a historical figure, but in the 3,000 years following his death, he was gradually glorified and deified. Traditions from long after Imhotep's death treated him as a great author of wisdom texts[3] and especially as a physician.[No text from his lifetime mentions these capacities and no text mentions his name in the first 1,200 years following his death.Apart from the three short contemporary inscriptions that establish him as chancellor to the Pharaoh, the first text to reference Imhotep dates to the time of Amenhotep III (c. 1391–1353 BCE). It is addressed to the owner of a tomb, and reads: The wab-priest may give offerings to your ka. The wab-priests may stretch to you their arms with libations on the soil, as it is done for Imhotep with the remains of the water bowl.

The museum is unique. Not crowded and has the oldest stone pieces created. The oldest stone columns, the oldest stone art, oldest stone ceiling. Imhotep and his creations under pharaoh Djoser. Totally worth it, and it's included in the saqqara ticket for 180LE for no student tourists

An excellent museum dedicated mostly to the ingenuity of Imhotep, the architect of the first pyramid in history. You can feast your eyes on several masterpieces gathered from Saqqara including a pedestal of a statue inscribed with the name of the chief architect Imhotep next to his king Zoser.
