Really enjoyed our dinner! Would have never found this place had we not been celebrating a friend's birthday. Black owned establishment but the crowd was a very diverse crowd which says alot about the vibe and the food. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice. Although, about an hour away from my home, I would go again.

We visited this black owned establishment on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. I have heard around my community that this is a great place to eat! Prior to I called and left a message before opening time to set a reservation for 6 pm that evening. Not long after I received a text that my reservation was accepted. There is free parking in the plaza of the restaurant which is quite nice. Although it can get crowded due to the crowd demand for this business. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner who confirmed our reservation. The restaurant has a Mediterranean feel and reminded me of Greece with the blue and white theme. They even have a Mediterranean style fireplace inside which I’m sure they light during the colder months for an added comfort aesthetic. We were seated immediately at a nice table for two towards the back wall. I understood why they didn’t seat us in the middle due to those tables being for larger parties and I was grateful we didn’t get seated near the kitchen also. Our waitress came right over and introduced herself as MJ. She was very nice, professional, and knowledgeable on the menu. They had a specific menu for July 20, 2022 and also their set standard menu. The waitress informed us you can order from either or for the evening and all menu items were in stock. We ordered the following items: fried alligator, white sangria, swordfish au poivre with hashbrowns & French green beans, roasted half chicken with garlic mashed potatoes & French green beans, and the cinnamon spice cake. The sangria came out shortly and was lightly sweet and quite refreshing. The fried alligator came out right after which was crispy, had a nice breaded coating with the succulent meat, and the sweet Thai chili sauce was a great complement. The alligator was not rubbery and was easy to chew. Not long after our entrees came out. The waitress MJ constantly checked on us throughout our meal experience. They also had staff to take plates away from the table constantly. The swordfish patty was crisp and had a classic flaky texture on the inside. It was seasoned well and was a great experience for my first time having swordfish. The honey mustard cognac was a great complement for dipping the swordfish in. The hash brown reminded me of Waffle House hashbrowns except with the gooey cheese and peppers inside. The green beans were cooked pretty well and weren’t too crisp or too mushy. The portion sizes were pretty good also and I ended up having a to go plate. My boyfriend stated the baked chicken was crisp and the pan jus included made the chicken have a buttery savory taste. He stated this was the best baked chicken he’s ever had. He also enjoyed the French green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. I did use the restroom which was clean although a bit hot temperature wise. I assume this is because the women’s restroom is right by the kitchen. I can tell this is a popular place because there were so many people that filed in throughout the evening. The cinnamon spice cake dessert was very delicious. The cake was so moist, perfectly sweet, and rich. The vanilla bean icecream and homemade whipped cream was the perfect combination. The cake even had a nice toasted marshmallow on top which made it even more decadent. The waitress informed us that one of the employees there makes the cinnamon spice cake dessert themselves. This was an amazing experience and we greatly enjoyed the food and service. As we were leaving the owner noticed I was taking photos and asked if I was going to leave a review. I stated yes and it would be on Google. She proceeded to take our photo and stated she would post it on Instagram. They also have really lovely patio area with nice greenery outside and plenty of patio seating. It was too hot to sit outdoors, but it would be perfect for early fall. All of the staff seemed quite professional and service oriented. I felt the drive was a bit far being that it’s in Acworth, but it is definitely worth the drive. I highly recommend everyone in Atlanta try this black owned business and make the drive out to do so.

Drove from Sandy Springs on a recommendation. The restaurant is modern with a large patio and gas firepit. Everyone that dealt with us was happy and knowledgeable about the menu. Wide variety of fish was available and the portions are quite large. All of the items we ordered were prepared properly with just the right amount of seasoning and sauce to add flavor not hide it. Wonderful experience! Worth the drive. We will be back.

Absolutely fantastic place! My wife and I and our oldest son went there to celebrate my wife's new job. Appetizers were hair y'all and coconut shrimp. Crab legs are her favorite and why we chose the place, she loved them and they were relatively affordable. My Horseradish encrusted grouper was outstanding. The desserts were also wonderful. The picture is if my Deconstructed Red Velvet Cake and I couldn't finish it all! My wife's key lime pie was delicious as well!

Even though they were very busy, we didn’t have to wait very long. The outdoor seating around the fire was a very nice touch for date night, and all of our food was cooked perfectly. While a touch pricey, everything we ordered was very good. We will definitely be back. Side note: I would say that the one thing they could improve upon is the menu options for people that don’t eat pork. Bacon is in quite a few of the dishes.

Fish Thyme is my favorite restaurant for quality and flavorful seafood! I love getting the North Georgia trout and truffle fries. The food and experience is always amazing! I encourage you to make reservations because this restaurant is crowded because of the great service and cuisine. Additionally this is a black owned and family owned establishment.

I decided to take my wife to Fish Thyme to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a great experience. I had a reservation, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. Our waitress, MJ, went over the specials and took excellent care of us. We started with the crab stuffed mushrooms for our appetizer (highly recommend). For our entrées, I had Horsersdish Encrusted Grouper with green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. My wife had the Stuffed Salmon with smashed sweet potatoes and creamy spinach. Both our dishes were delicious and more than filling. It was a little loud, but it was a full restaurant on a Saturday night. It was a great overall atmosphere.

Love the food, service and decor. We had the fried alligator, fried green tomatoes, Cesar salad, and the bruschetta which were are amazingly delicious. Our main entrée's were the stuffed salmon with crab, trout, lobster tail, fried shrimp, fried Catfish all were exceptionally and seasoned to perfection. Hands down the best dining experience. We drove up from Chattanooga, Tn for the day to celebrate my two aunts birthdays who flew in from Chicago. Well worth the drive and flight...

We attempted to go here over without a reservation and unfortunately it didn’t work. But we went back last night for our anniversary and it was worth the wait! We started with the coconut shrimp and raw oysters. My husband had the flounder while I had the salmon sorrel…it was so good. I could have used a little more basil but it was excellent. We had the pineapple cake for dessert. We would have been fine with a half of what we had…the portions are very good sized. Drinks were good. Service was good. We will be back!

I've been dying to get to Fish Thyme since I moved to the area and let me say I was not disappointed. With a reservation, we barely waited 5 min for our table and the overall ambiance of the dining spaces were amazing. Everything from the drinks, lobster bisque, gumbo, trout, redfish and key lime pie was delicious. If you're going to be in the area and can get a reservation, do yourself a favor and try Fish Thyme. *Keep in mind they are only opened certain days of the week during dinner hours*

Omg the food here is amazing. Best Calamari I’ve ever had. Crusted flounder was extremely fresh and delicious . The service was excellent. Do Not over dress, 95% of customers are in jeans and sneakers. I can’t wait to go back. Warm pineapple cake to end the night for my birthday.

After reading all the great reviews & looking at their menu, I have been wanting to dine at FishThyme for quite awhile. My Date & I came in for dinner. This restaurant is very busy, so reservations are recommended. We were pleasantly greeted by the hostess, and seated promptly. For appetizer's we chose Baked Oysters & Crab Stuffed Mushrooms. Excellent! I also had a Kale Side Salad with grated Parmesan Cheese. For our entrées, I had the Horseradish Encrusted Grouper. My Date had the Blackened Texas Redfish. Our sides were a vegetable medley, Brussel Sprouts, Radicchio, Carrots & Corn. Everything was absolutely delicious and prepared perfectly! We both were in awe of how great everything tasted. We have to give a special salute to our amazing server, Brianna. She was very polite, professional and just a Sweetie! She was there for every need & want we had. If you are passing through Acworth & want an over the top dining experience, drop in to Fish Thyme, you can thank me later....

Loved visiting our aunt and uncle in Georgia! They showed us one of their favorite spots, and I can see why! The brushetta is honestly the best we have EVER had! The fish thyme special was to die for paired with their parmesean truffle fries 🤤❤️ the staff was warm and welcoming and took their time explaining the specials to us! If I lived here, it would be my favorite spot too!!

I've always loved this place since they've opened. The food is consistently excellent. The staff is friendly and food comes out like clock work. If I want a little slice if heaven I will treat myself to fish thyme. I had the lamb chops which was on their special of the day menu ... it was of course amazing!

Wonderful atmosphere and food! From the cheesy crab dip appetizer that was so hot you had to be careful to the brie cheese salad to the fish entrees, this restaurant is top notch. Thank you! DJ was great too.

I ordered the trout meuniere, spinach, mash potatoes and it was divine. The staff was very attentive, the ambiance is quaint. The lemon drop was hitting. We sat at the bar top tables and had a great view of the entire scene. It gives off a sharp clean look with the few paintings and setup. I can't wait to go back.
