Eko hospital (Maryland, Ikeja branch) is the WORST hospital I've ever been to. Their staff (especially the ones at the front desk who open patient files and those in their HMO/NHIS office) are VERY RUDE, AGGRESSIVE and act as though they are frustrated! They lack decorum and professionalism!! It's such a SHAME that a hospital with so much specialists and equipment would have staff members who are worse than local government touts!!! I wish I could rate the hospital less than 1 on a scale of 5!!

A good hospital especially for children. The reception area is a bit cramp but then the service from the medical team will make you easily forget this. The front desk staff will need to be more professional in their approach. Parking can be a challenge when they have many patients/visitors.

If there was a column for no star, I would definitely give it. I went here with my little brother who had a cut on his hand, the front desk person asked me to wait for dressing that a nurse would be with me shortly, I sat there with my little brother waiting while listening to the nurses argue over who would attend to us. We waited for over 30minutes until we eventually got up and left.

Truth be told. The hospital has one of the best professionals in paediatric and gynaecological care. Some of the nurses especially the older ones are caring and thoughtful. The midwives are fantastic However,I can't say I had a great experience with some nurses. I was not happy with my last visit.I had a sick baby who cried all night and not once did any of the nurses on night duty call in to check on us or help comfort him. I felt alone and stressed and was counting the minutes to go back home where I could get the support I needed. A hospital should offer care and support. That is why children are placed on admission, I think.

Terrible experience always . The old nurses are good but the doctors are inexperienced . I had an ultrasound there sometime ago. I thought it was going to be a private time with my husband but there were over 6 other people in the small scan room chatting ,eating , laughing out loud with different people walking in and out of the room . Terrible hospital

The pediatrician at mother and child hospital adeniyi jones is nothing to write home about. That fat lady always asking people to do very unnecessary tests. She’s always speculating and she speaks rudely to patients.

Two star because they have the best Surgeon, that slim surgeon, does the best CS, can't even see the lines, but outside that the staff at Adeniyi Jones are so rude, the hospital system isn't organised at Adeniyi Jones, you can be there for 2 hours and not be attended to, most Saturdays there is only 1 doctors attending to a whole lots of people, same doctor attending to visitors will leave you to Start roam service, the waste of time in that place is legendary, plus mother and child can have issues with HMO for Africa, we use 5 HMOs in the office, all of them have suspended mother and child in their plan, I had to pay out of pocket, it's not funny

So slooooow. Like a government hospital. Spend hours waiting just to collect drugs. Staff to patient ratio is low. Too poor.

I recently spent few hours here and I wasn't disappointed from the courteous security guys to the loving nurses and Doctors who were always smiling at every instance. You wouldn't know from outside that the hospital is bigger than what one sees from outside, the toilets and bathroom's are clean and the food given upon admission is good( breakfast, lunch and dinner). They have high regards for HMO patients.

They were receptive, quick to sort out my registration, luckily I got the contact of a nurse who guided me because I thought Eko Hospital was a Government hospital. Lol They had the form of a government hospital in some way and didn't look like they would be expensive but they are for private patients. Registration - #5,000, consultation - #21,900. Luckily, I didn't find any nurse trying to swindle some money from me like the public hospitals. I experienced a one hour delay which usually is common to public hospitals while waiting for a consultant to arrive and the argument of who came before who ensued. These are loose ends for a private hospital as old as Eko Hospital. However, they have a canteen at the ground floor which wasn't bad.

Really disappointing for a 21st century hospital. First the place looks like a general hospital. Then I don't understand how a hospital of such status can't have a resident pediatrician. One needs to come on a Thursdays to meet with a pediatrician for a hospital that's supposedly meant for women and children??? I think they should do better

Service is poor, it takes an average of 2 -3 hrs to see a Doctor, and a minimum of 2hrs to be billed before you can pickup medication.

I almost lost someone precious at the Surulere beanch of this hospital. They gave us a very wrong text result which would have resulted into pure tragedy. For me it's not about how beautiful your structure looks. It's more about how outstanding or how well dressed your staff are! The truth is their services are not effective!

New inexperienced doctors employed every month. Good nurses don't work long there. Infact you keep seeing new staffs and the old ones not maintained go for greener pastures. Its more like a general hospital. No organisation, injustice everywhere. Bad and rude attitudes of certain staffs. Poor ante natal class: nothing is taught. It is assumed you should know it all. OKAY for now

Have been here at their Ikeja branch since early morning before 7 am to see a surgeon for 1 pm. Will have been the first to be attended to but the attitude of the receptionist on duty makes me the last. She did not forward my card and she can't even apologized for her action. Am really pained I burst to tears openly. Have never been humiliated in my entire life. Till now(5:14 pm) am still yet to see the surgeon.

The Eko Hospital, Ikeja branch is a landmark along Maryland - Mobolaji Bank Anthony road. The hospital is a private hospital and has been around for as long as I can remember, providing all classes of medicare though securing appointment for medical consultation could be challenging and the staffs sometimes are not so welcoming, maybe due to much work or activity, but this hospital is definitely one of the Best hospital in Lagos.

They waste patient's time and efforts way too much. They have practices in place to make them squeeze money out of patients, yet stressful for these same patients. Their HMO office is the worst, it takes them 3-4 hours to send a simple email to HMOs for approval of services and still won't sync the response to the rest hospital. While I was waiting for them to send an email, I saw a woman that just gave birth with her new born being tossed everywhere to get tests done. And they are rude about it.

The staff of the hospital especially the nurses are totally rude... No iota of concern for their patients at all... My sister is currently at the hospital and the whole reception is totally unprofessional.... The approach to work by the staff is something that will run down this hospital if measures are not taken... As a professional nurse, one should be compassionate. Monies are being spent for the service to be provided but the quality of service is not what one can make referrals for... The Doctors are professional, that's the only good thing about the hospital.

I have never seen a hospital as incompetent as Mother and Child, Adeniyi Jones! Firstly, they were praying at the top of their voices and clapping at past 8AM with patients waiting in the waiting room! Secondly, I spent half of my day at the hospital and could not do a simple abdominal scan. They asked me to return the next day which I did, only to get there and I am hearing that I have to see a doctor the second time because the doctor that attended to me the previous day did not send my scan details to the concerned person. So I have to redo vitals and see a doctor again before proceeding to scan! The gross incompetent displayed at Mother and Child is unmatched plus their staff lacks empathy! I strongly do not recommend.

The staff I met at the reception is the most non challant hospital staff I’ve ever met. She was not ready to do something as simple as sending a request to the HMO for me to be attended to. She said that to me to my face so I’m not making it up, even after the HMO spoke with her. It’s such a shame that I had this experience on my first visit there. I’ve had to leave in anger.
