Amazing food, staff is even better. The quality of the menu and the staff justify the higher prices. I definitely recommend coming here for special events or catering, that is where the Menendez family shines. Possibly the most under-rated brunch in St Louis.

Really, really nice place. Surprisingly large inside. I ordered the Braised Short Rib Ravioli. Wife ordered the special, which was Scallops . Both were excellent. Service was great. Parking was a little tough because the lot is so small, but we found a spot. Will go again.

Visited Sunset 44 for our wedding anniversary! Our first time there! We had heard good things and it was even better than anticipated! My husband had the pork tenderloin which was so good! I had the salmon with veggies and that was delicious as well! We also had the brownie pie which was super yummy! Service was awesome! Highly recommend!!

I was very surprised with my food. Since I'm vegan, I had to call my order in advance. Wow, the food was amazing.. oven roasted potatoes in olive oil with eggplant, mushrooms with marinara sauce. Outstanding taste. The salad was delicious as well!

We went in for the first time today. Overall the food was delicious with the exception of the crab cakes as they came out cold. The place is cute and the gentleman that sat us was sweet and attentive. Unfortunately our server ruined our experience. Chris our server, not only showed a disinterest in serving us, he went out of his way to make us feel uncomfortable. When we were ordering our meal I requested to sub out a side and he seemed irritated by the request. When our food arrived I asked what dessert options were available and his response was along the lines of I can't answer your question because I have to attend my other tables. I was instantly appalled and disappointed. As the food and vibe was good we'd most likely come back to try other dishes but we would request to not have the same server.

This is one of the finest restaurants. It's a hidden GEM! In every way the food always comes out fantastic. The menu offers a good balanced selection from seafood, poultry, meats to greens and veggie options. Their flatbread is divine and their vino is excellent! Great Happy Hour specials to boot. Service is very friendly and knowledgeable. It's a GO TO for great food and friendly atmosphere. Added plus is outdoor seating areas!!

We had a lovely evening for our company department Christmas party at Sunset 44 Bistro. Carrie was easy to talk to and walked us through all of the options. Food was great! Room was great! Servers were great! There was a miscommunication about needing a wall or screen for a presentation. Just make sure everything is clarified ahead of time to prevent any last minute changes. They corrected it seamless and effortlessly. Everyone has a wonderful evening!

Family owned and operated upscale restaurant in downtown kirkwood. The owners make you feel like part of the family. The staff make sure you’ll always want to come back. Great drinks, food and atmosphere!

First time, happened to be in the area based on reviews we stopped for dinner. We enjoyed linguine and clams, Ribeye medium rare. Service very attentive.

Excellent food. Unbelievable wine list. Service is prompt. A wonderful family has operated this restaurant for more than 40 years.

The medium rare here was perfect. Andersen (sp?) is a great server; knowledgeable, everpresent and responsive, but not intrusive. The host (likely also the owner (didn’t catch his name, but know that he was once a runner and now prefers bicycling due to his knees - mine aren’t great anymore either) is a great conversationalist and friendly to all guests. I also saw him teach a waiter a new (to the waiter) method of opening a bottle of wine. The old fashioned and the Moscow mules are great.

I was there for an association luncheon attended by approximately 30 people. The lunch was excellent, and the bread pudding dessert was amazing! I highly recommend Sunset 44.

Perfect corner bar. No frills, decent prices, friendly staff. This is definitely a local place with lots of regulars. Didn’t have any food, but looked like they would have decent bar fare. Live music on certain nights.

Our family always comes here for special occasions and the food and service is great. They are very tolerant of kids as well.

We went to see a murder mystery there (a special event) and they served only two choices of meals and the food was mediocre, however the main restaurant food is very good. The wait staff were polite.
