We came as a delegation of 17 including senior members of a Government. You would think that the reception and check in would be efficient. TWO HOURS mainly due to the total incompetence of the supervisor on reception. Who was not only rude but aggressive and insisted that more rooms were booked than had been. Despite even his staff saying they understood. This was compounded by having no management available. The next morning when we requested the GM he cowardly hid behind his Director of Sales because he was on an important zoom call. As if his guests were not his priority The lack of management was clear from a Number of points of view. One of our party a noted industrial psychologist stated this was a classic case of management absence. Accor you need to seriously intervene.

If i could rate it 0, I would! My experience was disappointing. One of the worsts ever! I almost decide to not come back to Agadir because of the disappointment with this hotel. When we arrived, we could tell for a 5 stars hotel, the hallway and the toilet in the lobby werr not clean and very mouldy which we didn’t expect from a 5 stars hotel. The room was small for the price we paid and it has this distinctive smell / aroma - it’s not really pleasant. Considering high price is really not worth it. Hotel is also eerily quiet, we came on the weekend so we were confused on how empty is the hotel. Not giving a good vibe at all. Some of the staff are nice, but the majority are quite rude and offer less than standard of hospitality when we expected 5* experience. Very disappointed. Breakfast was really bad, some of the food that’s supposed to be in fridge temperature was out in room temperature and it tasted off (Houmous, Butter, Cheese). The selection of food wasn’t a lot either. The atmosphere is not lively at all, everything looks old, furnitures look very old and the overall hotel is not that clean. We had to wait 45mins for drinks at the beach and everyone seems so confused but nobody was actually helpful. Understood if the majority people only speak french/arabic and cannot speak english, but they didn’t even try to be accommodating in english as most of the time they either just ignore or disregarded whatever we asked for. We were asking a barcode to order room service and we were given a sewing kit. Very confused. Food from outside are not allowed and the room service food was not good at all. I ordered pasta and I found a tiny hair / eyelash or whatever that is. The worst highlight of the experience was the time they declined my husband to go to the main restaurant with short, which is understandable, so we changed and came back with more appropriate dressing. However, later that night, we saw a guy coming with shorts and slippers and he didn’t get declined? He definitely speaks French and we only speak english, not really sure what is the bias here but that was very rude. My husband was raging, I don’t understand if we were not allowed how comes somebody else was allowed?!? On the day when I was in the pool, I am just minding my own business taking selfie by the pool and was on my phone. I tried to take a recording of the surrounding and the staff came to us in a quite a rude way and says no pictures allowed. It makes sense and it was fine, but 15 means leading to this, the staffs were just rounding me and looking at me very weirdly idk if it’s because I’ve been taking selfie? But they could have came to me nicely and say pictures are not allowed. Rather than making me uncomfortable watching and rounding me for a good 15 mins and still being rude once they told me. We booked 4 days, and left two days early cause I couldn’t stand this hotel no more! It was horrible. We moved to another resort which was absolutely the best, top service, we were treated like in a 5*, and honestly nothing like this! Avoid this hotel. I am aware I couldn’t get a refund but they were not even trying or be nice when we were trying to leave early because of the experience. Some compensation would have been good. We ended up just losing 2 nights here and spending the rest of our times in other resort. Paid £700+ in total and ended up wasting half of the money. Never again, definitely gave a misleading experience to Agadir. When I was in the other resort that was a 180 degree turn and our holiday start to feels like a holiday. Please upgrade your hotel and do something about it, maybe train your staff or just tell them to be more polite. Overall it’s a horrible experience for us. Never again.

Currently staying in this supposedly 5 star hotel. From the day we entered we could tell it really is not 5 stars. The rooms are dirty, the hallways are dirty. The doors are all damaged. The service is absolutely ridiculous. Waited from 12pm till 3pm to get any service at the pool for food. Even the life guard gave up in finding someone to come and serve us. We ended up ordering mcdonalds. We had to come to reception twice to get someone from the pool team to come and see us & by then I refused to eat from the hotel as they dont seem to want my money. The manager of the hotel could not be bothered to come and speak to me even though requested by a lovely member of staff at the reception. I am waiting to see who this manager is so he understands that hes doing a ridiculous job of managing this hotel. I wish we hadnt booked this hotel as its the worse we have ever been. Would never think its a sofitel hotel. As we dont speak french the staff do treat you very differently and i really dont understand all these good reviews. For someone whos stayed in many 5 star hotels this has got to be the worse. Not to mention our first room in this hotel stank due to drain blockage but they did move us to another room which was fine. Overall very dirty feel to the hotel and its not looked after at all. Only good thing is the pool is lovely and the private beach.

Hotel is amazing.. good atmosphere and beautiful view and gardens. Room size is little small compared to price paid but it was OK since there was an outdoor sofa viewing the garden. I had problem dealing with reception as they booked amount of my credit card and canceled it when I was checking out and then asked me to pay the whole stay fees while canceled amount still didn't get back to my account. They told me it would get back to my account within 24 hours and now it has been 3 days and still the amount didn't get back to my account. It was such a stupid thing to do. Also, it was difficult to communicate with receptions as I speak English and Arabic and they were too much into speaking French..

Keep all belongings locked up in the safe or keep it with person as the cleaners there steal money and expensive belongings. We caught the cleaner red handed and managers were informed. On the last day we were told by manager that we would receive an email regarding what happened and have not received an update in a month. I would not expect this service from a five star hotel especially claiming to be one of the best in Agadir. We paid £200 a night and do not expect such bad service and belongings to be stolen for the price paid. This is something unacceptable even for a one star hotel let alone a five star.

We had a wonderful holiday at the hotel! The staff were very helpful and friendly! We loved sitting at the beach bar looking at the ocean! The private beach is wonderful! The buffet breakfasts and dinners are exceptional! Our stay was made even better by the kind attention from our super super chamber maid Leela who looked after us every day! Thank you Leela and see you next year

We stayed here for 3 nights and had constructions at the pool area non stop everyday even during lunch break. They promised us every day that it will stop tomorrow but it did not stop, not really relaxing... Choice for breakfast also not 5* a like. Very small variety, for example only 1 kind of ham, nothing else. No fresh fruits. You need to be lucky to see a waiter to ask for a cappuccino.

We stayed 2022 october 19th 23H30 until october 23rd 09H00. We are French/English speakers so communications was very easy. Hotel shuttle was waiting for us even if it was late. Hotel indoor : up to Sofitel standards in term of design, atmosphere, and overall service. Decoration is modern/oriental. Hotel outdoor : Fantastic landscaping. Pools are perfect, plenty of space to relax. Great service from the staff to accommodate our requests and needs. The gardens are one of the best I have seen for an hotel resort. The beach side is simply perfect in the perimeter of Sofitel. The beach (public area) is clean and safe. Rooms : Rooms are overall great but would need a little bit of finition/rework. Nothing very major in my opinion but the management should look at it to prevent future customer complaints in a few months from now. Sofitel shall always be perfect. I would give it a pass on this one due to EXCELLENCE of service from the staff. Without proper customer service I might have done a different review for the rooms. We had an issue with our room. AC was probably missing freon so the AC pushed humid air. The staff gently proposed us to change the room and we finally found a proper room with a better view. So let's be realistic, an hotel can't be 100% perfect but the staff can save the experience by making sure we find a compromise. Sofitel Agadir staff did that for us so a little issue was converted to a positive customer experience so we have to reward that by a 5 stars review. Miss Mouna chief of cleaning staff, from what I understand, made sure our new room was up to our request. Miss Ibtissam of customer relation made sure that our little issue was taken care of. Restaurant : Breakfast is great and with variety. Since it is a buffet you will be ok for 3 to 4 breakfast. After that it might become a bit repetitive. Lunch and Dinner are great options if you want to hang out at the hotel. Therefore you have plenty of options either by walking distance by the sea side or by taxi. Restaurant staff : Miss Zahira took great care of my wife and I during our breakfasts and lunches. We were treated with elegance and always very quickly. The rest of the staff also care a lot about the customers. Management should be proud of the team and make sure to keep them happy at Sofitel 😉 valuable employees are key to the success of an hotel. Beach side and staff: Mr Naji from the beach staff is taking great care of us in regards to towels, snacks, tea and drinks. Always available for you if needed The beach is nicely setup and the mattress are confortable. We always found one available but maybe because it was not high season. Quick note : onr area of the hotel is under renovation as of end of October so be advised, it could be noisy but you can avoid it by staying on the sea side if the hotel.

No hair dryer in the room, waited 30 minutes to get it. Upon arrival, hallways looked uncleaned. The entrance security staff has starting problems. I’ve stayed at 3 star hotels with better service. The nice thing about it is the architecture of the complex.

The Sofitel Agadir is a luxury hotel with all the trimmings. Breakfast....you could not ask for more variety with just about everything available. The grounds are mature and well maintained with lots of variety. There are several pools to choose from the largest being great for exercise swimming. There is a facility for lunch away from the main complex which has a beach view which is also very nice. The only downside is that there is a limited menu on offer. Prices for eating in are high as is the main bar, but the concierge service is available to assist you booking up any restaurant in Agadir. I love this place - really relaxing.

Once arriving at the hotel we were charged twice accidentally which is an understandable mistake! After that we were shown to the bar to wait for 1.5 hours before being attended to. While at the bar it took 45 minutes to receive any service or attention from any of the staff. Eventually we were escorted to our room. Once we entered the room we noticed the floors were still wet from the fresh mopping. We went outside onto the balcony and noticed bird poo & cigarette ash all over the terrace furniture. The headboard of the bed was covered in handprints and the mirror was smeared and marked. We sat in the room contemplating going down to make a complaint and to receive a refund, we decided against until we opened the bathroom door to lift the toilet seat which FELL OFF with little or no force applied, which really did not matter either as the bathroom lock also did not work at all. We approached front desk and management claimed that the double charge was actually a deposit of the full price of the room until further inspection. After the refund we were then asked to pay for a NEW deposit due to the cancellation of the double charge. We were offered no customer service what so ever. Housekeeping are currently upstairs fixing out toilet seat, locks & cleaning the room. Terrible service, terrible staff & horrendous treatment of people in a 5 star establishment.

Beautiful hotel as we always stay there whenever we visit agadir , however this time our experience me and my wife was horrible and for sure we will never be back nor recommending this hotel to any of our friends . The reception manager had no idea of what guest experience is nor what to do when you represent a 5* establishment, we were kept waiting at the reception for one hour that he come speak to us with attitude like if we are there to for free … As we forgot our marriage certificate we were not allowed to check in , the only thing we asked to check us in as we drove all the way from rabat while our lawyer was emailing our documents, but NO , we were given a lesson and kept in reception without anyone speaking to us not even a glass of water … The situation could have been handled if professionals knows what to do …anyways we received our certificate from finland and left the hotel making our way to beautiful fairmont hotel taghazout bay where we were shown a great hospitality services ..as we were leaving the sofitel MR manager yet have attitude like literally were told off of the hotel .. This is a true experience without any exaggeration and ready to speak to higher ACCOR management as it was a real disappointment. Anyways thank you for letting us go and experience other hotels and will never be back as well as our friends and family . Its all about aces in places and obviously there was no ace and place this time .

I stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. The receptionist at check in didn't tell me breakfast was more expensive if you pay as you go, so for the first day I ended up paying 265 MAD. Then I paid in advance, I mentioned this to another receptionist with long hair and she didn't offer to refund me the first days amount as this was a mistake on their part. Room smelled of smoke afew times, the receptionist with long hair said it might be coming from a room downstairs - no alternative was offered. The smell wasn't every night so I was OK with it. But I would prefer my room not smell of smoke at all. Otherwise they were helpful when I asked questions. Spa lady - Kind Housekeeping were great - room was kept clean & tidy Concerige - very helpful & nice Breakfast was lovely, and the staff were very kind apart from one day Dinner staff - I didn't have the dinner buffet as I decided to have dinner near the beach restaurant. The staff were not helpful when I asked about the menu for the buffet, instead I was standing and they let a French guest infront and made a comment about me to her in their own language. This was wrong, please do not talk about guests even if we don't understand the language - we understand enough. One of the lady managers for breakfast, and 2 other staff were starring at me while I was near the pancake area where the lady makes crepes. I looked up and they were starring, no need for this. I didn't complain as I didn't want anything to ruin my holiday. The male manager was very kind and helpful. On my last day, I was sleeping near the beach and one boy waiter kept saying I'm sleeping alot. He said sorry when he could see I was upset, but if someone is asleep - please leave them alone and stop making conversation around them!! Dinner near the beach restaurant - I highly recommend the food, it was good quality and the service was amazing from all waiters. There were 2 waiters each time I had dinner, so this meant slow service sometimes but they all did their best. Although there were small issues - I didn't let this ruin my stay as I had family in another hotel and my company uses Sofitel in Europe. Please be mindful that the French do not only stay at your hotel, I treated every staff I spoke to with respect and kindness so you really need to better as a hotel to treat other ethnicities better. I would recommend this hotel, it is beautiful, quiet, and very clean. Apart from the small issues raised, the service needs to be better but other then that it's worth it and Agadir is a great place to visit. UPDATED REVIEW, 2ND VISIT: My 2nd night was RUINED by families closing and shutting doors until 2am then from 2am to 7am a lady and man were playing "Games" all night. There was no card on the desk so didn't know which number was reception!!!! I was moved to a quiet room, but I lost one day's full sleep - the hotel are not giving me a partial refund so the £200 for the one night has been stolen by Sofitel. It was their guests at the end of the say and there was no card with info on calling reception. Dinner was ruined on my 2 night, the waiters are very nice and they are just 2 people on the shift meaning it's hard for the service to be good. It is unfair on them but also us!!! I waited for 40 minutes for Tiramisu, when it came it was just a weird chunk of cream with coco powder dusted in the top. I tried abit and it made me sick. Then I ordered chocolate fondant, after 25 mins I asked them to just give me the bill and forget dessert. Staff are nice but serving cream for a Tiramisu is unacceptable - especially for a 5 star. Sofitel and the French standard is Zero, not 5. The vegetables are frozen vegetables boiled and the fries are frozen packed chips. The Hilton in Taghazout serve everything completely fresh. Amin and the general manager refused to compensate my stay for 1 night, I did not sleep 1 minute all night ruined sleep!!!! So I've been robbed off 1 night

Very nice location, friendly staff, great food, a good place to disconnect and relax. What I liked the most is watching sun set on the beach or while enjoying a drink in the out side seating area. Price a little bit on the high side, rooms were clean, room furniture leaning toward being a bit old. The main Resturant in the hotel tops all Resturants I went to in my trip, GOOD MOROCCAN FOOD

Extremely beautiful location, by the beautiful Agadir bay. Very nice resort with grey and black as main colors and luxury and wellness being the overall theme. The rooms are pretty nice, quite spacious and have views on the common areas such as the pools and the beach, but also the wooden bar by the beach. The layout is spectacular. Needless to say, the food was fresh and delicious. The service was quite fast and the staff were always smiling and ready to help. A big thank you to the management and staff. I’d like to extend my gratitude to Asma from guest relations for ensuring our stay went wonderful, and thanks to her help and dedication it did.

The staff here don't know how to look after customers or complaints. Our first room had tiles falling off the wall, unfinished grout and a musky odor. Our second room was fine, however the design of the basic rooms leaves a lot to be desired. They haven't been updated since they first opened by the looks of it, sub par for a 5 star hotel. More verging on a rundown 3 star room. When I wasn't with my wife, she would be asked what her room number is, this happened on 3 occasions. The staff aren't proactive, you must always call them over or get up and walk to them to get attention for little things. They never replenished our water in the 4 nights we were there, each time having to talk to someone. Or calling concierge. We were told and checkin that our return transfer would be complimentary, it wasn't and I had to have that removed from my bill. We burned ourselves at breakfast due to the faulty bread toster, staff just watched as things happened, no one ever asked to help. You must be self sufficient in this hotel, unless your Arab or French. The hotel manager was informed of all of this at checkout. No remedy was taken, if anything condescending remarks on how I said it was "okay" in the morning the single time she asked if everything was fine. I should've refused to pay the bill. Terrible place. 1 star. Ruined the end of our holiday.

Stayed for 4 nights during a business tril. Got a serious food poisoning during first night from their buffet. Following days were disaster with poor room service. I had to call several times to get a simple plate of rice at room. They could not even link the bill to my room account and they were requesting me to pay with cash! There was no available thermometer to check on my fever. Also no paracetamol. I am booking a 5star so I can have all services when I need them and not for the nice pool that I can find anywhere. Ps1: no hairdryer in the room. Had to ask 3 times for it PS2: many mosquitoes in the room and even if I asked for a tablet few times I didn't get anything in the end. Update: I do not know what you mean but there was no refund

I have returned to the Sofitel Thalassa in Agadir following my previous trip in December with the football team. I have to say the hotel has even got better and the customer service and food I have experienced has reached another level than before if that’s at all possible. Jihane F&B Manager and Ghislaine, guest service manager could not be more kind and helpful and making the stay a super experience. I can’t recommend this hotel enough and of course the glorious weather goes without saying. This is a perfect winter break venue. There’s a new garden terrace about side Le Market dining room, which has added to the already wonderful gardens and relaxing areas. There’s more upgrade work in the plans but today I was shown examples Of the redecorated rooms, junior suites and suites and they are magnificent. The Sofitel is working hard to upgrade and improve all it has to offer. The wonderful and friendly staff make it a lovely and warm experience. This morning I had a super porridge for breakfast, something they have improved on greatly and this evening a super buffet dinner where o had fabulous soup and roast chicken dinner with a home comforts crumble for dessert. The food here is one of the highlights. Thank you Jihane, Ghislaine and all the team.

Beautiful hotel. The best in Agadir. Great hospitality and service from staff and management. Private access to beach and two amazing pools. Beach restaurant and spa is wonderful. Rooms and hotel are beautiful. Highly recommended

We stayed at the neighbouring Iberostar, but we chilled out, drank and ate in the beach bar / restaurant here at Sofitel. Such a cool vibe, frankly amazing beach chill out area and we really enjoyed the bar / restaurant, it was the highlight of our time in Agadir. Big regrets that we didn’t stay here, maybe next time.. Don’t be fooled by #1 reviewed hotels in Agadir, Sofitel is without doubt the top place, if you’re not counting the pennies. Prices are reasonable, certainly not expensive by uk standards. At least come and try the beach bar, you won’t be disappointed!

One of the best hotels for sure . The service was on point, the whole hotel was clean , lots of activities over there , swimming pole near the beach the views ... The hotel's amenities were top-notch, with a well-equipped fitness center and a luxurious spa that offered a range of rejuvenating treatments. Dining at the on-site restaurant was a culinary delight, with a diverse menu and impeccable service

A beach based hotel with all the luxury you can expect. Sun loungers and towels were clean, the cleaning staff were lovely and friendly, the decor and general the grounds were maintained to first class standard. The three pools were immaculate and inviting, one for children too which was a help. You can order food to the room, around the pool and breakfast was a full spread from fresh fish to a full English cooked breakfast . The food was lovely and fresh, with ample of variety . The room was a little on the small side, compact, but it was cosy. The bed and the bedding was super comfortable. Balcony was spacious with a built in couch/lounger and a table. The hotel is based on the Agadier coastline. The beach is super clean and the water is cool. Most scenic and the locals were a delight. Negatives: having read the reviews, I totally agree that there is preferential treatment given to the French speaker, the staff pander to their every need. I witnessed this multiple times at breakfast and dinner, whereby they’d be greeted and offered food first, drinks at their leisure before us. We would have to ask more than three times for a refreshment, but the French speakers were served and waited on. Disappointing level of prejudice. The manager of the restaurant outdoors was supporting this behaviour. I did have words with him. Accessibility to wheel chair and push chair users, nil for the outside access to the beach, you have to bypass at least 20 steep steps each way. What about those with children and wheel chair users? This isn’t impressive. However, there are lifts internally with access to each floor. Staffing around the pool: there was one male in particular that spoke and treated the female disrespectfully. I witnessed him shoving and antagonising her each time we were lounging around the pool, this is unacceptable. I found it hard to use the area anywhere near this brute. On a whole a lovely hotel, but a few things need to be revised for me to recommend it to my friends and family or to revisit

Let's see... Anything good to say? There's a nice pool and the lobby looks nice. Location not bad, but ......! I have traveled and stayed with the best of the brands in my past, I am sharinng my experience here to talk about what's called Luxury hotel ( sofitel thalassa agadir) , I must say that my experience here at sofitel agadir thalassa sea & spa wasn't that great, not because of The hotel it self, but with the staff who's running the front desk ( Mrs fatima ), They fail so bad on handling a Small problem regarding my booking and If it's included breakfast or no ,Small essu like this can be handled easily and satisfy me as customer , now they make me think twice before I plan to book at this location for the next time, wish won't be happening unfortunately. My rate on scale 1 to 10 for the staff on handling this situation ( 1 ) , front desk manager involvement was poor . Sorry Mr Amin ( front desk manager). Not coming back 👎

The hotel was beautiful and very memorable. In particular, Halima and Khadija working at the Sofitel Thalassa Spa Agadir offered amazing service and were always polite. Both staff members were exceptionally friendly and made the stay here even more enjoyable. I admired they’re hard work and welcoming demeanour. Thank you for the lovely service 😊

Beautiful hotel on the beach with friendly staff. We had a nice room and the amenities are wonderful as you would expect from a Sofitel. Limited dining choices on-site but the concierge are knowledgeable and happy to make food recommendations nearby such as Riad Villa Blanche. Special thanks to Ibtissam in guest relations who went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. Thank you!

NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL. Rooms were not 5 stars, found spider webs on the ceiling and mirrors were coming off wall. Service was disastrous. Before arriving to hotel I asked for transportation, I received an email asking me to contact an independent taxi. The taxi then told me to hail someone in the street. What the heck? This is supposed to be 5 stars. I was left to hail a random taxi off the street from airport to get to hotel. I complained to the hotel and they promised they would do something for us. Didn’t do anything. Even on the last day they said they would compensate us then ghosted. They even made me send them an email and they never responded. NOT 5 STARS.

One positive thing I would like to start my review with is how attentive and friendly is the staff towards the guests. They have been pleasent and helpful. The property itself is very beautiful and only few minutes from the beach. The rooms are clean and spacious, the restaurants and bars are excellent and the food is super tasty.

An authentic experience, the building has a wonderful sober design, rich in traditional Moroccan furniture and decorations. The rooms are nice and have beautiful views, the lobby area is so luxurious and so are the restaurants and the bars. The food is great, especially the breakfast buffet and the Plage restaurant. Finally a warm thank you to the marvellous staff for their dedication and kindness. Asma from Public relations was helpful and super kind.

Excellent and warm welcome, friendly staff at front desk and around common areas. The suite I was offered was marvelous, very spacious and the view is genuinely spectacular. The food and drinks are the best part about my trip as it felt like having multiple chefs from around the world. Finally I’d like to extend my sincere gratitude to Assma Arzaz for her help and friendliness.

Wonderful experience from check in to departure. We have made our booking directly upon arriving to the hotel, we have been assigned a nice junior suite for our one night stay. The suite was very spaceous and had a beautiful view, we were happy about our luxurious equipements, especially the big bath tub and the Nespresso machine. The food was extraordinary, nice buffets and drinks. Needless to say, our night has been remarkable. Also the staff had been accomodating and most kind.

I booked Sofitel as a birthday surprise for my partner. That was the best session I have made that year. The hotel is stunning. Direct access to the beach, dining on the beach sitting in cosy booth, awesome swimming pools, they even have mini one (shallow one) for toddlers which is super cute. On top of that beautiful art is hanging around the hallway, stuff is very friendly and extremely helpful. On the day of arrival we found our room decorated in birthday theme. After delicious dinner my partner got complimentary birthday cake which was extremely cute 🥰 Thank you for warming welcoming and looking after us throughout our stay. We are really grateful. We can not wait to see you again guys

Attentive, friendly and helpful staff. Ibrahim and his team offer the widest variety and quality of breakfast I have had in many years, shame their lunch and dinner offerings do not match this standard. Housekeeping was lovely, especially Laila who was super helpful. Great linens and confortable bed, cleanliness also of a high standard with regular changes of towels and supplies.Great pools and location.

I rate this hotel ‘good’ technically I’d give it 3.5 stars but that’s not an option. What I’d rate 5 starts is the pool areas, they’re immaculate and and the whole exterior is of a high standard, very impressive. The room (we were 264) I’d rate a 3. Firstly the bed is NOT comfortable, they place a duvet under the bottom sheet which is just odd and makes sleeping awkward. Also, we had two power cuts and also one overflowing shower basin. Look, these things happen but nobody apologised. Towards the end of our 7 day stay, the air con gave off an unpleasant smell. Like damp. They also didn’t restock tea bags until the final day and there is no milk that is suitable for a tea, just a coffee cream. I’d say the room was acceptable, if not slightly dated and indeed of a proper refresh. The food. Breakfast was nice, as was lunch, although dinner became boring very quickly, some nights the meats were nice, others they were dry (this was in the market place) - their A La carte, was average at best, they had the same menu for a week, so we only went once, however the decor in there is nice. Service: this is a hard once to rate, but overall, it was quite poor, occasionally it was good, but never 5 star. Inconsistent is a good way to describe it, often left waiting and wanting. I put this down to new staff after lockdown, but still, it should have been better. Service was mainly disappointing. Language. Please note if you only speak English you may struggle at times as this is a French speaking hotel, some staff have average English some not at all. Despite my average review and disappointments, I would still return to this hotel as the pool area and grounds are so nice, I’d just go again with a lower expectation on service.

Location on the beach is excellent as are the restaurants both inside and outside by the beatiful pool deck area. Speaking of restaurants, Katia was ever so helpful and friendly, speaking other languages apart from English. Breakfast buffet was of a 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ standard as was the restaurant food. The cocktails in the bar area might however need more alcohol content in them. Definitly a Hotel to return to.

From the first day , it felt like I was in the Maldives, the weather wasn't stable, but that wasn't a problem at all, a warm pool and a cold one, nice customer services, and friendly manager. I don't remember all of the waiters names, I remember oumaima from the breakfast buffet, and yassine from the pool, there were other nice guys sadly I didn't get their names. Over all, we went for 2 days, stayed for over a week, and it was worth it. Thanks to the chefs, the managers, the workers , the guards , the reception, and all of sofitel for the nice memories I made in there :) <3
