This
hotel
could
be
very
good,
but
unfortunately
it
is
not
due
to
what
appears
to
be
poor
management.
The
good:
it
has
excellent
facilities
-
the
pool
is
nice,
the
building
is
nice,
it
has
great
views
from
some
of
the
rooms
and
is
positioned
well
within
Agadir.
It
was
generally
quite
clean.
The
bad:
The
rooms
don't
meaningfully
lock
from
the
inside.
Although
there
is
a
deadbolt-style
thing
that
stops
the
door
being
"bumped"
without
a
key,
this
does
not
prevent
hotel
staff
coming
into
your
room
with
keys.
There
is
also
no
chain
on
the
door.
This
is
a
problem,
since
they
visit
several
times
a
day
for
cleaning,
towel
replacement
and
to
issue
more
bottled
water,
and
sometimes
do
not
knock.
Rooms
are
also
not
given
"do
not
disturb"
signs,
which
is
very
frustrating,
and
leads
to
guests'
privacy
being
invaded.
We
saw
two
cockroaches
during
our
stay,
one
on
the
floor
of
the
lobby,
the
other
on
the
floor
of
our
bathroom.
The
food
in
the
buffet
is
overpriced
and
low
quality.
While
the
hotel
boasts
its
"three
restaurants"
(the
buffet,
the
italian,
the
moroccan),
the
itailian
&
moroccan
restaurants
require
booking
*and
menu
selection*
the
day
before.
The
restaurants
therefore
offer
the
illusion
of
choice
upon
booking,
but
realistically
offer
little
in
the
way
of
flexibility
and
variety.
Because
of
their
restrictive
booking
requirements,
they
are
often
empty
-
this
is
frustrating
when
it's
raining
outside
and
you
can't
eat
at
your
own
hotel's
empty
restaurants!
The
breakfast
situation
is
adequate
-
the
quality
of
the
coffee
coming
from
the
machines
is
abysmal
though.
Finally,
the
reception
staff
are
running
a
racket
with
the
local
taxi
drivers.
If
you
ask
them
what
is
a
reasonable
price
to
pay
for
a
journey
to
Crocopark
or
the
airport,
they
will
give
you
an
inflated
value,
which
they
will
tell
you
is
a
"fixed
price".
It
is
then
possible
to
negotiate
a
bit
with
them
(revealing
that
it
is
not
a
fixed
price).
But
what
you
should
actually
do
is
just
walk
outside
to
the
same
taxis
that
they
would
call
for
you,
and
haggle
with
them
directly.
This
will
result
in
a
discount.
It's
unprofessional
for
reception
staff
to
rip
you
off
like
this
-
they're
in
a
position
of
trust,
and
should
give
honest
advice
to
hotel
guests.
