Ancient temple of Lord Shivji, peaceful and energetic vibes here. Market is busy with narrow lanes. If going by 4 wheeler, park at agra fort station and just 4-5 min walk from there. Jai bholenath..

The Shivlinga inside the temple is considered, was established in dwapara yuga. It is said that when lord Shiva was travelling towards mathura getting the glimpse of Shri Krishna on his birth he took rest at this place and took a pledge 'if he could able to make Krishna play in his lap then he will establish a shivlinga at the same place', His wish fulfilled in this way this shivalinga named mankameshwar was established by lord Shiva by itself, while returning from Vrindaban. And said 'whoever will come to this place faithfully his/her wish come true as mine'. One must be put on traditional indian dhoti to enter in main sanctum around Shivling compulsory for man and woman both but can worship from outside without dhoti.

Jai Mankameshwar Mandir 🙏🏼 Har Har Mahadev 🙏🏼🖤 This Mankameshwar Temple is one of the popular and ancient temples in agra located at Rawatpara, behind Agra Fort Railway Station... Lots of devotees come here to worship lord shiva. While entering the temple, the first thing you will see is Shivalinga and After going further, you will see more statues of Gods. The temple is very nice and the taste of the prasad is also very good, I like the prasad very much. 😍❤️ Overall my experience was very nice..❤️ Follow me to get well updates about places. 🤗

One of the oldest and ancient temple of Agra city. One should experience evening Arti at-least for once. You can offer prasad ( mostly milk cake which can be bought from local shops nearby) Cleanliness should be improved nearby temple and 2 wheeler should be banned entering this street where temple is located.

Best shiv pooja. Do attain aarti as it can give u peace. Most of the people believe that their wishes gets fulfilled by visiting there and lightening a deepak to grant them blessing from Lord Shiva.

I would like to say to all the Sanatani brothers and sisters that these temples are very good but do not have that much name. So henceforth, whenever you go to Agra, this temple is barely 1.5 kilometers away from Agra Fort Junction. Before visiting Taj Mahal, definitely visit this temple once.

Shri Mankameshwar is Devoted To Bhagwan Shiv. The Temple Is Situated Near Agra Fort Railway Station In The State Of Uttar Pradesh. It Is A Widely Known Belief That The Shivlinga Covered Now, By The Silver Metal Was Founded By Bhagwan Shiv Himself During Dwapara Era, Where Bhagwan Krishna Was Born In Mathura. For Child Krishna's Darshan, Bhagwan Shiv Arrived From Mount Kailash And Rested Here Which Was A Shamshaan (cremation Ground) Then. Bhagwan Shiva Meditated And Stayed Here Overnight And Wished That If He Would Be Able To Make Little Krishna Play On His Lap, He Would Establish A Linga Here. Next Day, After Seeing Bhagwan Shiv's Swaroop, Mother Yashoda Asked Him Not To Come Near The Child As Krishna Might Get Scared Of Him. Seeing This, Krishna Did A Leela (drama). He Started Crying While Pointing Towards Bhagwan Shiv, Who Was Sitting Under A Banyan Tree In Samadhi Position. As She Had No Other Option, Mother Yashoda Called Bhagwan Shiv And Asked Him To Give His Blessings To Her Child (krishna). While Returning From Gokul, Shiv Laid His Linga (swaroop) Here. Then, He Blessed (granted A Boon) That As His Wishes Were Fulfilled Here Whosoever, In Future, Comes Here With His Manokaamna (wishes), His Lingaswaroop Will Fulfill His Or Her Manokaamna (wishes) Too. From Then Onwards, This Lingaswaroop Is Known As Shri Mankameshwarnath Ji As It Fulfills Desires Of All Devotees, Who Visit The Temple.

Despite being thousands of years old, the temple remains relatively unknown outside of Agra, making it a hidden gem waiting to be discovered by those seeking an authentic and meaningful experience. The temple is said to be the place where Lord Shiva himself resides, making it a highly revered place of worship for Hindus.

Mankameshwar Temple in Agra is one of the ancient temples devoted to Lord Shiva. The temple is situated at Rawatpara in Agra. It is said that the Shiva Linga in the temple is covered by silver and was founded by Shiva himself in the Dvapara Yuga, when Krishna was born in Mathura. The temple has one sanctum sanctorum with a Vigraha of Lord Shiva . It is surrounded by the typical Shiva family idols. One has to descend down a score of stairs to reach the sanctum sanctorum. One can reach fully close to the Vigraha provided one does not wear leather items and English style pants, pyjamas, and salwaar suits. Behind the sanctum sanctorum are several small temples within the main temple complex. These are devoted to various deities like Goddess Ganga, Saraswati, Gayatri, Hanuman, Kaila devi, Narasimha, Krishna, Rama. Har har mahadev.

Excellent mandir. A very good looking Lord Shiv ling is there. Near by shops for Prasad, flowers, diya batti are available. It's very huge enough from inside. almost each Idol of all Lords are beatiful and located there for worship. Ambience is too good. The row in front of Shivling must be more wide to manage crowd. The most important is the Shiv ling as it is most beautiful designed and made up of silver.

The Mankameshwar Temple is the best for the Hindu pilgrims, the best way for the worship of the Lord Shiva Shankar family & Srinath Ji, Hanuman Ji Maharaj, Ram Darbar & other Dev vigrah is saturated in the Shree Mankameshwar Mahadev temple.

is a very peaceful place in this world, there is a lot of comfort by going, there is a lot of peace by going. There is a beautiful statue of Lord Bholenath ji and there are many other idols of Lord Ji, like Banke Bihari ji, there is Ram Darbar too, there are many idols of different types of Hanuman ji. And the Prasad here is very tasty, pure Prasad is not available anywhere in the universe, very tasty Prasad is available here for those who get it. I would like to say this to everyone, please come here once and see Bholenath Ji. There are many types of markets nearby, there is Lohar Gali, there is a huge party, there is market, there are a lot of wholesale items here, we also find many cheap items, we have also come to the main market, we can visit it by vehicle. By purchasing the same you will see the difference in price. Every family should worship Bholenath in every form here and after seeing his darshan, show it to others and enjoy the very beautiful image of his idol.🙏🙏🙏🙏

Peaceful place! One of the oldest Shivji Temple in Agra. If you are visiting Agra, then this temple should be in your Bucket list. You may find some difficulty in finding parking place for your two wheeler. Better, do not take your 4 wheeler there.

Very old and renowned temple of Shivjee. But don't go by your own 4 wheeler because there is no car park anywhere nearby (or atleast none that I being a non resident of Agra knew of or could find).
