Nice place for history lovers. I recommend parking the car at gate V., take a taxi for 3 € per person to get to the beginning and go only one way to the parked car. save at least an hour.

One of the most spectacular places on Sicily - it's worth every minute you spend there. Entering the area from the Eastern gate gives you an opportunity to walk through the entire place at your own pace passing by miraculous buildings of ancient Roman Empire. It's relatively well preserved with a couple of interesting exhibits like the ones attached as pictures.

Very much worth seeing if ancient history excites you. You will walk among the ruins of a 2,500 year old Greek colony, the temples being the best preserved and restored. The temple walk isn’t long, maybe 3 miles round trip. Bring sunscreen, as there is very little shade along the way. I parked by the Porta V (Google “Parcheggio Porta V Valle dei Templi), which provided easy access. Pay for parking on the way out. Leave your ticket in the machine, then pay, then retrieve your ticket for an easy exit! I ate at the cafe within the park. I enjoyed due arancini and a small bottle of white wine.

This historical place is a big leap into our history and also to the start of the civilisation as we western people know it. With all the well known gods who brought us there stories which all most looks like a soap opera. Because of the intrigues, plots and murders. In the indoor museum you can see all the items and artefacts they found from millennia ago and especially the adoration of mother nature, Odin, she gave and gives us everything , day in and day out.

The temple tour is around 4km. You can walk or pay 3 Euro for the shuttle bus. In the morning to visit is better.

A beautiful place full of history. Please avoid the noon heat.

Everything we expected, parking was easy and reasonable in price. Would add photos but they aren't any better than what is already posted. If you like history this is one not to miss.
