Amazing interior design feels like a home. Very friendly staff member specially Eyerus . Yummy breakfast. Only the location is little bit crowded area. However, the hotel is better than most 4* want to be hotels in Bole area, e.g the Sapphire Hotel need to learn a lot from Nega Bonger hotel.

The hotel is located at a very crowded area. The pool area out door place is a nice spot to hang out. The musics are also entertaining but, I also heared a music with the "F" word. The special pizza has no cheese 😏, imagine how the other pizzas would be. The "old supervisor guy" we have asked has no clue about how a special pizza should be. The service was very poor; the waiter was very slow and was really hard to find him both for order, to clean the table and to get the bill. I have seen that other guests were also facing the same issue. The hotel has to work a lot on improving the service.

I recently had lunch at Saris Nega Bonger Hotel and was impressed by the hotel’s beautiful outdoor greenery. It was a great place to relax, chat, or concentrate. The chicken breast was very good, but the veg and rice side had room for improvement. The service was very good, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Saris Nega Bonger Hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in Addis Ababa. I hope this helps!

Best price for the value. Great service, nice rooms. Front desk and the rest of the stuff people were great. We stayed about 10 days with family and enjoyed it! The One thing to improve is the way how the restaurant serves customers when busy.

This place gives you out of city feeling while youre in the middle if the city. The staff needs clearly a better training. And digital payment is far away. I had to walk to reception with the waitress to pay my bill.

Oct 8 In the end, the weekend was salvaged. The managers were great. They came to the room and listened. When the second cleaning attempt failed, they gave me another room. The restaurant has great food and a variety of options. The spinach-ricotta ravioli with meat sauce was well done. Breakfast buffets are also well done. Oct 6 Nega Bonger was one of my favorite hideaways. In the past, the rooms had always been clean. Today, I'm disappointed! The night manager quickly ushered in a beleaguered cleaning lady to do emergency cleaning... The room is filthy!!! The floor has bits of kolo, hair, and tissue paper mear the door. The bathroom has a dull sheen, stains on the sink, and balled up hairs in the shower stall. The bed sits crooked in the center, and the once "white" comforter was worn, frayed, and had a very soiled look!! I didn't dare look under the bed!! The closet and side tables have a solid layer of dust, which is at least weeks and weeks old! The walls, which once had a shiny spark, are now dull with age, stained all around, are smudged with finger smears of ... I don't know what!!! The carpet is musty! It has whitish stains in a few places and has a muted dusty smell that even the heavily scented carpet deodorizer couldn't overcome. The curtains are beyond filthy! They have deep stains from floor to ceiling, are dull with age and misuse ... and someone may have wiped their nose with the curtains!! The once pristine balcony is dusty from misuse, and the poor, poor potted tree plant is half dead, its pot cracked, and the soil dry. Such sad neglect!! What happened to my once favorite hotel hideaway??

This hotel has a jazz dinner every Friday at 7:00pm local time. The garden is along with the swimming pool and it's so peaceful. Now the place has started skating.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Very friendly staff. Beautiful artistic design of the rooms. Spa, sauna, gym and massage. Beautiful pool. Would have given if 5 stars if the menu was more international and communication in English was easier. And the WiFi is free but poor.

I live in Addis & wanted to experience the hotel as advertised - a city getaway & stayed there for 1 night on October 13. The experience we had was awful on all regards. First,we were not given receipts for accommodation fee,the electronic door card was not working & we had to wait for 10 minutes before a casual staff who tried & got us a key. we had to talk for 5 different staff to get 2 bottled water & wait for 30 minutes or so on top of being charged extra room service fee . The breakfast we ordered was very cold & poorly prepared (the Sunnyside -up - omelette was cold & no trace of Sunnyside). On checking out,we were made to wait for 15 minutes before the front desk prepares the accommodation bill for the money we paid the previous day & before they finally manage to locate the exorbitant room service bill. What strikes me most was the same reluctance we daily experience in any ordinary hotel or shop regarding avoidance to issue a receipt by the front desk staff. There was no manager around to hear our complaint though we have asked a couple of times for his/her cell number except being told who ever runs the establishment, they run it from the US.

I highly recommend NB hotel to pretty much anyone: foreigners, locals, singles, couples, family with kids, gym-sauna-swiming-skate loving ppl). I stayed there for over 3 weeks and I actually miss everything about that place: service, team friendliness, free delicious breakfast, open cafeteria at the backyard to relax, read or work on your laptop with a fast wifi while enjoying the greenness and the swimming pool in your sight. Regarding the hotel rooms, NB hotel is one of the neatest hotel I have ever seen in Addis. You won't find a spot on the (white) covers, sheets and towels. They smell good too; that was very important to me. Also, you could only notice and appreciate the effort made to customize Ethiopian elements on parts of the bed, ceiling, wall paintings, hangers, etc. The neighbourhood looks a bit chaotic with street markets and no one could expect a calm, relaxing, safe and beautiful place right at the corner. I say, go visit the place first and decide for yourself. I heard tourists go for hotels near the airport (aka Bole area) when I asked why the hotel was a bit underrated. The fact is: the hotel is not at all far from there -- it also offers a free shuttle from/to the airport upon arrival and departure. During my stay, I usually used RIDE or Feres (Amharic word for horse), the currently popular Uber-like safe transport services to go around anywhere in the city.

Nega Bonger is up and running. My family's favorite getaway, in the middle of Addis.

The suite is very beautiful and relatively cheaper than other 4 star hotels. But some of the amenities inside the room like the hot water and the Jacuzzi are not functional. Most of the front desk employees at this property are not collaborative and they have attitude if you ask them to fix what's not functional. But the staffs at the restaurant are nice and caring. Overall will not stay here in the future!!!

Starting From the security guards to the reception, waitresses, cleaners everyone is professional here. So far we are happy. If it sustains the service quality I will not consider any other place than NEBO(ነቦ). But anyone who is in charge of supervision or management of any department (like in the restaurant) should have to be welcoming to the guests. Like greeting and asking how the guest is doing can be done easily to have more customers. January 9/2024 This morning and a couple of days earlier, a group of young men I think members of a sports club made noise in the morning. Talking loudly which is not appropriate around our rooms at that time. This needs to improve.

Feels very old and looks like it has been abandoned for a while. If you are into retro themed hotels, this might be it for you. Note: the retro feel is not intentional

It is an old name hotel, with a high class feel, and a new building. It is one of the best places to go roller skating in Addis Ababa.

Rooms are very good with Jacusin & separat Toilet Room, connected Rooms are very nice for parents with children. It has a Beautiful Swimmingpool with a beutifull Garden Spa & fitness studio. The price is very reasonable. Friendlly stuff, The Hotel need some renovation & follow-up but still Beautiful. Very friendlly management paymen should be done every day or non refunded pre payment, if you stay more than 10 days, you can get 5% of discount.

Meticulously designed rooms with the touch of Ethiopian culture taste. The price is very reasonable and with the free spa services and breakfast provided and with little birr added you can get massage too. Yes it is a city retreat center. I appreciated the fairness bestowed in the delivery of their service. It is a quality place. I really love it. It is a gem in the southern Addis.

I took my kids for a swim and the pool was not only dirty but also very cold. They were shivering when they got out. They said they will never back to that place again.

I loved staying this stylish hotel. The interior design is modern yet traditional and gives an idea of Ethiopian Culture. My room was generously spacious & clean. Probably one of the best places to stay in Addis and compared to what other hotels are offering, it offers quite a competitive price for the rooms and their for very good value for your money. I highly recommend this hotel for everyone that believes in quality.

Had a wonderful experience here. Very friendly and professional staff. The decor of the hotel is great. The rooms beautifully designed and comfortable. Swimming pool and sunna services. The only drawback is the poor wireless service especially in the rooms. Just a few routers in strategic locations in the hotel should sort that out!
