Quarantined in Iberostar Parque Central during September 2021. Horrible food. Friendly staff, clean spacious rooms. But terrible food - just down right awful! Note: they don’t take Cuban currency and in USD/Euro the prices are a rip off.

Not a great experience at this hotel, We went in for dinner and the menus are only served through Wi-Fi and the server is very rude from the start. Next time we come to Havana We will definitely not be staying at this hotel. Too many other places in the area that are good.

The atmosphere of this Hotel is surreal. When you enter the lobby, you are greeted with the wonderful sounds of a piano! The hotel room was very nice, and since the middle of the hotel is hollow, every room has a window! The hotel is close to everything, so you can experience everything you need in Havana within a walking distance! I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is not a 5* by European standards. Staff were in the most part nice providing you tip them, room in the new part of the hotel felt dated with no in room amenities like tea and coffee making or bottled water. Bar area and lobby nice for a drink and food ok, but food at breakfast buffet and in the restaurant very poor. Constant hassle evey time we walked out front of hotel, guys trying to sell you taxi rides etc. One member of hotel staff who came to fix my in room safe would simply not leave me alone, trying yo sell open top car rides, exchange money, sell Rum, cigars etc. Very annoying.

(Translated by Google) The hotel consists of two buildings. A very beautiful old one (well restored), and a good modern building (a bit dark). Nice view from the terrace (to the center of Havana). Bar and pool on the terrace. Friendly staff (not the best). Acceptable breakfast, little variety. Very good quality live music in the hall next to the bar on the first floor. There is a money exchange house in the hotel (same prices as in the foreign exchange houses). Basic spirits and beers.

December 2 profit before customers.was only here for 2days before varadero.booked this hotel for location and the rooftop pool. Went up to use the pool and was told it was closed for a private function. Spoke to the manager who said they had another roof top pool that was better.lies it overlooked filth and squalor. When you book a hotel you expect to be able to use the facility they advertise. Not here if someone comes along with money they happy to take it and sod the customers who have paid. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Might be in a great location but not if they sell you out

Stayed 6 nights in this fantastic location in Havana steps to the key sites. Front desk was very helpful. Thank you to concierge Julio and Eddy for organizing excursions and recommending restaurants. Very professional and friendly. In fact all staff were very accommodating. Would absolutely recommend. Roof top pool was a great place to hang out and food service was available there as well.

We recently spent 3 nights at the Iberostar Parque Central. The location is excellent, the pools are lovely, the service attentive, and everything clean and tidy. The pool in the "modern" building was like paradise, and such a welcome treat after a hot day of walking the old city. The 360 degree view from the roof is breathtaking. The pools in the colonial and the modern buildings are both worth checking out, but we just loved the modern side.

Very nice hotel and decent location, just on the edge of old Havana. Staff were excellent and very helpful and courteous. Breakfast there was most pleasant. Rooftop views were quite spectacular. Rooms were decent by Cuban standards. Would consider staying there again. It wasn't perfect but you wouldn't find much better.

(Translated by Google) Very good location, mostly friendly staff, old but clean rooms. Good breakfast, no body lotion in the bathroom. WiFi practically unusable. The bulky code is only valid for a few hours and must be re-typed each time the device is in standby for only a short time. Total nonsense. Missing wifi is a show stopper for me. Working WiFi should be a matter of course in 2020. 3.5 European stars.

When I saw pictures of the atrium I New I had to say here. I was not disappointed. The food was good and the choices of where to eat were great. This served as my base for the week. Plenty happening around the outside of the hotel and easy access both walking and by many forms of transportation from the front door. The view from the pool on top provided for wonderful picture day and night.

Excellent service! Super friendly staff! Breakfast buffet was good although you're better off ordering cafe forte (Americano) rather than the regular coffee they serve. Rooftop pools/bars are excellent in both the colonial and modern sides. Rooms are clean and very comfortable! You can smoke pretty well anywhere, in the lounge and pool areas.

Really nice hotel in the middle of the Colonial old town. Easy walking access to anything you could want to see and do within reason, taxis are plentiful as well.

Five hours free wifi in your stay. So if you stay in 3 nights, you can separate the order. That’s you can get 15 hours in stead of 5 hours. I live in old and new one, I like the old building than new one, the room is bigger and the facility is more than the new one. This is a wonderful stay!

(Translated by Google) I used the room of Colonial. A traditional luxury hotel backed by history. The location is located in the old Havana city center, as the name of the hotel suggests, in the center of the city in front of "Parque Central", which is convenient for all. The staff are smart and sophisticated, and the hotel has a relaxing tropical time away from the hustle and bustle of the outside. And like Cuban, live music is always played in the lobby, and it is an irresistible and elegant time to enjoy Latin music while smoking cigars. The rooms overlook the Old Havana, a World Heritage Site. The on-site restaurant also serves refined and delicious food that will make you forget you are in Cuba. And if you're lucky at dinner, you can enjoy live music by members of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra.

The worst 5star hotel I've ever stayed at. The service was a joke. I've stayed at 5 star hotels in poorer countries and they were all fabulous. At this hotel, I asked concierge 3 days in a row to fix my shower which had no pressure. They said they'd report it, nothing. I asked for bottles of water 3 for days, they came on my last day. The service at the restaurant and bar were pathetic. They don't even look at you in the eye when serving you, especially if you don't speak Spanish. That's unacceptable!!! I asked for a menu, waiter passed by and said one word: "online" and walked away. I had to beg to get a menu. And don't get me started on the food. There is 0 love put in the food and hardly any variety. Just terrible. When in Havana, get a luxury AirBnB instead! Trust me. Guys are standing outside this hotel ready to rip you off. The hotel allows it too. Staff has no pride working here - you can see it in their eyes.

Good hotel, but on our arrival it was out of wifi and they provide us 5 hours of wifi cards. For 5 stars hotels it need to be flat. Breakfast is 20€ per person it is not worth of it. All in all good but not enough for 5 stars hotel.

  • 1/5 David C. 5 months ago on Google
Odd behavior by the ground floor staff. Wanted ID to eat at their restaurant. The bald tanned guy working at the front desk was extremely rude and dismissive. He told us the restaurant was closed. When I pressed him why it was closed on Saturday evening he changed the story to it was full and not taking reservations. I asked to see the roof top restaurant so I could make a reservation for tomorrow. He begrudgingly allowed it because there was a long line building behind me. I went up to the restaurant and it was half empty. It's disgusting how rude and racist Havana has become after the pandemic. I recommend people take their hard earned money and vacation time elsewhere that's more progressive and liberal.

Great location and the view from the swimming pool was amazing. Breakfast was pretty good with a great variety. Our room was spacious and clear. The staff was polite and helpful. It gets a bit noisy at night form the street but I could cope with it. I would strongly recommend it.

Important to know that this is by no means a “5 star hotel.” There is no minibar, just a mini fridge which is completely empty, not even bottled water. No coffee machine, no room service, not even a hotel directory? There are no DND cards and the room safe is clearly broken, most of the buttons don’t even work. The room is extremely bare bones, but it is clean and functional. The hotel itself is nice and the people are friendly and helpful, and while the location is good for nearby things it is difficult to walk around outside as people will follow you around and try to get money from you. As soon as you walk outside the hotel, somebody will latch onto you like a barnacle, often pretending they work at the hotel and just got off shift. They will follow you around and try to get you to go to some specific places, before eventually asking you for money. I was here for less than an hour and had four different dudes stalking me and harassing me as soon as I stepped foot outside the hotel. They will not leave you alone. One person followed me for over half an hour and while they are not dangerous or intimidating it is fairly annoying. I suppose you have to lower expectations if you are used to hotels in other countries but five stars does not equal five stars. This hotel is perfectly nice but is a 3 star hotel by North American standards and if you are expecting any amenities at all you will be disappointed.

My first time back to Cuba after 60.5 years. This hotel and all its employees deserve 5 stars. Without any doubt, that have travelled the world would highly recommend to stay in this hotel. Location is amazing, ye service from the moment you walk in the door is personal and accommodating. If I should come back, this is my first choice to stay. Oh yes! Don’t worry the food is also good . If you need anything, but anything speak to Gricel Sanchez, in customer service, she has all the answers and then some.

Close to everything. Reasonable price considering its proximity to Old Havana. Typical Cuba though in as staff are trained to say yes when they mean perhaps. You have to sit by the pool (old part of the hotel and way better than the modern hotel) at night. You get a view of the Congress along with flamenco music and dancers.

The Iberostar Parque Central hotel is ideally located for visiting Habana, in Old Habana itself. You can walk anywhere from the hotel. The lobby has a special warmth, the music seduces you, its atmosphere invites you to stay for hours listening to live music. The employees are very nice for the most part and make you feel wanted, like at home. I love Cuba and the Cubans and the affection of the employees of this hotel is uncroyable! Congratulations Iberostar Parque Central, my second home from now on!!!

Excellent service, the staff were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and always ahead of our needs. Breakfast was unbelievable, so many choices, so much food!! The staff in all areas of the hotel were top choice, they took the time to meet us and got to know it's by first name. The rooftop pool and patio made the experience of being in central Havana one that I'll have to go back and stay there again and again. Many thanks to everyone at the hotel, your really hit a homerun with your service!

Nice well maintained hotel. Of course it's outdated, but it's clean and in a good location, right across from the capitol and in a good location. Food is okay - don't go to Cuba expecting a French cuisine experience.

Upon arrival I was greeted at the front desk by friendly staff. My room was not ready so I handed over my passport for check-in later and headed to the roof top for a drink and a quick bite which was surprisingly cheap. When I got in my room the first thing I noticed were the outlets. There were two outlets that accepted American plugs (one near the bed and one in the bathroom). The hotel was extremely clean and they provide bottle water daily. I left luggage at the first desk twice during my stay and it was safe. The food at the hotel is very bland. Glad I packed seasoning and sauces packets.

I've stayed at the parca central hotel Havana on 3 occasions. In September 22 we booked this hotel as a base for 2 weeks. The room on arrival was not cleaned properly fridge mouldy, bath and shower appeared used and not cleaned, an oversight on the hotel. The reception was excellent and we moved to another room, no problem. The Hotel maids are all hardworking and need to be appraised by the management. We stayed in room 215 on the 2nd floor. I'd particularly like to ask the manager to dearly thank our Maid called Yaima who went over and above her duty to accommodate us we were so grateful. I'd likely in the future only book bed and breakfast as we had halfboard and felt the service was slow and only offered us a limited menu at lunch or supper. This was discussed with the hotel public relations officer. We think that the front entrance needs to be addressed by bounderiers put in place as once immediately outside the hotel you are bombarded by an influx of people offering all kinds of services, often not wanted. The roof top pool area is excellent a place where you can relax in peace and privacy, it was ashame that the spa was not available on this visit, but I made up for this by spending 3 days having a massage on the beach. This said we do love this hotel hence staying there on 3 occasion and the level of security officers gave us more reassurance to stay here. We look forward to our next stay Mr Paul Mata Mr John Lamont

Doesn't meet 5 star by European hotel standards. Expected a different experience in Cuba, however represented poor value for money. Stayed in room in 'newer' part of hotel (not made clear when booking online), which was accessed via a tunnel (two sets of stairs as lift not working, or via the road). Room was tired and outdated, and sometimes cleanliness was subpar. Stained moth ridden hotel carpets, strong musty smell in the room, old stained towels, no kettle/coffee making facilities in room, no signal on TV. Best features: location, rooftop pool with great views, reliable free WiFi.

  • 5/5 Derek H. 1 year ago on Google
Yes, the hotel is showing it's age a bit. But the location can't be beat and the service is excellent. And after a long day of sightseeing, the rooftop pool is a perfect oasis. Can't imagine a better hotel for visiting Havana.

Iv stayed here twice. It's a great location, and the pool is great It is very good by Cuban standards The taxis outside will rob you, but it's a 3 min walk to the old town. You are looking at the capital building, and it's a reliable hotel brand

Very important not the have a room in the ‘new side of the hotel’ in general in Cuba all the hotels are very old. Location is great and service good. Overall Cuba is very nice but very expensive. For rice and chicken you can pay up to 20USD per plate!

This is the only hotel I stayed at on Cuba so no comparison possible to other locations. However, the place is a bit dated. Also the staff is friendly but unable to solve the most easy things. We didn't receive an invoice for the rooms because the booking was done online. No invoice for the bar and restaurants because it is not possible, the manager doesn't work on Saturdays (is this a 5* service?) and the IT Person was on lunch. Location is fantastic but I would probably try another location when back in town...

  • 3/5 Liset Cruz F. 1 year ago on Google
Always wanted to stay at this hotel and I found it somewhat disappointing, but well, it's Cuba. The room was not a (world-standard) 4-star hotel room: rundown, with mold in the shower, smelly closets and drawers, but it had clean-looking floors, clean towels and clean sheets. So, the sleeping experience was good, and for 4 nights it's okay. However, I liked the overall service. Breakfast was pretty good compared to other hotels in Cuba, people in the lobby were cool, always helpful, and the service in general is good. The pool area at the rooftop is a most, it was the best experience in town, the view, the service (although very overpriced), the ambiance, the food, everything was excellent. I would go back there, just to visit the pool area again, and because it's close to all main places....oh, also, it's better than other hotels we have stayed in the past...going cheaper in Havana is a no, and going up is a can't ;)

I had read the propaganda about Cuba but I have to say the friendliness of the people and especially the staff at the hotel. We have just completed an 88 day tour of South America and one of the best things of this hotel is that most staff speak english including the room maid.

The hotel is living up to standards as for rooms, facilities and everything.. only the food, this is not what u would expect from Iberostar! The location is the best, right by Parque Central in the middle of a mix of colors of old cars! If i would come back to Havana i would definitely come back here!

Accommodation at this centrally located hotel is sited in 2 blocks. We stayed in the newer one. The original one could be reached by a tunnel which was a bit different. Rooms were tastefully decorated with all amenities required. There is a rooftop pool with bar and restaurant on both buildings with excellent views of the city all round. The hotel is right on the main square with all the old American cars available for hire.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Ideally situated. Lovely food and all of the staff were so helpful. Gricel who was on the customer desk was brilliant. So patient and could not do enough to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Telling us the best places to go and what to see. She is a definite asset!! Can't wait to go back. Thank you again for making our stay such a memorable one.

I've been there to relax and have an early drink, knowing that it's one of the most expensive places in Cuba. I've ordered my drink and after a while I saw an insect in the glass. I called the waitress to see and explain and she just commented about that, took my glass, didn't replaced and brought me the check to leave. Sorry to say about that, but it was at least unprofessional and disappointed. So sad for such a famous place.
