👍 Elsa & Julio were the best there is, however that's the case anywhere, or 97% of the places in Cuba. Everyone are so warm, inviting and eager to assist you in anyway they can. Our last dinner at Hostal Peregrino a few years ago.

Wonderful Hostel. Owners and staff so helpful, tasty breakfasts, great guides (if you need them), close to the city for walking, restaurants, museums. There is absolutely nothing not to like. We will be going back.

Great spot to stay for a few days. Staff is very helpful and organised. Breakfast is tasty and served with a smile. The location is perfect, close to the Malecon and close to Habana Vieja. Recommended!

Stayed here for 8 days, it's an amazing location, very comfortable rooms in a safe neighborhood with an in room safe. There is a mini fridge in the room refilled with bottled water, soda, beer, and wine. The staff are always there and very friendly, they speak English, French, and Spanish. This is the perfect location if you want to walk around Havana Vieja. There is also a great local restaurant down the street called Dos Pelotas. I would definitely return to this place.

The accomodations were fantastic! The price was right, and the welcome was warm. We stayed in a private apartment that was very homey, complete with all the comforts of home, including one electrical outlet that had been converted to voltage compatible with American appliances. The location was ideal for us. We walked almost everywhere. The Capitol Building, La Bodeguita, the Malecon, Plaza de Armas, were all nearby. Both the common areas and the private apartment were impeccably maintained and decorated. It truly felt like being in a home as opposed to a hotel. We had air conditioning, hot water, even beer, wine, and soda-pop in the fridge (for a modest additional charge for each item we used). The extra $5 a day we paid for breakfast was a pleasant surprise: sausage, eggs, fresh fruit, bread, pastries, yogurt, guava juice, and great coffee! All of this was served at a cozy dining room table in the common area, which was in a neighboring apartment. The place is gorgeous, with high ceilings, vintage moulding, and decor consistent with cosmopolitan apartments of the 1940s and 50s. We were treated like family every step of the way. The owners, Elsa and Julio were present most of the time and very helpful when we wanted to book a tour or arrange a taxi. We actually saved money by taking advantage of these services, as counterintuitive as that seems. All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly, efficient, and available 24/7 should assistance be needed. When we return to Havana, we will most definitely return!

😠 The money collected in this hotel all goes to support the Cuban dictatorship. If you’re coming to Havana anyway, please stay in a casa particular or any private residence.
