The Cathedral church of San Cristobal is very impressive and one of the oldest churches in Cuba! You can visit the church from the morning to the evening and furthermore after climbing many narrow steps, you can get to the tower bell where you can enjoy the beautiful view (1CUC per person)!

This Cathedral Church with its impressive architecture is breathtaking! For 1 CUC you can also climb the steps in the tower to see the tower bells and to view the city. A must see if in the city of Habana!

The construction of Catedral de San Cristobal lasted more than three decades. The building project was started by the Jesuits in 1748 but they could not complete it owing to their expulsion from the place in 1767. The project was completed in 1787 even after without the Jesuits that initiated the project. It was first a church but with the creation of the diocese of Havana, it became a cathedral. Catedral de San Cristobal is reputed as one of the oldest churches. Before the remains of Columbus were moved to Seville, they were interred here from 1795 to 1898. If you want to visit this place, it is recommendable that you go around 10:30am on a Sunday.
