Narrow streets with many old buildings This place has an old havana character but unfortunately the buildings are left to decay and the infra run down The classic buildings can be better preserved and repaired since this is a major tourist attraction in Havana

Havana old city vibes are amazing. It’s very chill, happy place to be. Loved walking and exploring old Havana architecture, streets , local people, food, shop and everything there. Most important classic cars. I am in so much love with them. You haven’t seen real Cuba if you are not in Havana and in contact with locals. Very friendly people and very safe environment. Would love to visit again

Traveling to Cuba was certainly an interesting experience. The customs officials were grim and unfriendly. When I was told to pose for a picture, I smiled, and was sternly warned to “Don’t smile”. There are a lot of kids that came up to us and almost demanded a handout. The island and this area is pretty, beautiful water views- when you looked past the armed soldiers walking around. To be fair, I have a friend who travels there for business and is integrated into the community, and he loves Cuba and the people. I guess it is a different experience as a tourist

I have visited Havana in January. Easy to find airbnb but I would recommend Casa Particular (local version) which is very easy to find in 'every corner' andI If they are full, they know someone that knows someone... you know the drill. Havana Vieja is the go to place for visitors, I would say. Full of little bars, hideouts and has a special vibe of rotting glory which is irreplaceable..

It's really beautiful place , and it's really safe there, you can even walk with the phone on your hand, gold chains and things like that and you can be sure nobody's going to rob you

For your first time in Havana, staying in a casa in la habana vieja is the best experience. Your host family will assist you with pretty much all of your needs.

A beautiful walkthrough of skinny streets with beautiful buildings. This area is safe and very bustling. Tons to see, but not much to do outside of pretty decent dining options. Fantastic photography district overall.

Havana is fun and lively! There are cool vintage cars, music from street entertainers, fortune tellers, and beautiful architecture from buildings that the government has started to restore.

Beautiful and peaceful place It is not able to use your credit card here. So you have to bring cash definitely. The views in old city are perfectly beautiful except not main Street. If you walk in not main street, you might see how Cuban people live here. There is absolutely gap between have and not have.

Much better looking than the rest of Havana, in old town you will get a nice homely feeling.

Havana is certainly one of the most beautiful island capitals in the world. The colonial charm of old Havana, with its majestic buildings, is adjacent to the Caribbean Sea, beaches and unbridled fun.

Great cultural experience, crime rates higher than other parts of the country which is to be expected in any metropolitan city.

Very friendly people, friendly atmosphere, a lot of music and rum around. Retro cars are gorgeous. However some builds are at really bad conditions.
