Must visit if you are in Havana. The panoramic views of Havana from the fort are spectacular especially in the evening. The fort itself has some cannons and overlook windows along with some history. There is also a snack bar inside the fort.

Beautiful castle with great views and a solid exhibit detailing the castle's history. The views of the city if Havana and the ocean from the parapets is incredible, especially in the late afternoon. Unfortunately we showed up kind of late, being misinformed about the closing time, and discovered that they started closing the exhibit about 45 min before the actual closing, so get there early!

Nice to visit, a fortress used to defend against marauding pirates. This is a national treasure to Cuba. We really enjoyed the tapered defense stations for soldiers to sight and fire upon pirate ships with a well protected rock wall in front. Highly recommended to visit this site.

Iconic Fort in Havana Beautiful surroundings with great view but unfortunately the place looks depleted and poorly maintained For a main tourist attraction the standard of maintenance is disappointing This city has a lot of beauty but the condition needs a lot of improvement

Get a tour guide for 200 pessos + tip, you will learn a lot. Also, the access to the light house is available only with musium workers, really worth it!

The view was beautiful. Depending on who tells the story, the history is incredibly interesting. It's a walk through the past, to say the least.

We bought a government day tour from Veradero to checkout some of the tourist spots in Havana. The castillo was by-far the nicest part - yet sadly the one where you are kind of rushed through. We managed to sneak off the beaten path, past the tour route to snap some of these cooler pictures. The really beautiful sight of la Habana was worth exploring.

A nice place worth the visit. It was $7 or $9 to enter the fort and walk around. The bathroom is $1 to get in but large and clean. We did not use a guide but walked around and it was a site to see..different but comparable to the fort in San Juan.

(Translated by Google) It is a beautiful castle that offers you a spectacular view of Havana, its history is interesting and it is one of the museums that you cannot miss visiting. The entrance for foreigners in 2020 has a 6 cuc entrance and the best way to get there is in the guide that crosses the tunnel. You must visit the castle at night when they reenact closing the gates by sounding the cannon. We paid an additional peso to go to the roof and sit on the edge of a 3 story building and watch from above, away from the crowd and cameras. Be sure to leave plenty of time to explore and go through all the open rooms and scope out all the cool stuff they have there.

Yeah... kind of good to see, but is is breath taking? Nope. If you keen to walk - walk through Old Havana to the Terminal de Ferris and catch a line cross the channel (Casa Blanca) - easy to navigate and hike from there. It takes about 25 - 30min to walk and you will pass the massive Jesus statue, house of Che etc.. At the Castillo is also Okay tobacco shop, so you could stock up your cigars

Great Castillo to walk around, great views on old Havanna, the sea and incoming ships. Historic building, 30m high Lighhouse, Exhibitions on old ships in the building. At 9pm they shoot a canon every day! Located on the rocks, still in very good shape. A must goto place in Havanna!

Our tour leader took us there for buying Cuban cigarettes and coffee. I didn’t buy anything as I was expecting somewhere less fancy to buy cheap! However they were a open market there for selling sweeteners and art crafts which we liked.

Nice convertible taxi ride over. lovely perspective of the city from the other side of the bay. An Outpost to protect the city from invading ships and pirates back in the day. Lots of good access no railings so be careful.. row of vendors selling trinkets at the top.

Stunning views of all of havana from here. The fort is amazing and a should see while in Havana. Canons around the fort that you can photograph. It sits high on the hill so can get a lot of high winds. Learn the history and go see it.

me and my wife were on a cruise and we could see this really well from the ship I hope if we get back on holiday here at any time we will go upto this and get a better look . and we were looking at this when we were sailing past we saw lots of really beautiful buildings when we had a stop here with the cruise ship both me and my wife wished we could have stopped here longer the people are so friendly and we had a ride in one of the old cars .

El Morro Castle is filled with rich history and a spectacular view. I paid CUP200 as a foreigner plus another CUP100 for the guided tour up the lighthouse. There are also small exhibitions in the old jail section which were insightful.

A beautiful fortress, well conserved. It now serves as a selling point of several important products of Cuba, as alcoholic drinks, charutes, you´ll find one of the longest one, some paintings and souvenirs. But the best for me was the view of Havana. Some buses no not stop at the exact place where the view is gorgeous. There is a café here too, and restroom.

We enjoyed this fort during the day. Was fun to explore on our own. A guide tried to join us but we did not find that helpful. Was better to just walk and explore on our own. It was designed by the same architect that designed the forts in San Juan Puerto Rico.

It is a building with a lot of history, the views of the city, from here, are good and there were inside cigar and cigar shops typical of the island, as well as old cannons from different historical stages. It is actually a fort, not a castle. (Original) Lo visité hace 16 años, pero aún recuerdo lo grande y bonito que es. (Translated by Google) Very cool and with good conservation. 6 CUC's the ticket but if you don't want to go there is a lot of the castle outside the paid visitation around. It is a great visit, those who like to explore walking can arrive by crossing to Casablanca (1 CUC), go to Cristo, Fortaleza (here it is worth the visit, it is huge for 6CUC's too) and after arriving at Castillo del Morro. On the way back, take a taxi through the tunnel, price for those in the old town of approximately 15 CUC's.

Castillo De Los Tres Reyes Del Morro it is the large sea fortress. Located in the Havana Port mouth. The Spaniards noticed the military purpose of this place around 1538 C.E. Construction of the fortress and its subsequent stages took quite a long time. Approximately between 1590 and 1610 C.E. From the very beginning, the castle tower served as an ordinary lighthouse. Electric lighthouse started working there in 1945. It's the place worth seeing. I recommend Morro Castle for anyone who likes to view a stone fortresses, fortified castles and old gunpowder cannons. 2 or 3 hours are needed for the visit. In my opinion it's a total time needed to see, to get there and came back to town. Toilets and a snack restaurant are available there. I got there by red local bus from bus stop at Parque Martires del 71. The bus stop is easy to see because you will see buses there. I took a taxi on my way back to calle Escobar. It was an iconic original yellow VAZ-2103 Zhiguli (export name Lada 1500). Taxi Morro Castle - calle Escobar only 8 USD + 2 USD tip. It’s not too bad even without air con. You can take a nice photos of Morro Castle in the early evening from Malecón near Primavera. I did a few on February 8th, 2018. Approx. 5.40 pm.
