Greater place to get food if you hungry. Fresh ingredients, fast service, good flavors, and big variety. All you really need in a sandwich place. Plus those banana peppers are delightful. They also do soups and deserts. I gave 4 and took 1 start for a bit of inconsistency with ingredients in my sandwiches, and a bit overwhelming bread to meat and veggies quantity. I’ll be coming back for sure.

We we were passing through and decided to stop here. Sounded better than everything else and I’m glad we did! The sandwiches tasted so fresh and DELIcious (I got the corned beef Reuben) and our food was done fairly quick. I wish we had one of these in Houston!

I've been ordering the same sandwich from here for literally 15 years. They've never let me down one single time. I've never seen such consistency out of a place to eat outside of my own home. The sandwiches are prepared with patience and love. The ingredients are top of the line. If you haven't eaten at Brown Bag can you even say you've been to Alamogordo?

The italian marinara sandwich is bomb! The #9 without ham is my go to. They have a good variety of freshly made sandwiches, salads, and some sides. Staff are always friendly and patient. I love this sandwich shop and would recommend it to others. It's not just Alamogordo good. It's one of the best sandwich shops ever! 😊

Absolute best sandwiches in the area! The bread is amazing, and the flavor of the sandwiches are always consistent. Most definitely my favorite deli, and I always look forward to stopping in when I’m in town. I grew up eating Brown Bag Deli, but the military moved us away. Now, it’s a wonderful treat once a year when we visit. Highly highly recommend!

I've been coming here for years. This is absolutely horrible. I received 2 slices of meat on my sandwich thought it was a mistake took it back to the counter she replied nope that's it we weigh it out and walked off. More lettuce bread and cheese w a lil splash of thinly sliced ham and turkey. This is pathetic. This place is going down hill very disappointed 😞 😔

Great place!!! Good quality food... you can't go wrong with Boars Head. Fresh toasted bread... Yum!!! I had the ultimate green chile chicken club with ranch dressing... it was one of the best sandwiches I have had. Friendly workers, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The best Alamo has to offer in a sandwich place by a good margin. The bread is always excellent, the veggies fresh, and the options are plentiful! There isn't a lot of eat in seats so plan on a to go unless you are early, late, or lucky. The ultimate green chili chicken sandwich is a hard thing to pass up.

Best sandwich shop in Alamogordo by a large margin. The bread is always excellent and the veggies fresh. They have a ton of options but my recommendation is the Ultimate Green Chili Chicken sandwich. It's delicious. Plan on take out unless you are extra early or late due o very limited seating.

The sandwiches are great here as well as the service. You can always tell with the Mom and Pop small businesses that are run well by their staff being happy but attentive and professional. Getting that from teenagers says even more. It is impressive they also remember our orders. One time, my wife ordered a sandwich for my son and it wasn't what our picky eater would have wanted. Realizing it wasn't our usual, the employee double checked with us while it was being prepared and allowed us to correct the order. We come there often as my son takes Karate classes just up the street. Really nice people own / run this place! There is a reason other places have lackluster employees. There are many in Alamo that could learn a lot about how to run a business just by dining there.

Great food! My buddy had the Reuben, and it was loaded with meat. I had a chicken club, and it was full of flavor! We both agreed that they were among the best sandwiches we've ever had. Also, the guy behind the register was super friendly. If I find myself in the area again, I'll for sure be coming back.

Brown Bag has been a staple in the community for years. They're quick and tasty. They rarely get an order wrong. They have fresh vegetables and avocado is a great add-on. Their menu has a lot of variety in meats, and I believe they still cut in-house from slab. The sandwiches are fully customizable, though if you do or don't want something. The hot sandwiches are all great. I've tried just about everything on the menu over the years. The jalapeno steak hot sandwich is a favorite of mine, add tomatoes. The 17 with turkey, sometimes add bacon is another favorite. The seating can get full at lunchtime and call-ins can take a minute to get through if they're really busy. They also have a large selection of chips, glass bottle drinks and some sweets like cheesecake and ice cream. I'm not sure I've ever had the soups of the day, but they so have that too.

Amazing deli sandwich!! No frills, got a footlong and only made it through about half and had to quit eating. It was big and delicious!! Still cut your meat as it goes on your sandwich fresh!! This is what a sandwich should be. Highly recommend!

Now that they got the oven working again to toast the subs, I highly recommend. A wide variety of meats to choose from. If you like spicy sub, try the jalapeño steak sub. Good price. Far better then subway.

Oh my the sandwiches are so fresh. They have a great variety. I am so addicted to the corn beef rubens but finally venture out to try something new. The girl taking orders suggested the turkey bacon with green chili's = a new favorite. It was so good.

Their sandwiches are wonderful. Everything is always so fresh. Alittle pricey for my pocket book, so I treat myself every couple of months.

Food was great! Service? -5 star .As a buisness owner my self I focus on Customer service, they were very rude not to mention people that were sitting next to us were also saying that they were very rude, a couple walked out saying they weren't coming back again.. all tables were dirty which is understandable since they are busy but they didn't seem to care when asked for a whip down, they were rude to that customer and made them wait till after wiping drink area, and when customer reminded employee to come over she snapped at customer before approaching her table.

I’ve always loved brown bag since I started going there back when I was in high school. I always order the same thing- #17 with turkey, provolone, mayo, and veggies on top. I love that they have pickle slices and pepperoncini peppers you can put in cups on the side. A town favorite!

Stopped here on our road trip through New Mexico and it was packed... And for good reason! It's a very basic sandwich/ salad place but they certainly do it right! I would recommend grabbing lunch here on your way to white sands!
