Experience the feeling of staying at a haveli with a touch of royalty at this property situated right in the city. The staff is very helpful and courteous. Very very reasonable tariff. Excellent view of the fort from their terrace. Custom made, tasty breakfast available with the stay. You will be lucky if you get to have a conversation with the owner of the property Mr. Abhimanyu Phalke, who is a down to earth person and would feed you with some history of the place and about the city.

While travelling from Khajuraho to Delhi we stayed at Dera Haveli it is a nestled in the heart of Gwalior, this charming homestay, once an old palace, has seamlessly transformed into a haven of comfort and history. The impeccable service by staff and attention to detail make it stand out. Had great time with host Mr Abhimayu Phalke, he is very informative and helpful and helped us to design our itinerary for Gwalior. Dera Haveli Located at the center of the city, it provides easy access to Gwalior's cultural gems. A perfect blend of old-world charm and modern convenience, this homestay is a delightful retreat for those seeking a memorable stay in Gwalior. Highly recommend place and we’ll surely come again soon.

We spent 3 nights here and the overall experience was amazing. The room was neat and tidy. The food was made on order and served with a smile by Naresh ji. Vishnu and Rohit made sure that our stay was comfortable. Good job πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

I have stayed two nights on Oct'22 at Dera Haveli and I must describe my experience to all. They have cordially welcomed my family (3 members) with warmly and mannerly. Their service was undoubtedly superb, any request they have served without any second issue. B/F was tasty and enough for us according to our selection. Property is really heritage site and I really feel it. Our three BR was on 3rd floor with terrace which was huge and with spectacular out-seeing. We have not found any complain to lodge against them during my stay. Only one issue should be resolved at the earliest, there is no live restaurant inside property. Though they have confirmed it is under progress. The property location is middle of the town, all tourist places or city center is around 10-15 minutes distance by car. Finally I recommend all prospective tourist to stay at Haveli once and enjoy their cool holiday time

Stayed in Dera Haveli for one night on our trip from Orchha to Agra. Location is perfect and facility is good although seems that hotel rooms were built on the roof of the old building, so it was a bit cold inside (we successfully solved this problem with the heater). As we came late in the evening, we had to order dinner to hotel staff was helpful, service - fast and beer cold, but the quality of the food was average). It’s true that staff closes facility for the night time, but this didn’t cause us any problems.

The hosts are very helpful and respectful, service is outstanding. The overall stay was comfortable. The bathrooms need a slight upgrade, however the experience as a whole was wonderful. During winters, the breakfast on the roof with a view of the fort is highly recommended. Would give an extra star just for the service.

Best homestay in Gwalior, and close to the station, etc. All historical attractions in the city are easily accessible from the property. It's in a peaceful pocket of a bustling locality. The options for tasting local food are a plenty within walking distance. Some old markets too are nearby. The room was comfortable, neat and clean. The service was good (Great staff members!), and food too was quite good. The host, Mr.Abhimanyu Singh, is an amiable person. He spent some time together and it was great to learn from him a lot about the history of Gwalior, the property, and his family. If you are on a trip to Gwalior, you may want to try out Dera Haveli in case you are interested in an "experience" rather than just a "hotel-stay".

Bang in the middle of the busy market area. The room was on the terrace and had a lovely view out. Service was prompt and sincere.

Came this afternoon. Terrible experience! My heart sinks thinking I have to spend two nights here. Dirty leaking shared (other person was using, when I needed) toilet, shabby wardrobe, no fridge in the room, in such a hot weather!!

Dera Haveli Heritage Homestay offers a charming blend of traditional Rajasthani architecture and warm hospitality. The intricate design details of the haveli create a delightful ambiance. The rooms are tastefully decorated, capturing the essence of the region. The staff's attentive service adds to the overall positive experience. The homestay provides a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle, making it an ideal retreat. However, some areas might benefit from a bit of maintenance. Overall, a lovely choice for those seeking an authentic and peaceful stay in Rajasthan.

A lovely heritage haveli, with a bunch of lovely souls. It's a very compact haveli with well kept and cosy rooms, comfortable beds with properly set up washrooms that are equally comfortable for young people and families same. There is the terrace that overlooks the whole city and one can see the fort walls and enjoy a sunny morning while having breakfast. The staff is very supportive and Mr. Abhimanyu is a good hearted person who runs the place well.

The place is not just an accommodation it is an experience in itself. The Haveli gives you a nostalgic feeling of the 90's and makes you feel like a royalty. The caretakers Vishnu, Rohit and others really engage you with quaint stories of the gwalior fort and the city. Their service is excellent as well. My gratitude to Mr. Abhimanyu who really accommodated us and took care of assigning help. The toilets and the rooms are very very clean. The terrace is an ideal place to chill with friends and enjoy the fort view from there. The place seems to encapture the essence of old and new Gwalior. If you'd like to take home a piece of gwalior's history this is the ideal stay.

I was travelling solo to Gwalior and had a 2 nights stay at Dera Haveli. Takes you into a very different era with number of artifacts from bygone period (also extremely well maintained) The terrace also offers stunning views of Gwalior fort. Another good thing is the location, its extremely close to Jai Vilas palace and museum and Gwalior fort. Extremely good and hospitable staff. The owner, Mr. Phalke is also a very good host to his guests. Overall, a place worth of all 5 stars and complete worth every rupee you pay.

Our stay for a night last wk was not pleasant at all. No running water in the bathroom for the first 2 hrs. Room service telephone was not working. No restaurant facility. Lunch and dinner served after one hour. That time there were only we four people in the dera haveli. Ambience was good but service very poor. May not be recommended unless the basic facilities are improved.
