The best place to view the Rio Grande with kids or visitors. It is easily accessed from the northernmost parking lot of Tingley Beach, and you pass through the Bosque on your way to the lookout point. Head here shortly before sunset for beautiful to see beautiful views and take photos of colorful skies and the sun's reflection in the water. Just make sure to head out before Tingley Beach closes and the parking lot is locked!

Just went by to let the kids look at the ducks. We didn't stay long. They do have portable restrooms there but Please don't let your kids use them, or anyone use them. Whoever is suppose to take care of them need to check them more often.

It is a nice place by the River but when it is hot, wish there was shade... β˜‚οΈπŸŒ‘

Nice spot for walking. It's a pretty quiet place in the middle of the city, so that's a huge plus. You won't get lost and parking is generally easy

Very nice view of the river. Clean and well maintained. A bit too much light pollution for good stargazing, but you can still see some of the brighter stars on a clear night. Easy to get to, easy to spend lots of time here. However, there is a safety issue β€” the areas around the benches don't have any kind of proper railing, nor do the benches have backs, and the drop backwards is far enough that somebody could get seriously hurt if they were to fall or be pushed backwards and hit the ground. It's a broken neck waiting to happen β€” and, while I'm not a lawyer, that would also likely imply a lawsuit waiting to happen. Which is silly given how installing standard park benches instead of the weird ones currently here would solve the problem before it happens. Hopefully, someone won't have to get hurt before something gets done.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I always love visiting this trail head. So many options to take. I live in Colorado now and these foothills in Albuquerque are truly a gem. Many great spots to view the city, run, bike, hike, walk.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ My favorite trail to South peak. First two miles are no shade but the rest is beautiful. Almost 12 miles round trip. And the most Elevation change out if all the trails if you are looking for a challenge. I made my new record on this day 4 hours and 1 minute.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Great spot. Go super early before it’s gets hot !! Hiking around ABQ is under rated. Novice and enjoyable. Trails are well kept. Bring water and lots of it!
