This
hotel
does
a
lot
of
things
right,
but
also
has
a
lot
of
avoidable
problems.
**Warning:
This
review
details
safety
issues
with
the
rooms,
giving
examples
that
some
people
may
not
want
to
read.
The
internet
has
to
be
reconnected
constantly,
and
with
a
browser
prompt
every
time
-
it
can’t
just
be
purchased
for
the
whole
stay
(this
is
an
extended
stay
hotel,
really?).
The
door
of
the
“
full
size
“
refrigerator
swings
abnormally
close
to
the
ground
-
both
my
girlfriend
and
I
cut
our
toes
on
it,
opening
the
door.
I’ve
never
seen
a
fridge
like
this.
The
metal
spike
strips
at
the
edges
of
the
carpet
that
hold
it
in
place
are
sticking
up
through
the
carpet,
ready
to
cut
the
feet
of
anyone
who
steps
on
them
or
drags
their
bare
foot
across
them.
The
soap/bodywash/shampoo
holder
in
the
shower
is
mounted
at
probably
the
dumbest
position
imaginable.
It’s
right
on
the
side,
nearest
to
the
shower
head,
with
the
protruding
pump
handles
being
almost
directly
at
eye
level
(for
me,
an
average
6’
tall
male).
Dangerous,
foolish,
and
in
the
way.
Why
not
at
one
of
the
ends,
like
most
other
hotels?
This
place
is
asking
for
borderline-frivolous
lawsuits.
The
front
desk
issued
a
key
card
to
my
girlfriend,
with
no
more
information
than
the
room
number.
No
ID
check,
no
last
name
check,
no
reservation
number.
We
had
checked
in
with
a
mobile
key
only
an
hour
ago,
and
neither
of
us
had
been
to
the
front
desk.
She
could
have
asked
for
a
card
to
any
room.
Way
too
laid
back.
The
front
desk
staff
varied
throughout
the
shifts,
from
issuing
professional,
to
sloppy
and
teenage-like
responses
via
live
chat.
The
dishwasher
in
our
room
had
no
front
wheels
on
the
bottom
rack,
and
wasn’t
even
mounted
in
place
(one
of
those
dishwashers
that
just
“falls
forward”
out
of
its
cubby
hole,
when
opened).
Pretty
redneck
IMO.
On
the
plus
side:
-The
rooms
were
clean
-Clean
and
inviting
hallways
-Laundry
rooms
on
every
floor
-The
soundproofing
was
reasonably
adequate
(except
within
the
room
itself,
particularly
the
partition
wall
between
the
bedroom
and
bathroom
-
totally
bare)
-There
was
actually
a
desk
and
ergonomic
chair,
like
advertised
(not
common
for
Towneplace
2
bedroom
suites
in
my
experience).
The
ergonomic
chair
was
quite
nice,
too.
-Climate
control
was
good
enough,
and
could
be
adjusted
to
a
good
temperature
range
-The
room
had
large
plastic
mixing
bowls
with
covers,
a
nice
touch
-
but
no
pizza
cutter
or
baking
sheet,
by
default
-The
windows
could
all
be
opened
-The
vent
in
the
bathroom
was
independently
switchable
from
the
lighting,
and
could
indeed
be
turned
off
-Plenty
of
parking,
I
stayed
with
a
trailer
I’d
recommend
this
place
to
adults,
not
families,
and
only
for
short
stays
(1-3
nights).
