Location, breakfast, bathrooms, beds are all good. They also let me copy a flight ticket. 24 hour reception was useful. But laundry service was not. I had to pay 30 le to carry wet clothes on board:( I asked them to do the laundry in advance, 1 and half day earlier to the flight, but they forgot and did it at the last minute.

I enjoyed my 1 day stay. Every staff member were extremely nice. Bunk bed was clean and comfortable. There is a large locker underneath where I stashed all my backpack and gear. Met awesome fellow travellers who were very nice and social in the evening for great discussions. Very centrally located in the corniche. Why would you ever want to go to a private room hotel in Alexandria.

Not a bad hostel, common area was nice and cosy, rooms clean with comfortable beds but cannot recommend due to the disgusting bathroom. 1 toilet and 1 shower shared between approximately 24 people is just unacceptable, I lost around 1.5 hours of my morning waiting to use the shower. I saw this B&B online and most people gave it good reviews. Because the room faced the sea, I stayed in another B&B for two days and wanted to try it out later. As a result, I was assigned the dirtiest room on the day I checked in. The hygiene of the room was worrisome. At this price, I could definitely stay in the hotel. I saw that the condition of the room was very poor that day, but after communicating with the staff, they refused to refund even half of the money. It was delayed until 12 o'clock in the evening, when an Egyptian friend came to pick me up.

I am so grateful to have stayed in Ithaka for my five days in Alexandria. This place really has everything you'd want from a hostel and more. It was easy to find and has a great, central location. The staff members are super welcoming and helpful. Everything was clean, tidy and well maintained. Very comfortable beds and sea view from the rooms. The common area is super cosy, and has a homey ambience that can be hard to come by when travelling. They've done a really great job at making it feel like a living room, and it's a perfect place to hang out (which I did a lot), either for socializing, working or just having a break from the city busy-ness. Otherwise, you get a great breakfast prepared by the staff in the morning and you can also use the kitchen to cook yourself - which is a huge plus. I've been to many hostels and found this one to have an absolutely lovely ambience about it. My fingers and toes are crossed that they'll soon expand to more areas in Egypt!

The location and reception staff are amazing. The place is a bit pricy for it being im Egypt but it's so far the nicest hostel I've been staying in the country. I'm sad I missed the breakfast because I can imagine it being quite nice. Big ups for the place being eco-friendly, the only one I've so far seen in Egypt. If you visit hostel take the lift to go up, it's hell of an experience. I just loved it! :)

Very friendly staff, location directly at the corniche, open 24h. For egypt a bit expensive, breakfast could be more (they give more if wished). To improve: Laundry is supposed to be at 7AM and when I put an alarmclock to be on time, after sleeping for only 5h, just to give them my clothes they did it in the afternoon. I had to pack it when it was still not dry at 8PM... either let me sleep in the morning or else make sure it's out of the machine in the afternoon, please :)

Staying here was really comfortable for me because it's at the centre of Alexandria and near us their is almost everything so it was great for me to save time and go to more places. The staff was really kind and it was such a being able to see people from different countries at the same place was a great experience for me. You cannot use the elevator so you need to carry your luggage 2 very high floors . It’s very noise outside and windows are broken so you cannot close . Bathrooms are always wet and dirty , which is extremely uncomfortable . Wifi wasn’t working . I asked to take the eggs from breakfast the night before as I had to travel early but they refused saying that breakfast is from 7.30 am only ( it’s unbelievable that they don’t have this minimum disposition to boil a couple of eggs 😢) They sent dozens of mails asking to recommend them even before I arrive ! ! … quite annoying as they don’t care at all about the poor service they are giving to their customers , just their own marketing . Only good location but the value is not worth at all I’d not recommend it

The Staff their very kind people and funny and really makes you feel comfortable in the place 🤍 And the location is perfect just when you get out of the building the sea will be right in front of you 💙 It's near to all transportation, Restaurants and coffeeshops

I’ve spend a week in Ithaka the best hostel in Alexandria, it’s located in a great location close to Zaglol monument, Al raml station and some cool hotspots. The hostel have a welcoming atmosphere with the best staff, Omar, Hadeel, Ziad, 2nd Omar. The room with the sea view is has an amazing view but expect a bit of a noise as it is close to the street. Other than that, everything was amazing.

If you're looking for a cheap place to stay at in Alexandria then you should go to Athaka, the place is nice, their staff is very friendly and helpful and they wouldn't hesitate in helping you out. I forgot to mention that their rooms does not have an AC but you won't need it though.
