The castle was designed by the princess and the bathroom is a must see. I would definitely recommend this place. Entrance was 100egp per person - we visited on the 30th of January 2022.

One of the most valuable places in Alexandria and it has so many pictures and real jewelry from the royal era of Egypt. You'll have to wear some shoes cover before entering so you keep the floor clean and shiny. Every room has some jewelry and everyday use stuff like watches, desk tools, and hunting tools. You'll be surprised how the royal family lived their lives, and how can someone own this much jewelry. Although some of the jewelry were stolen and some are missing the stones, but it's still a place to enjoy.

Difficult to not think of the enormous amount of wealth piled up by these royal families while the poor people on the streets barely survived. Some things never change. Couldn’t help but wonder if the artisans that designed the jewelry were compensated.

I can understand why we can't use flash and that we have to wear plastic wrap on our shoes, but what I dont understand why we can't take videos but we can take normal photos????? Also the place doesn't have a working AC and almost no fans in the middle of most heated month of summer. The staff were very annoying, we weren't allowed to enter the garden! Whats the point of a museum if you're gonna make the experience bad? I've gone to many museums around Egypt but this is the only one what I'm very disappointed in.

We didn't have the chance to see Princess Fatima Haider (the owner's) painted picture as it was in one of the Chambers closed for maintenance.

(Original) يطلق عليه " قصر المجوهرات " نظراً لوجوده في المبنى الذي كان قصراً لإحدى أميرات الأسرة العلوية المالكة يوجد متحف المجوهرات الملكية في مبنى قصر فاطمة الزهراء بجليم .. وقد أسست هذا القصر زينب هانم فهمي عام 1919م وأكملت بناءه وأقامت به ابنتها الأميرة فاطمة الزهراء عام 1923م وقد تم إستخدام القصر كإستراحة لرئاسة الجمهورية .. حتى تحول الى متحف بقرار جمهوري عام 1986م . وقد بني هذا القصر (متحف المجوهرات الملكية) على طراز المباني الأوربية من الناحية المعمارية .. وهو يتكون من جناحين شرقي وغربي يربط بينهما ممر مستعرض ويتكون كل من الجناح الشرقي والجناح الغربي من طابقين وبدروم كما يحيط بالمبنى حديقة تمتلىء بالنباتات والزهور وأشجار الزينة. ويضم المتحف 11 ألفاً و500 قطعة تخص أفراد الأسرة المالكة .. وقد تم تقسيم القصر الى عشر قاعات تضم مجموعات من التحف والمجوهرات التي تخص أفراد أسرة محمد علي .. ويعد هذا المتحف من أجمل المعالم السياحية في الاسكندرية حيث يضم مجموعة نادرة ورائعة من التحف والمجوهرات والحلي والمشغولات الذهبية والأحجار الكريمة والساعات المرصعة بالجواهر والماس . أما الجناح العربى فيتكون من طابقين الأول به أربع قاعات والثانى أربع ، ويربط بين جناحى القصر بهو فى غاية الجمال كما تزخر به لوحات فنية تمثل عشرة أبواب من الزجاج الملون والمعشق عليها رسوم قصص لمشاهد تاريخية أوروبية الطراز وقصص أسطورية مثل روميو وجولييت هذا بالاضافة الى رسوم جدارية تمثل زواج صاحبة القصر. وقد زينت نوافذ القصر بلوحات فنية من الزجاج الملون وغطيت أرضيتها بأخشاب البلسندى والورد والجوز التركى. ويوجد قسم مخصص للهدايا المقدمة للملك فاروق ومنه طاقم للشاى من الذهب أهدته مجموعة من باشوات مصر لفاروق وفريدة يوم زفافهما ووقعوا بأسمائهما خلف الصينية وكذلك طبق من العقيق الخاص أهداه له قيصر روسيا. ولتميز مجموعة فاروق فقد خصص لها ثلاث قاعات فى المتحف. ولعل أول مايلفت النظر قاعة الأميرات تاج الأميرة شويكار وهو من أضخم تيجان مجوهرات أسرة محمد على وأجملها فى حين تأتى قاعة الملكة فريدة فى المرتبة الثانية بعد قاعة زوجها الملك فاروق ومن مقتنياتها التاج المصنوع من الذهب والبلاتين والمرصع بعدد 1506 قطع من الألماس مع قرط من البلاتين والذهب مرصع بعد 136 قطعة من الماس بالاضافة الى مجموعة رائعة من الأقراط المرصعة بالماس والياقوت والزبرجد والزمرد وطقم كامل من المرجان. أما مجموعة الاميرة فوزية شقيقة الملك فاروق فتضم محبساً من البلاتين عليه اسم الأميرة فوزية مرصع بالبرلنت وتوكة حزام مرصعة بأكثر من 240 قطعة من الماس. هذا ويضم المتحف معروضات أخرى منها ساعة ملكية مرصعة بالماس وتحفة فنية على شكل فيل مصنوعة من العاج المطعم بالماس والياقوت. ومجموعة من دبابيس الصدر الذهبية والبلاتينية وقصعة من الذهب الخالص كانت تستخدم معها الملكة ناريمان منذ افتتاحها احد المشروعات. بالاضافة الى التحف المهداة من رؤساء بعض الدول الأوروبية منها صينية أوجينى الشهيرة التى أهديت للخديوى اسماعيل فى افتتاح قناة السويس يقدر ثمنها بأكثر من 15 مليون جنيه وهي من الذهب ومرصعة بالماس والياقوت والزمرد. أما طبق العقيق الذى تتضمنه مجموعة الملك فاروق فهو تحفة تاريخية نادرة تحكى جزءا من تاريخ روسيا القيصرية ولا يعلم أحد كيف دخلت الى مصر. وكذلك طاقم قهوة زنته نحو 25 كيلو فضة من النوع الفرنسى أهدته شركة القناة العالمية للوالى محمد سعيد باشا.
