Beautiful! This is an amazing historical experience. I enjoyed climbing all the stairs and going into various chambers. Small windows give way to cool breezes from outside, with amazing views of the sea. Outside along the castle walls you can sit and enjoy the soft breezes coming from the sea. I enjoyed watching families sitting and fishing on the sea walls. The marina near by is filled with small fishing boats as well. It's amazing to see the artwork and architecture from thousands of years ago, withstand the sea and elements, while new construction nearby has to be constantly rebuilt. Small aquarium near by for touring with beautiful creatures from the sea.

It's empty .. Even the roof has been closed .. There are a lot that can be done in this amazing place like adding some statues, cannons, etc. to simulate the era that it represents. Also, it's too poor in written guidelines.

It is a wonderful scientific place, where I got acquainted with many types of fish that I did not know anything about..... I saw many rare fish species that may be threatened with extinction, but they are still found here

The Citadel of Qaitbay Maritime Museum is a fascinating historical site that offers a glimpse into Egypt's maritime history. Located within the Citadel of Qaitbay in Alexandria, this museum showcases a collection of artifacts, exhibits, and information about Egypt's naval heritage. For a modest entry fee of 25 Egyptian pounds (EGP) as of June 2023, visitors can explore this small yet informative museum. The displays provide insights into Egypt's maritime traditions, including ancient naval warfare, seafaring expeditions, and the development of shipbuilding techniques. While the museum may not be extensive in size, it offers a condensed and engaging experience for those interested in maritime history.

Mummified aquarium This is distinguished by the fact that there is a very large group of mummified marine life, such as fish, snails or shellfish It also contains stuffed sea birds, a huge skeleton of a whale, and a mermaid's skeleton Location: at the Citadel of Qaitbay - Alexandria
