Sporting Club is is one best clubs in Egypt. It has a wide selection of sports that goes from simple games like pool table and golf, to extreme ones like swimming, track&field, and basketball. However, if you aren't on the sports side, then there's lots of restaurants to eat from. It can also be a quite nice walk around the club. Anyways, Sporting Club has a great golf field and I'd recommend visiting it👍

Visited for a round of golf, partly through recommendations and partly as it is the sole course close to Alexandria (Alex West is not recommended as a golf course!). Price wise - it was very cheap. EGP 70 to access the sporting club, and EGP230 for a round of golf (with trolley). The course itself is compact (not surprisingly) and if busy, would probably cause some issues - some tees require a drive/tee shot directly over the preceding green, or a crossing fairway. Historically important, there is a need for the course to be taken care of. At the moment, it seems to lack the attention is needs and deserves. The fairways are not great. The greens are a myriad of grasses and mosses. There are occasional mounds of refuse. But with some attention, the course could be brought up to a high standard, allowing it to compete with the new, longer, and internationally designed courses elsewhere on the North Coast - it would have a unique selling point that other courses could never match (being located in the centre of a bustling metropolis). But without the attention it deserves, it risks being subsumed by five a side football pitches or tennis courts, which would be a disaster for Alexandria!

Very great club in history. It was founded in 1890, as one of the oldest clubs in Egypt and Africa. The club was taken over by the Egyptian government and converted to a national club in 1952. The club is best known for their handball and basketball teams. There are many things to be done there for everyone in a family. The Club House just takes you decades back in time to feel and enjoy the classic authenticity of time, furniture and wooden walls. The golf and race tracks provide good amount of green landscape. You can always enjoy your time anywhere in the club with a cup of coffee and a croissant.

The largest green area left in alex. You can easily enjoy a whole day from morning to evening. There are a variety of restaurants and cafes offering different cuisines. If you like swimming you can take a dip in the heated pools during winter time . Also your loved ones can choose their preferred sports from a long list. However, if you go after 4 pm most probably you won’t find a parking spot the track and the parking lot are all very busy. .

Visited there numerous times during my holiday. 70 EGP entry for foreigners. 20EGP for use of a sun bed. 20 EGP for use of the pool (... the pools are dedicated lanes for laps and there is around 8 - 10 lanes). Awesome facilities. Rented some golf clubs and did some driving on the golf course (approx. 100 EGP depending on how many balls you use). Food options within the club - great place to relax and enjoy sports.

Entry is now 250 LE, last week was 100 LE. For this old place way to much. Needs a full renovation to justify these prices.

Founded in 1890, the club is one of the oldest clubs in Egypt and Africa. Historic elite club influenced by British culture and traditions, the original founding purpose of the club had been to provide social gatherings for its elite members and for carrying out physical activities. Thus, from the start the club included a golf course, tennis courts, a club house and a horse racing track. Now it has almost all kinds of sports from swimming to waterpolo, hand ball, basketball, volleyball, football, tennis, squash, table tennis, billiards, crochet, balls and athletics.

A blend of an old and a temporary style inside the fence of the club. Finding a parking spot for your car is a formidable task on weekends. Cafés and restaurants cater for members at a reasonable price and decent quality (on average).

Cleanest club in Alexandria, never gets old, and the community is also very clean and nice, I'm also in love with all the events they host. Keep going!

Greatest old sporting club performing different types of sports and creation and social activities between members and guests with a vast green areas for kids and enjoying music parties,and horse riding area and a wonderful food corners and a club house .

I am a member in Sporting club. This place is a complete club for sport activities tennis, Jim, Squash, Golf , swimming, football courts .. et, full of restaurants there is at least Six Restaurants . Also a social areas to sit down with friends , families to have coffee , tea , baverages etc. It is a complete stand alone seaports and social club .

One of the best communities for you and your family to be in, but the location is now over crowded with cars to the point you take 30 min to get out. But on the other hand it has the best coaching, best pools and best gyms. Membership is the most difficult part as they don't take new members, but you can always have a nice day use if you have a member with you. Avoid weekends as it gets fully crowded with kids and enjoying your time will be a bit difficult unless you are planning on playing golf, it had the best fields and it's never crowded.

Customers are not welcome here. Today they want me to pay a ticket 250egp for my 5 yo daughter, when kids up to 6 yo entering shouldn’t pay.

An excellent sporting facility with poor hygienic care especially in the bathrooms.. much needed to be done ..

It's an amazing place, relaxing, service is aces, the place haven't changed for years.

A club where you can feel isolated from the outer world. Just as grand as how it should be. It has glorious history with modern touch starting from the new smart club visa ID which you can use to buy at merchandise points and still be a valid club ID. Also it has lots of successful sports professionals who earn awards and win championships annually.

Great place, nice people an overall cleaner than most of the other clubs I've visited.

One the few places in Alex to go for a walk. Day pass for foreigners. Access to all the facilities with extra cost. Still, affordable.

It still keeps its aura ever since it was founded centuries ago It offers places for children, places for social activities, places to practice different sports and more importantly places where one can relax, read a book, or do some work surrounded by trees
