The rooms were nice and clean, however it was impossibly hot. We notified them ahead of time that my wife was pregnant, but we were just given a fan. We were told that 2 of the rooms had Aircon, but we weren't given one of those. We were also given a room on the ground floor of the main strip which both got the sun all day and where we couldn't leave the windows open at night.

The rooms are large and nice-ish but more than a little run down. The whole building smells heavily of humidity/mold, or is covered up with EXTREMELY heavy cleaning products - the kind that burn your nose. Most of the staff is fine but one of the desk ladies is very, very strange. Communication was an ongoing issue regarding cleaning and check out and room preference. I paid specifically for a better room but they tried to put me in the basement in a room that had a bathtub but NO SHOWER. I dunno - it’s a good location but there’s gotta be better options.

We recently stayed at a beautiful bed & breakfast in Lisbon called Casa Oliver, in the Barrio Alto area. Very kind staff, elegant environment, Breakfasts served in a splendid retro-style room, Hoping to return, we recommend it to all those who want to visit an unforgettable city. 23:14

Good location. Friendly helpful staff. Huge, dark building greatly in need of refurbishment. Too many faults which have been mentioned in previous reviews but obviously not dealt with.

Amazing place to stay. Really good location, room's decorations are amazing and people is really kind.

I enjoyed my stay very much. Stayed for a whole week (sun -sat). The rooms were clean, fresh towels. Always a kind word (advise of wisdom) so that you can find your way through wonderful Lisbon. I WILL BE BACK HERE..

What a nice weekend we had at Casa Oliver. Imagine an historical city house with high ceilings and tasteful interior. Add great service from kind staff, who always seem to think in advance for their guests (prepped breakfast for early leaving, the umbrella was a life saver!!). Put everything into one of the most vibrant areas of Lisbon (Principe Real) and put the hotel literally in front of the beautiful Jardim Botânico. And that’s what Casa Oliver is all about. We will definitely come back here and can fully recommend it.

Delightful place to stay with huge suite to hangout in and the best location to explore Lisbon. Staff were wonderful and friendly. Good value. Only downside that there is not great sound proofing.
