I must say I came away with mixed feelings. The restaurant is small and typical. The food was tasty and simple. The service...well they could not have tried harder. The waiter was attentive and polite and making sure we were happy and had everything we needed. The value for money fantastic especially considering the location. So why the mixed feelings? In the heart of traditional old city Lisbon this typical old eatery is owned and run by a Bangladeshi family who can't speak a word of Portuguese. How does that work. The menu is a series of pictures above the counter. I salute them for trying so hard to make life work. Good luck.

Together with my wife we choose pork. Large portions at cheap prices. For us was okay. If you want a fancy place this is not for you. 3 dishes and 2 drinks ~ 25€.

The cow meat was horrible, bring a professional chewer if you order it. Bathroom worse than a public one during a festival. But very nice staff and ok prices. Could go there again but for other food.

Welcomed at 11pm, the waiters tells us the French fries machine is off but he can turn it on for us if we wait 10 minutes (without additional fees). Plus the French fries are cut in front of us in a fresh potatoe. Nice waiters and very good taste for the fries !

Great food, service was also good. Affordable prices. Prawn curry was just too good, loved it.

Bad place, i think they should get a visit from the food inspection. My fries were fried in an old oil with at least 7 days, i could taste almost everything it was fried on it., alsow they expelled an homeless guy the worst possible way. I'll find a way to excuse all of the above because it was a cheap meal..... not... don't go there!

Gouged and then lied to. My wife developed hip pain this trip, so I went out in pouring rain to find food. Ended up here. Ordered sandwiches. Which were poor quality. Just bread, slice of egg and limp lettuce. Was charged 5 euros each. As I do not speak Portuguese or Spanish and am deaf, couldn't argue. But next day (today) we returned. Learned that the sandwiched sold for 2 euros each. My wife speaks Spanish and brought up the discrepancy. They lied and said they'd not overcharged us. Then said it was our fault to have overpaid. Sullied our visit to an otherwise lovely city.

Just had drinks, the food menu is cheap but I didn't eat so I can't comment on quality. The bathroom smells bad like a portable festival WC.
