The BEST food I had in Lisbon during our stay for one week. Food is amazing, price is reasonable, waiters are friendly, view and vibe are great! Also I love the design of menu, beautiful and useful, it is easy for foreigners to understand. ❤️ Definitely love it!

My expectations regarding Dom Bacalhau were quite high and they were pleasantly met! The restaurant has a great ambiance, and the staff are exceptionally polite and welcoming. We tried the sampler platter with four different type of bacalhau meals, and they were fantastic! In addition, we tried the Bacalhau a Minhota dish, which I can say was the best bacalhau I've ever tasted. Despite not being located in the center of Lisbon, the restaurant is definitely worth the trip! 😍

I absolutely love this place. Their cod recipes are amazing. Portions are hefty and super tasty! Throughout the years the service has been decreasing its quality. Lots of employees but a superunorganised service. Food has also seen better days. I will not change my overall score review as I know everyone has bad days... But my cod today was super salty and everything else on the plate was super bland.

Excellent. If you’re into salty cod fish, this is the place to try it out — dishes come in various variations, each of them a delight to have. We ended up having the sharing menu which easily feeds 4 people. Each of the dishes was great, with the most favourite voted as the creation by chef Julio as well as the pasta-alike version. The fish itself doesn’t taste as salty as advertised, instead it’s a beautiful taste full of flavours from the sea and local vegetables. The prawns were an excellent choice too. Service was great, super friendly and enthusiastic about what they do for a living.

Wow, the place was worth the visit. Found this restaurant by walking past and noticing how busy it was. We decided to eat there. From the start the staff was very accommodating to find a table for 5 during a busy period. Once seated the service was prompt. Ordered drinks which were promptly despatched to the table. The various fish dishes were brought out in a good time no long wait. However I feel the chefs need to get the timing of food delivery a bit right. One dish was nearly cold. The desserts were sublime and very fulfilling with flavours bursting in you mouth. The restaurant has a welcoming decor and relaxed atmosphere. Waiting staff were exceptional running around under pressure of a lunchtime rush and offering a superb service. Without them the restaurant would not rate as well. Price wise was reasonable for the dishes.

The food here is very good! I personally like the fact you can try different cod dishes. My favourite are the pataniscas. It is always a good place to take foreign visits to try the cod specialities. The service is friendly but it tends to take a while, they are always super full! It is in a good location but since it is a big restaurant always full, it is always too loud and confused atmosphere. The prices are low considering the quality and the portions size.

Good restaurant, good location and very good quality of food. The bacalhau com natas needed more seasoning and less cheese, because it was very plain, probably to please the broader public, however some dishes were missing the classical salt from the bacalhau. The menu was very good, I had octopus for starters and it was delicious! Serviço as mesas pode melhorar, a equipa tem de ter amor ao trabalho e gostar de servir , se não sente-se a disconecçao do Business e a comida.

It would've been a 5 star rating but the server didn't tell me that the bread basket and butter that he put on my table when I sat down was an additional cost. He nonchalantly put it at the table as I was sitting down to eat. I wouldn't have minded paying but you've got to communicate that there's a fee or simply ASK if I want it BEFORE putting it on the table as if it were complimentary. Give me the choice. He also didn't tell me the butter (the kind that come in the little square containers cost money (€1 each). I also asked about getting dessert for take away, he didn't mention there was a charge to do so. Lots of little unexpected charges that showwd up on the bill that could've been communicated earlier. Give me the option and let the customer decide. Feel a little taken advantage of. The food was delicious. I had cod with potatoes.

The food and atmosphere were great, but the service was lacking, but that is ok. We had a great time being there. We ordered some olives, patinisca de bacalhau, bread, and the chef's Bacalhau dish, and it was amazing, it kinda of reminded us of a risotto but it was all fish, spinach and potatoes. The 2L bubbling sangria Aldo got our energy going after spending a couple of hours in the aquarium just up the road. A great place for really good bacalhau, will come back.

Experience the best, most authentic Portuguese food here. The staff are very kind and supportive. If you visit Lisbon, this is the place I highly recommend to you.

This was an impromptu stop and it turned out to be quite good. My Portuguese girlfriend enjoyed her bacalhau and I had shrimp/prawns in a garlic oil. Mine was excellent; very flavorful. The prices were in line with expectations. Definitely worth a stop.

We’ve loved it the mix of cod fish. Hard to pick one favourite. It will make anyone fall in love with codfish dishes. Please add wine to your order.

Had dinner here for my first night in Lisbon and I can say that it was the best meal I had during my whole stay. I had been craving to eat some good seafood and did not disappoint. The bacalau and shrimp were cooked very well and seasoned perfectly to my taste. The only minus aspect that bothered me was how the appetizer bread came in all different sizes, shapes, and types, not helping me but to believe that they had gathered and served leftover bread from previous tables.

Amazing bacalhau variety, best pataniscas I’ve ever tried! Very nice service, menu offers also other fish dishes. We saw chef dined in the same room and it was a nice touch! Just the wines by glass could be a longer list, to try more things!

Amazing restaurant located at Parque das Nações area close to the Tejo river, with a variety of plates made with bacalhau (cod fish). The “Pataniscas de bacalhau” followed by a vinho verde (green wine) is a must try!

For sure a classic place where to eat the codfish (bacalhau). Big plates and good rates. Area is full of restaurants, river front. Staff was simply amazing, very very kind and friendly. Recommended.

Bacalhau a lagareiro, not salty. Bacalhau com broa, pure salt. I couldn’t finish. We tried to come eat by the water for once and it felt like a tourist trap. Service is ok. View is nice. Food is just average

If you’re looking for a truly Portuguese cuisine, this is the place. Tasty local dishes and reasonably priced. The place gets very busy so best to get in early or book.

Food was good but place is mostly for tourists and slightly over priced. I just wanted to try once. Average potion. They have a unique 4 different type of bacalhau plate which is too big for two of us so we didn’t order. If you are first time In Portugal with over 3 or 4 people then good to try!

Cod fish on the menu presented a million different ways. The white sangria was ok. The food was delicious and the serving was very big. The location is excellent. Reservations are encouraged. I did not have one.

The best dinner I had during one week in Lisbon! I am generally not a big fun of Codfish, but here in their main dish it is just delicious! Mango moose is also highly recommended! Prices and quality is much better then in the old city

Seafood restaurant
👍👍 My favourite meal and the best seafood rice I ever had in Portugal and Spain! Please ignore the unpleasant comments about this restaurant and come! Each bit of the seafood rice is krabby and delicious. The price for each person is 15 euro. The only noticeable thing is you can only order seafood rice...
