Place is fine. I'm baffled by all the hate of the recent reviews. One person gave it one star because inflation raised the taco price? One star because taco price increase. Nevermind they liked the food? Bad review methodology. In any event. The food is great here. Standard Mexican flare. The service is mediocre because you are expected to get your plates. That's not terrible. That the type here. Nice place to eat. Plenty of chairs and tables for the size. Good place.

When I arrived the ladies greeted me very nicely. I wanted something fast and simple, so I ordered huevos rancheros thinking I would only get the eggs only. Was very surprised after seeing my plate :D

Refused to allow me to eat inside with my Doctor endorsed service dog. Employee said she needed to see a registration card which actually doesn't exist in California. Registering service dogs in California is a scam.shame on rancheros. Owner needs to be better educated.

Good prices for what you get, this place is really small with a parking to match. Friendly staff and clean tables. The portions are very good.

Love the shrimp burritos, friendly service and lady even gave me 2 free sodas with my order.

Haven't been to El Ranchito in years. The food we got was excellent and tasty...posole, carne asada torta (my daughter raved it's the best she's ever had), huevos rancheros, chilaqiles, and taquitos.

This place has really delicious food. Ms. Carolina is a sweet person and is attentive to her customers needs. Everything is homemade and authentic. BEST MEXICAN restaurant in Alhambra!!! 10/10 recommended

Had a delicious veggie breakfast burrito(fried egg, potatoes, and beans) on an early Saturday morning. Spicy salsa was flavorful and spicy! The salsa paired perfectly with the burrito. There were only two people ahead of our order, and the service was fast and friendly.

So good. The place was empty except one other person, not usually a good sign but it smelled really good inside. Cash only which is mildly inconvenient. The food is tasty though. I got the chilaquiles and added egg. They were the perfect texture. No dry overcooked egg or sogginess in the chilaquiles. Food takes a minute because it’s pretty fresh. I ordered ahead on the phone before going over and it still took a little while of waiting. Not a bad thing, but if you order there, just be prepared it may take some time.

Delicious home cooking. Comfort food. Small corner parking, but I'm going back.

This place is a gem! Good was amazing, Carne asada burrito, and wet al pastor burrito, both so good. Cooked fresh by the nicest workers I've ever met! The owner is a doll, while her husband runs the mechanic shop next door. Get your car worked on and enjoy some amazing food!

Fish tacos are .99 from 2pm to 5pm Tuesdays. Closing time is 5pm, not 4 or 4:30 on google maps Fresh, the fish are not small at all, very filling with lettuce sour cream and pico on top. Ask for side of lemon or hot sauce.

Fish tocos and spicy sauce pretty good. They are very busy on take out orders (which is good) so need a little patience waiting for eating here.
