Visited 3rd time with family.... Nice and soothing atmosphere... Pleasant smell of fresh plants and herbs... Though water level is quite low today but in previous journeys it was quite high... Families were enjoying BBQs in natural environment and we're enjoying there quality time here

We thought that we would see cute fishes and a heart-warming scene in the clean water, but it was nothing like that. There were some fish on the shore But around the garbage there were puddles of dirty water

Once it was a very clean and beautiful natural dam of Islamabad, but with the passage of time, its beauty has been ruined, and its water has gradually become extremely polluted. I got a skin allergy while fishing there on weekends. The fisheries/concerned department has given the dam on contract to a party to collect the fish and sale at their own to the market. So, now, they charge 1000 per fishing licence/token for fishing. Besides the contractor is also capturing the fish at a huge level, therefore the visitors and tourists hardly get any fish, except for a few points /locations and and a few old fishing gamers.

I visited this place and i love this place. I want to sit here and spent time. The sound of water and everything around it is amazing. I recommend to visit that point.

It's a place with an amazing scenery but there are two things which I hate about this place 1st this is place is so dirty, and all of this is because of the tourist which comes there and left the trash behind 2nd in this hot summer there like no shade or anything and it's really hot out there I would advise to not go before Asar

It's a serene sight with police on site for security. You need to get a permit for fishing, so if you are planning to visit just for fishing keep that in mind. It's 1k Rs on the time of this review. There are no beaches around. The lake is full of disposable utensils, people really don't care about the cleanliness. I did pick some trash but we all need to put in Effort and act like a civilized nation.

The place itself is good for outing And BBQ. If u wana do boating in rawal dam I would recommend not to book it through lake view park as fares are high ( 2000 minimum) But if u take the route through lethrar road (bani gala) the fares are low ( 500 mini and 800 max)
