As a wedding guest attending an out of town venue, you might be fortunate enough to walk into something extraordinarily beautiful and imbued with an ambient charm and serenity second to none. At Meadowview Gardens, just north of Cobourg, you will experience luscious gardens and marvellous, meandering footpaths, waterfalls, ponds and secluded nooks. Picture perfect tents, greener than green grass and elegant gravelled pathways guide those who care to explore…. It has a refined sense of tranquility but with the emotive power of truly spectacular English gardens. Assuredly the wedding was a success but this venue is a labour of love - a marriage of growth and of purposeful futures, wedded to beauty!

Was recently invited and attended a beautiful small intimate wedding here for some family friends… it’s truly in the middle of no where, but this has to be the most beautiful wedding venue I have ever been too. The owners take such pride in the property, everything is out of this world. The gardens, the flowers, the foliage, the everything… absolutely breathtaking. To be wed here is an actual dream come true. I can’t think of one thing I would change or have differently, and I am the pickiest of people. Just an incredible and marvellous place to share in love. IF I ever decide to get married, this is the place to do it. So tranquil, so peaceful, so beautiful. I really can’t get over how lovely Meadow View Gardens is. My ONLY problem was that the DJ couldn’t play his music very loud… which didn’t make a lot of sense to me because there’s literally NOTHING else around or any neighbours around to bother with the music, so it would have been nice to have a little bass and volume while trying to boogie.

Absolutely gorgeous place . Friendly staff, very organized. Only one negative problem - the driveway needs to be paved and possibly a little wider(see attached photos) the driveway was horrible . And parking for the event I was at , was in a small field , on grass on a slope , poor lighting at night in the car park area . Flood lights (solar) could work or a possibility for owners . I give this place a 9 out of 10.

Unbelievable venue, and beautiful hosts Gary and Julie made our special day unforgettable. They were communicative, kind, and made sure we were prepared for our special day. It was a pleasure to be able to share their amazing gardens and venue with our guests.

The Meadow View Gardens was the PERFECT venue for our wedding day. Every guest could not stop talking about how beautiful our wedding and venue choice was! Julie and Gary were so very gracious and generous as hosts to my daughter and son-in-law for their wedding. The enormous amount of work and devotion they have put into their gardens was evident by the beauty that surrounded us on the wedding day. They went out of their way to ensure the day perfect not only for my daughter and son-in-law but for everyone in attendance. We appreciated that they were on site and were able to provide a list of vendors that had been vetted by them to provide exceptional services. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful and tranquil outdoor space.

We had our wedding at Meadow View Gardens this past August and could not have been happier with our choice! The gardens are breathtaking and the owners Garry and Julie were the most wonderful hosts. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone, especially those looking for an intimate, outdoor garden wedding!

We booked the venue in January, so we were blown away when we got to tour the venue in the summer. The gardens were still looking fabulous, even in early fall and after a long period with no rain. And as the sunsets and the twinkly lights come on it's like you have a whole brand new venue. We loved our experience with Meadow View Gardens! Julie was fantastic. She was super responsive and answered all our many questions. We never had to chase her down for answers. She made sure we had everything we needed for our special day. She helped us source craft beer for the party, set up our champagne toast, and kept up with our thirsty guests. We even had one guest in a cast and without us having to ask they provided a golf cart for her to get up to the shuttle at the end of the night. We only wish we could get married there again!!

I recently had my wedding at meadowview gardens, and although it was one of the most beautiful venues, the owners are WAY to strict about everything. The guy who owns the place was rude to my guests and even at one point yelled at myself(the bride) for asking for a type of drink (a simple no would’ve been fine). They had a security guard who was one of the most rude and unprofessional people I have ever met. Witnessing the way he spoke to my guests made my heart hurt. I am so thankful my guests were patient and respectful even after how they were treated. We paid for the venue and in our contract it stated our last song would play at 11:45 and then to leave by 12, but they played our last song at 11.30 without giving us a choice as they said it must be played at this time, and then was yelling at people to get out. They even tried to send the bus I ordered to leave by 11:45 without me on it. If things are in the contract stating times, then they should not being going back on their word. They should really consider only being a venue that does ceremonies because they clearly cannot handle any form of partying or celebrating for a wedding. This was supposed to be one of the most important nights of our lives and it’s a shame that the owners were the reason we did not enjoy ourselves.
