πŸ’’ Great place & good facilities. Toilets are very clean, functioning & no unpleasant smell. The track are beginner friendly but there are also a more challenging track. Journey to the peak takes around 30 min one way (normal pace). Overall recommended for everyone even kids can climb up the rocks under supervision. ‼️ Recommended to wear gloves when going up the rocks since it has sharp edges too. If you are afraid of height & have balancing issue, be careful when you are going to takes pictures. Be responsible & considerate. ⭐️ Sunset or sunrise? I went during sunset & the view was fascinating but please bring headlamp on your way out since it is dark & no light. To be safe better hike early in the morning & for tracking purpose I used Strava.

Nice lighthouse. A little workout 15 mins walk of tar Road from the entrance to the light House. If youre up for a nice view, head to Bukit Batu Putih. Just as you approach the light house, you will see on your right there will be a metal staircase leading into the forest. Take that staircase and go all the way for around 15 to 20 mins. Easy terrain to walk. If you want to go to the beach, which is quite a steep descend with proper steps. At the TOP of the light house, look for a left exit that descends downwards. It is a clear pathway. Just keep following the path around 20 mins and you will reach the beach. But be ready to hike all the way up again. It is a beautiful beach if there is less crowd. So i suggest go during the cold periods. Avoid school holidays, long weekends etc.

No words, the best of all visits. The weather was stunning,. Better to reach the place before 8:30am. So we can witness a lot of bird sounds, pleasant weather, and moreover the view point is not crowded.

Fun and excited. Challenging hiking trail (medium) not suitable for beginners or children if you go for jungle trail. Due to the popularity, Bukit Batu Putih quite crowded on weekend. Water is green and clear without pollution. Walk/hike around the tanjung with a lot of photo taking needs 4 hours, covered around 5km.

Don't miss this place if you are in PD. Especially if you love hiking. There is tarmac up to the lighthouse which is short and easy walk. You may opt to further walk to Bukit Baru Putih for 360 view then to Monkey Bay for relatively clear water beach but no more tarmac. Unless you never hike before, this trail considerably easy and fun. Anyway, this part of the Negri Sembilan actually under Malacca territory. Strange but interesting.

Loved the walk up to the lighthouse. It was a good exercise. We met a gentleman who was making his third trip up the hill that morning. Wow! We also managed to spot a couple of birds but couldn't identify them. I almost stepped on a snake too. A tiny multi-hued fella. But we couldn't get into the lighthouse. A friendly man from inside the compound told us we would need to apply in advance to gain admission to the place. It's okay. We skirted the base of the premises and came to several feet from the edge of the hill facing the sea. We didn't spend much time there, but were thrilled to be able to see the water from that elevation. There were a couple of monkeys in trees that grew precariously on that steep side of the hill. They looked absolutely peaceful, unlike us. One thing that disturbed us was some garbage that we found on the way up the road. Whether it was the work of monkeys or their bipedal cousins, we don't know.

Facilities upgraded. Anyway, you can climb Batu Putih through 2 ways. 1. Via the monkey bay trail (got signage) - you'll find this on your right, probably after you see the second pondok rehat. Walk down in the jungle, until you see the beach and start climbing the rock so called batu putih. This is a more challenging and interesting way to discover. Once you know this route, you will stick to this route forever. 2. Via the entrance, just before the rumah api. The entrance is on your right. This entrance is further away from no. 1 entrance. They already upgraded the area with signage/facilities etc. walk into the jungle, and at the end you will see the rocks. Then climb a bit, and you will be at the peak. Personally, I prefer going through the monkey trail, climbing the rock from the beach until the peak, and going out from the 2nd route. You'll get the complete set of view.

Had a very quick and short hiking.. Entrance fee RM 1, parking should find yourself. Once reached the top.. you can continue to go down to beach on other side of hill. It's call Intan Beach. Crystal Clear water.. not many can visit.. as it's quite dangerous too... I don't recommend children for this beach.

Morning always crowded with people. I was fortunate to reach this place around 11 plus in the morning, with less people and I am able to find for a parking space near the entrance. The whole journey walking up to the light house was no people, only left me alone. Enjoying the whole hiking journey without rushing. The most challenging part was going down and returning back up the steep staircase heading to the beach.

Walking to the light house requires around 20 minutes while further walking to the beach will require another 20 minutes to 30 minutes depends on how fast you walk. The cleanliness of the beach is 4 out of 5 stars, the water is clean, just that the beach has a bit of rubbishes (but is still acceptable as compared to other beaches nearby). I would comment the beach as a hidden gem πŸ’Ž. As for the light house, nothing interesting to view.

A must visit place. You can have alot of fresh air breath here. The best beach need to visit is Monkey Bay due to clear water and soft sand. Better to come on morning (10 am) or evening (4pm) if you want to experience clear sea water. But you have to go through hiking trail to reach Monkey Bay. Besides, if you are a bird watcher, you may also consider this place. Some of rare bird species found here.

Been here a few times. A bit more rundown than before; they didn’t really maintain the cleanliness here πŸ˜… they are no longer collecting any entrance fees. Plenty of places to explore. There are signboards along the path, but make sure to do your research before coming here. Good place for a novice hike. Today we went to the β€œsecret cave”. It’s more of a small archway only accessible during low tide. Make sure to check the tide schedule online before going. Go up to the lighthouse. Behind the lighthouse is the trail (Pulau Intan) towards the beach/cave. You’ll reach Tangga Taubat. Go down the tangga and you’ll reach the beach. Head right towards the sandy beach and make another right towards the rocky beach. The cave is located at the end of the rocky beach. ⚠️ Leave before the tide rises ⚠️

Simple hike to the lighthouse. There is a path down to the beach, but we didn't go there because it is getting late. No entry to the lighthouse, but definitely have a good view of the sunset.

    There is a parking space on reaching the entrance of the forest park and also the way heading towards the light house. The way up is a steep and tar path, takes about 20 to 30 minutes to get to the enterance of the light house depending on each individual. We were in shade of trees most of the time going up and there are some covered rest areas for you to take a breath. Certain parts are quite steep so be prepared for it with a good pair of walking shoes. At one point, there is a diversion which you can view the migration birds depending the time of the year. Probably this is a good time now. Not an easy path to take, do take care. On reaching the top, there are some steps to climb up to have a closer look at the light house. But the light house is out of bound and locked. You can go round it to catch a view of the sea, only part of it as there are trees blocking the view. Well on going down, it will be faster and easier to roll down.....hahaha joking only. Enjoy your walk and have a good weekend! { I hope the authorities in charge will look into the rubbish along the route going up to the light house }

I like that the route is well-paved. There are some rest area provided. There is also a toilet built near the entrance. This route would lead to the lighthouse where you can peek at the blue ocean under the hill. There's also path to the beach (I didn't go though). Free entry. Parking: you can park in front of the villa (located before the entrance gate). We went there during weekdays and there was no guard/ security at the main entrance. But they left the gate open a bit just enough for us to pass through. Car/motorbike isn't allowed to enter.

Steep walks up the hill. An old lighthouse rests atop the hill. Side path enters into the forested area. It is not very high up. Some lower areas may be inaccessible due to the rise of tides.

If you manage to hike to the Bukit Batu Putih, you will be rewarded with a spectacular view. Totally worth it. It is also good for beginner hikers. They said have to pay at the entrance, but last weekend I went there, we can enter it for free.. Not sure why But yeah, it's really a great spot for hiking

Great short walk that will take you 15min to get to the lighthouse. Then you can continue with a short hike down to the beach. There are to side of the beach there, which is beautiful, a little secluded and worth the hike...

Good and shady forest bathing walk of 25 minutes to the first and only gazetted coastal forest light house built by the Dutch. If one has no knee pain, anyone from young to old can reach this majestic and well maintained light house. It's gate will open for official organisers and its members to conduct a censor count and to watch the migration of raptors, world phenomenon every year in 1st week of March. The walk path is a tar road which is very well maintained and very clean. It's worth the short walk through this breezy and serene path to the light house, a famous historic sight.

Beautiful track and what a scene from the top of the light house. It's 800 m walk to the top and worth going. There are many tracks on this route which you can explore while going there. Bring rain protection and beware of the Monkeys. Better to go during early morning or late afternoon so the climate will be little colder. Bring your food and water as you won't find it upside. Tracking equipment are must.

I visited Tanjung Tuan during the Hari Raya holidays with my family, including two young children aged 5 and 2. It was our first time visiting the area, and we were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't very packed despite the holiday season. We decided to explore the radio tower and I carried my 2-year-old up and down the tower to enjoy the beautiful views. The beach was clean, and the sea was calm, which made it perfect for swimming and relaxation. We spent around two hours having a picnic at the beach before returning back to the entrance to clean up at the toilet. Unfortunately, the toilet was not well-maintained and had a bad smell, which made it a disappointing end to an otherwise enjoyable day. Overall, Tanjung Tuan is a great destination for families with young children, especially those who love outdoor activities. However, it's essential to note that the toilet facilities near the entrance need improvement.

A super amazing hiking spot. Recommended to visit after 10am to avoid the crowds and enjoy the tranquilising moment. Route: Tanjung Tuan Recreational Forest > Monkey Beach > Bukit Batu Putih > Cape Rachado Lighthouse > Pulau Intan Difficulty: 2/10, really beginner-friendly spots, can see lots of parents bringing young children to hike together. View: 10/10, impeccable views of the Malacca Strait

Tanjung Tuan Recreational Forest offers a serene escape into nature's embrace, providing a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The gentle sea breeze and the rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the shore create a soothing ambiance that's perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. Reaching the vicinity of the Cape Rachado lighthouse, the feeling of anticipation and excitement towards the iconic landmark draw closer. The sight of the towering structure against the backdrop of the ocean is a sight to behold, evoking a sense of awe and wonder. The facilities at Tanjung Tuan Recreational Forest are well-maintained, with picnic areas and rest shelters providing a comfortable space for visitors to unwind and enjoy a leisurely meal amidst nature's beauty.

Lovely park and easy trek! There wasn't anyone at the counter but there were monkeys around (non aggressive). The trails were very obvious and for the beach route that takes slightly longer, online sources say that you should check the tides before going as it may be more dangerous at high tide. There's a short boulder near the peak of Bukit Batu Putih which was fun and relatively easy to climb with the help of the rope (hope it's in good condition..,,). If you'd like to go down to Pulau Intan it's about 280 to 350 steps down (meaning you'll have to climb that much up too), but very doable.

First time here after my numerous visits to the place. Finally had the opportunity to check out this hiking trail and the lighthouse. The lighthouse grounds is out of bounds to civilians and tourist. Took a hike on two of the trails and had a good workout. Place not really maintained well enough. Could be the fact that it's resting on the boundaries of two states and the question of who is liable for the upkeep of the place is questionable. Nearby two pristine beaches with clean waters and sandy beach. Bot crowded on weekdays but not sure on weekends.

Great experience. After a few minutes from the entrance on the tarmac, follow the trail on the right to Monkey Bay Beach. Pristine sand. Then there's another trail to the top. Upon reaching the peak, you climb the white stones to get a great view of the Straits Of Malacca. From there, you trek to the light House. The oldest light House in Malaysia. Behind this light House is another trail where you can do bird watching. This trail will lead you down to Pulau Intan Beach. Another pristine Beach as it is a marine park. The stones the are of red on colour. There is a sea cave which can only be visited during low tide. After this you can trek uphill to the tarmac.

The track is kinda newbie-friendly but you still need someone who are experienced to guide along the way The are ropes for some parts of the trails to help with going down across the way It was a great experience especially when you going up to Batu Puteh, seeing the beaches form bird eye view

Reasonable number of parking at the bottom of the hill. Pleasant hike up the hill although some parts were quite steep. There were smaller paths into the woods which I didnt explore. Nice photo spots at the lighthouse. There is also a track down to the beach which I didnt have time to explore fully. Could not see the beach from the track due to thick vegetation. Would probably need about half a day to a day to explore. Recommended

Nice secluded beach. Very rocky shores so do take precautions, it is very easy to get hurt on it so wear your beach shoes or kampung adidas. The hike in and out is a bit tiring but not much of an issue if you're close to fit. But great sand and beaches. Just make sure you dispose your trash responsibility There is no phone reception there so be warned

There's 2 trail leading to Cape Rachado Lighthouse, a tar road and for those who likes a challenge, there's a hiking trail. If you are lucky, you will see monkeys πŸ™ˆ on the way too. The trail is shaded by the big trees and even if you come here in the afternoon it's not hot. The Lighthouse compound is closed to visitors at the moment.
