Best cave seen so far - very well maintained but (too) short walk inside. German speaking only guide. The laser show at the end is great! You need to walk (25-30^) ca. 10 mins from the parking area until reaching the entrance but there are great views and seats if you need do a pause. The buffet area has big portions and high prices, but good quality - also, nice seating area outside. Last but not least, cash only! EC not accepted.
Take a jacket, the cave is 9 degrees all year round, the ground is muddy from the dripping water from the ceiling. Very interesting guided tour, takes about 30 minutes with a film at the end which is projected onto the cave walls/ceilings. The 700 m walk is up a steep hill and takes 15 - 20 minutes, fitness depending. Admission fee is 6.50 Euros. You are not allowed touch or take any photos.
A visit that gave us great pleasure. The cave is a 10-minute walk from the road. Once you arrive, a terrace with coffee, drinks, food and cakes awaits you. The guided tour is pleasant and after a special view of nature, everything ends with a special projection on the cave walls. I recommend, as recommended on the website, to take a jacket because the temperature of the cave is constant + 9°C.
Very interesting tour. Be ready for quite a hike from the parking lot.
A short walk from the parking spot leads us to these beautiful caves. In winter it's full of bats and is closed. But we happened upon it in summer when they were giving tours. It's a short tour of centuries old stalactites and stalagmites with a projector show that gives a brief history of time from the context of the caves. They also turned off the lights for a minute, which was a crash course on our forgotten senses. Highly recommended with a jacket.
the cave is actually big enough to cater a big bunch of guests. stalactites and stalagmites not yet the longer ones, would need a few million years to get to that. but the natural water basin is a real highlight and only one in the world. i find it nice that we had a moment when all light were shut off to enjoy the sound of the water drops. and one needs a little bit of imagination to visualize water flowing thru the natural canals creating a water fall at one corner in the cave. the digital show in the cathedral at the end of the tour was fantastic, great to end the tour.
I short cave with light show, well-paved walking path to the cave, one time visit
Very steep path up from the car park to the cave. Take it slowly if you are not fit. There are benches to rest on at intervals. Needs 20 minutes for someone fit, 30 mins if not. Restaurant near the cave. Guided tour is interesting and the cave is large so I didn't suffer from claustrophobia
A very good spot for kids. About 10mintues walk uphill to the caves. A guided tour awaits every 1/2 hour once. Closes during winter to allow bats to take shelter against hard winter .
