More bland than grand, even after an expensive refurb. Still, you could easily get all your weekly shopping from this area, get your hair and nails done, have a coffee and a snack. As long as you can do all this within the allocated three hours, you will not suffer parking charges. It would be nice to see several outside market stalls to add an ambience of trading.

The Stretford mall is a reasonable local shopping mall in a good location.due to it's size however it doesn't have the range of shops compared to the Manchester arndale or the Trafford centre, but it's good enough for local shopping.plebty of buses nearby and there's a carpark.easy access from several entrances and easy to navigate.

I left Stretford 40 years ago but love returning to the mall. Sad to see my market gone, and the fountain, fish, carousel and most everything else I knew and loved, but the owners must be trying their best to keep it hopping! Many great memories here.

As a born and bred Stretfordian, I can confirm this place used to be the best shopping centre in the area. However, times change and this place hasn’t quite kept up. But with regeneration on the horizon, the future is promising. It is still possible to obtain most items on the average shopping list here, with Heron Foods, Quality Save and Aldi being worthy retail options. Survivors such as the kingfisher chippy and Gola Gifts also make a trip worthwhile whilst newcomers such as the Food Hall, Reel Around the Fountain Records and the Half Price Outlets offer something a bit different.

Sadly, Stretford Mall is now dead. Stretford Precinct was buzzing in the 80's when I was a kid, John Menzies was my favourite shop in there. I used to buy my records and computer games there and have a mess about on the old computers at the back of the shop. 10 PRINT "HELLO"; 20 GOTO 10 RUN

Always great street food vendors and great selection of beers. Watch out for Dim Sum Sue when she is there. Great Asian street food and always a good selection of vegan options

It's nice however the piano that has been installed is grubby and quite out of tune. It would gretaly improve my experience if the funds were put in to tune and fic up the piano. Ty

Stretford Mall has a selection of shops. Unfortunately it has a number of retail spaces standing empty, giving an overall, slightly maudlin feel to what could be a bright, airy space that could rival the first floor of the city centres' Arndale Centre.

Absolutely abysmal place, no atmosphere, cold, echoey, drab, not even any flowers, poorly lit, most of the shops are closed. Those shops that were open had staff that looked at you as if you didn't belong there. Went in two shops, Quality Save and Aldi, both were virtually empty of customers and the staff hardly looked at you when you got served. I said to my wife....."Don't smile" she said "why ?" I answered "cos they'll know you're not working near here". We went to the extortionately over priced Shop/bar/restaurant Stretford Food Hall ordered two glasses of wine which went back...lipstick covered glasses. We supped the replacements and ran....ran...ran. Be afraid, be very afraid.....I'm not going back.

I remember coming here as a child and it was a bustling centre, with an aquarium would you believe it! Now it's a run down centre which could be brilliant with the right investment. Someone do something great here please!

Some days are better than others. Sometimes they seem short staffed. Sometimes it looks messy where they serve coffee.

It's not bad at all if u got some free time and need to pass ur time here. Great shops in to explore and have a short walk around the mall.

Great apart from the temporary disabled toilet/baby changing room is only accessible if you walk around to find a member of security to get a key to enter. You then have to return to them... a bit inconvenient for people just needing the toilet.

It's a disgrace to what it was.too many shops closed.

  • 3/5 Gary S. 1 year ago on Google
It's ok, personally it needs knocking down and turned into apartments. It's not like it was 20 years ago. It's a perfect place to use for recording movies, as it's a ghost town.

The location would be ideal, if the deco was updated...also if there was enough shops. They do have the essentials; Costa, Aldi, Home Bargain, Sport shops, plus I was informed that Peacocks, was closing or relocating.

  • 5/5 James L. 1 year ago on Google
Quiet place to shop if you don't like crowds. Especially through the week. Lots there. Aldi. Herons. Quality save. Pound bakery. Half price outlet. Boots. Peacocks. Plus others.

Light and bright and clean. A lot of the big name shops and bank's have gone. Still plenty of units up for rent.

Use the mall for weekly food shop at Aldi which is fine and previously had no issues. On my last visit I was sent a £100 fine on their carpark for parking (in the family bay with my 1 year old). My wheel was off the marker but well within the allocated space. I have sent multiple emails trying to sort this but had nothing back (ref 3009630891155). As a result, I will not be parking here again, considering parking is free for 3 hours it's even more ridiculous. The parking assistant goes round looking for the tiniest things to ticket people so please be careful!

Stretford mall is a good place to visit as there you can do the groceries or buy the clothes as well. I enjoy shopping at the Aldi which is in Stretford mall as it has reasonable prices and quality goods.

A mall with budget friendly shops. Shoe zone is one such shop which is quite economical and you get daily wears at a reasonable price.

Free parking but still being hounded by UKPC for an ever rising parking fine (now £170) even though the machine said I owed £0. I have tried to get through to UKPC but with no luck. Stay away!

lots of empty shops needs investing in as it's a friendly place and the shops that are there ar e good. can't help the fact that the road is being dug up right outside

Removing the roof from the shopping centre mad people use the dry warm seating areas to talk socialize with old friends sometimes moving forward isn't always good for the people of stretford

  • 3/5 Douglas G. 1 year ago on Google
This place has really lost its sparkle.....25yrs ago we would do all our weekly shopping in the mall. But now has half of its units closed and cheap clothing shops it is not what people want or need!!! People "on the board" need to assess what it's lacking and review rent to attract more traders.....Eccles has more to offer but I live locally to Stretford!!

Not been inside yet, but I have used the car park there. It was Saturday night and unfortunately pay machine was broken and I had only my bank card on me. Phoned them up on Stretford Mall helpline. At that point I was pretty sure nobody will answer, but surprisingly line was working even Sat late night, and it was sorted over a phone. Great Job

An interesting mix of small shops. There are some empty units but most are up and running and well stocked. You can sit on benches in the centre and enjoy pasties or coffees from local sellers. There is a lift to upstairs but I have not ventured there yet.

For a first time visiting the mall it seems vast inside but not full of much. Apart from empty space and empty shops. Otherwise spotlessly clean, easy access from the tram and plenty of parking

  • 4/5 Viv S. 1 year ago on Google
Very clean indoor shopping area. Quite a few shops closed down, still some good shops.Central cafe with community swap books available. Large car park - free for 3 hours.

I went for an eye test at Specsavers and was able to park up and get to my test. I was also able to pick up some other shopping whilst in the mall. I'm a bit sad that they are obsessed with taking the roof off the mall, we get a lot of rain in Manchester and I feel it is fanciful to have this overall open air approach to the new development

  • 1/5 JP K. 1 year ago on Google
Worst shopping centre in Manchester. I dare you to try out the toilets, the worst thing is they have been like that for years. The men's cubicle door has no lock, scrapes along the bottom of the floor, barely closes. The centre management is also happy with having sales people roam around hassling you about things it is really annoying. A lot of shops are closed in there too. Don't go here. Travel 20 minutes extra to Trafford Centre, or Arndale instead.

  • 4/5 Paul C. 1 year ago on Google
It's cool inside but you can get away with riding your bike inside the mall as the security don't care for anyone's safety.

  • 5/5 Graham G. 1 year ago on Google
Open up the empty buildings get the vibrancy back that was there when it opened. Old tescos, put in a cinema , think outside the box don't be held hostage, come on

Mall seems like it's best days are behind it if I'm being really honest. That being said, the shops that are there are served by friendly and decent people. You can find nice bargains at the Mall from time to time. And the Mall is not as busy as the Trafford Centre so much more likely to get a seat to rest (if you need one).

I have shopped there off and on for years. Many of the shops I once knew there have long since gone. There some newer shops but many of the big shops like Tesco, Clarks(supposedly temp closure). Still, they continue to try so still worth a visit.

Unfortunately I had to walk through here on the way to collecting my Daughter's School uniform. Needs a good clean. Looks dated and scruffy. Many shops closed. Not a place for me at all.

First shopping centre built in uk supposed to.be "protected" and yet left in utter dismay and 60% demolished. I miss the old fountains and fish tanks and clock tower and waterfall it used to have but most of all.. THE SHOPS! Its now a Dire place of empty shops as nobody can afford the rent and taxes making the building fall to disrepair and demolishing especially since tesco left. Used to be THE BEST place now its tatty shops. Even whsmith has now gone! Wish could go back in time as it had everything anyone could ever need. Now you have aldi... A cafe.. Bunch of tatty shops and maybe see about 3 to 6 people walking through and thats it. Used to be very busy! But nobody comes here anymore as 90% shops have closed down/moved out to where cheaper rent is. 99% of my friends now refuse to shop here as "theres nothing there".. Unless you want to see broken celing and shir down shops for the 600th time
