Brilliant used to get supper after going to the ice rink, real food good taste good price, something to really get your teeth into and enjoy, brilliant for a traditional charcoal grill that has been going for 53 years…! and just as enjoyable today as it even been 👌👍

Been going here for as long as I can remember, introduced to the place by a good friend of mine. If you are in the area I suggest you call in and try their monster burger, you won't need to eat for a week. Look forward to the next trip!

Great burger for the price and plenty of it! Friendly service and open until late. Choice of steak (slightly more £), beef or chicken burger. Range of toppings, sauces, relishes and salad. Kebabs, hot dogs and pizza also sold. Lunchtime meal deal available too.

Sadly didn't have any lamb left for a proper kebab, but the burgers are good value.

Great food .. their veggie burger was really good, as well as the chips. Liked it more than Mc Donald’s and Burger King. Very reasonable!

Ate alot when I worked at the solicitors down the road, gorgeous food friendly service, miss having it for my lunch and all the staff at my old work who were all on weird diets, saying how nice and good it looked / smelt! 😂 I don’t live too far from Canadian charcoal pit so visit is pending! 😋😍

I don't know if this place has changed hands recently, but the quality of the hash browns is appalling. Burgers are still great, thank goodness.

I had a burger. It was ok.... I couldn't recommend it unless you're drunk and the patties were suspiciously gristly considering it was the premium "steak" burger. I asked for salad and didn't get asked if I wanted sauce so it didn't occur to me until too late. A £7 burger would normally have some sauce in as standard? Also a strange sign saying "this is the only The Canadian Charcoal Pit in Altrincham or Sale". Technically true but there is a "Canadian Charcoal Pit" in Sale which I think is a similar standard so take your pick. In fact, the only "The Canadian Charcoal Pit" with an online website is in stalybridge and has all the same menu but at much cheaper prices (current website because you can order online to pick up) so I can't help but think this isn't part of that chain either. Very odd flex either way.

The burger was very good. The fries were fully cooked, but I prefer them to be cooked a little longer, to make them a little more brown or even more crispy. The staff was friendly and the service was great. However, there are no tables to dine in. Everything is either delivered or takeout.

Been going here on and off for 20 years. Still great and a fast and tasty option for burgers, pizza etc. It's a shame they don't open on a Sunday any more but they are still good for a late night snack. Not to be confused with the Canada Grill in Altrincham centre.

Use to come to the pit a lot when I was younger and not a lot has changed the food was nice. There was a lot of things they didn't have available though so had to have a plan b

What’s happened. Prairie dogs come on stale rolls raw red onions. Absolutely rotten. Straight in the bin.

We enjoy to go out. Yesterday we went to this magnificent place which friends told us about. We spent a beautiful evening there with high-qulity cooking and a well-trained crew and a professional chief cook. We put this venue in our phone list and we shall certainly return very soon. Highly recommended.
