It takes a lot out of me to write this review especially at a place that I often eat I came into this establishment to order some pork chops for me and the family as I was waiting in line there were another customer ahead of me and they was ordering the same thing. The representative told The customer in front of me that she only has one pork chop and she is not making any more ..... well to my surprise I was told again very blunt that there's only one pork chop and she's not making any more. So I ask again because normally and the other they tell you it will take about 15 to 20 minutes it will be a while. This is what I was expected but to my surprise again she told both of us she has one pork chop and is she's not making any more it is just the two of them there any problems you see Tommy it is not her problem. I don't know if the customer service representative in this establishment needs some Training but I hope after this review she will be evaluated for the training that she will need in the upcoming future to deal with situations when they arise. I was very disappointment to know there was no chance that she was going to make it it's not because they didn't have it she told me she was not making it there was a whole lot more said but this was the part of the conversation that made me sour and it had me come on here to write a review I never thought that I would be writing a review in my own Hometown since most of my travels for work is out of the u.s. so in my conclusion I will tell most of my followers that yes this is a very good Ixtapa shmon if you want some very tasteful Soul food. But they also need to recognize that this is not the only establishment to eat food there is three more and Amityville to eat from like I told the representative I will be doing this because I'm a voice of course she says she doesn't care. So by the way my favorite is in the morning I get the grits and fish with egg and cheese this platter is unbelievable that grits is tasteful but not lumpy I highly recommend this dish.... at night I have the turkey wing with a side of macaroni and cheese and gravy from the yams.. now 1 of a customer service representative that is here is Stephanie she's the one who always deal with me but she was night here tonight

My husband ordered from this place tonight and what he received was laughable for the price. Jumbo shrimp for 16.99? With an outdated menu online that shows it for 10.99, and then charged more when received. Will never order from this place again. Customers deserve better. With this pandemic, and restaurants closing left and right, they should appreciate customers who order and pick up because we keep them in business. Keep doing things like this, and you will be added to the closings.

This soul food healed my soul. I treated my mom to some cuisine. Originally we were headed to island flavors but the GPS Gave us late directions We ended up passing it and parked in front of this restaurant to get our bearings. Immediately when I saw the sign I knew I had to try it.

I got multiple times, started them BBQ Ribs hit!!!!!sooo good & tender the sauce-🔥fried chicken A1!! Greens taste like my Gamma!!100%% Excellent service young lady was nice friendly also helpful when I asked about catering!! Go there!!! Well worth $$$♥️

The food is usually on point at this location. The customer service was trash today. When ordering any types of dinners with the 2 sides, parchment paper should be applied to prevent the meat from getting soaked in any type of vegetable side. I've never had cabbage soaked fish before🤮 Drain all juicy sides before closing the tray.. Wyndanch is soooo much better.

Our food was made fresh to order. Everything was delicious!!! Especially the fish!!! I love their food!!! Service was great and the employees were very nice.

Scrumptious soul food. I'm from the South and this is just how we make it back home down to the conbread. Just get it. Don't think about it. I don't know about calling in, I just show up and order.

Ok some of the fish I ordered has a bad smell. I think there using old grease especially at the end of the day..as long as they maintain freshness the fish could be excellent. Everything else was good....

Wasn’t overly impressed. I ordered the fish and grits. The fish was plain, no real seasoning on the fish. The grits wasn’t hitting it. After living in the south for over 30 yrs grits have to be prepared a certain way when you pair it with fish. I’m willing to go back and try the lunch dinner options.

The food was good. We ordered turkey wing dinners. They ran out of turkey wings, so I told her to give me one turkey wing and a piece of chicken. Got home she gave me the back piece. I don't eat backs! My fault, I should have checked. From now on I will always check my order to make sure I get what I want.

So first time going here, i expected something completely different. But the food actually looked really good, like my grandmother was back there cooking 😂. But looks ARE VERY deceiving. I ordered the turkey wings with mac and cheese and yams, then a order of baked chicken. The turkey wings were SOOOO tough 😂 i couldnt even break the skin. Mac and cheese was watery, and the yams were under cooked. Baked chicken was the best thing and the most flavor. But customer service was cool. People was coming in there with an attitude and got an attitude back and they didnt like that. I came in there smiling and talking nice and patient, they gave me that in return. People are just rude and expect them to just rush orders. Oh yeah ITS HOT AS HELL IM THERE 😭😭😭

This is the kind of good cookin soul food I was after! They offer some epic takeout trays! Best ribs I’ve had in quite some time, as well as the Mac n cheese! Their chicken thighs are bangin! I’ll be back to try some more great eats from here!

This place the food is amazing the chicken is beyond crispy and the owner and the employees know exactly what they're doing here I suggest everybody go here because that 1st bite into the fried chicken it touched my soul Go here and spend all of your money!!!!!

Hubby and I drive truck, stuck in traffic for hours, we arrived in Amityville, NY hungry, ordered Doordash. Got the bbq chicken and rib dinner. YUM! Chicken fell off the bone, ribs taste great. The yams are soo good 😋 Definitely not disappointed!! We will order again next time we are in the area.

Great place, food delicious. Turkey wings cornbread, ribs, Mac n cheese. Understand that this is a black establishment, ran by Mexicans so it threw me off. However, the owners daughters made it clear. Food Sill Good!!

Joan was very disrespectful she even hung up the phone on me after I called to let her know they never sent my peach cobbler which she was the one who said she’ll have them send it out with condiments, utensils and napkins which non of those were in my bag when I received my half of order! I then said I just would like a refund back! She said i have to go through door dash to get a refund was disrespectful and hung up mind you I had my order delivered 3 hours ago smh whoever is cooking there doesn’t know how to cook the food was horrible except for the yams! Y’all need ol soul food cooking ppl in there if you want that good taste back

2 spanish ladies on 6/1/23 around 8pm have the worst customer service! Everytime they are working the food is disgusting and they act like they do not wanna be there! Ontop of speaking in spanish being rude! I Ordered $40 worth of food and the fish was not fried thoroughly or seasoned. Very disappointing because i always buy food from there

After my third messed up order I feel like I have to leave a review. There were multiple mess ups like fried chicken being bbq, green beens instead of broccoli, missing items, pink chicken, when they have there stuff together this place is great but its gone down hill! Cook your chicken!

This place is hit or miss. Last night was a hit! Whoever made the batch of mac n cheese and yams last night between 5:30pm & 6pm need to make it all the time! It was delicious! I also got the ribs. I was given too many fatty pieces but otherwise it was good.
