Itโ€™s my first time in my life that I went here. The car park is plain but itโ€™s understandable. As I walk in , the reception counter welcome us well. They are friendly but talk way to much amongst themselves. My advise is to pay more attention to visitors and welcoming them with high energy. ๐Ÿ—ฃ Stepped in and I felt like I was in the Jurassic world as i keep walking. The tress are well nurtured and so as the hygiene. Smell of the mini forest is amazing. ๐Ÿƒ They have fantastic choices of animals(should have more) and well kept ๐Ÿงผ. I felt like there can be improvements in putting background music to provide more in- experience atmosphere. ๐ŸŒฒ ๐ŸŽถ The Panda is really good.love the temperature control and air filtering.๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿผ I do suggest to have more animal trainers so they can share more about the animals and do some demo to keep the animal active. Most are feeling uninspired and sleepy ๐Ÿ˜ด All in, great visit and I would recommend others to visit. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

    - Get my tickets from klook and it is easy to redeem. - Best to reach there as early as you can because it will take almost 5 hours if you plan to explore every part of the zoo - If the main entrance car park is full, they will direct you to park at the second entrance. - Wide variety of animals and most of them are in healthy and good condition. Although I feel like some facilities for the animals need to be improved. - There's a petting zoo for your kids to enjoy. - Various food stalls available but they still close the dining area. But you can take a rest and enjoy your food and drink at the benches available (there were plenty of it). - Facilities for the visitors were okay but definitely can be improved and maintained.

We had half day to visit this zoo and was able to go through the most of the zoo. There are many animals and they all seemed very well taken care off. They were active and seemed healthy. The mammal, reptile, and Savanah was amazing. Really enjoyed the pandas. They were so cute. And this was the busiest part of the zoo. Visited during weekday so it wasnโ€™t as crowded.

We love this zoo! It is clean and well cared for, the animals seem quite content, good options are great! Definitely must see the panda exhibit! They are just so cute! The Reptile house is also so cool! See if you can spot the animal in each enclosure!

Great place to visit and see all the animals. Well kept and clean. Varieties of animals to see...informative. A big area to be covered..if walking..you'll be walking at least 6km to cover the whole ground. There are tram services too. Animal show is a must for visit...2 shows a day. Staffs are helpful and don't mind to share information on the animals. It was really wonderful and good knowledge. Highly recommended

Very neat and clean, The National Zoo of Malaysia. For RM 50 for a student or international worker with a valid permit, one can see the seagull show, the Panda Center and all the other animals the Zoo has to offer. One must go at 9 am in the morning and spend the whole day there in order to take the maximum advantage of one's money.

Very beautiful experience there, had fun with my kid. Place was clean and beautiful. Had a great time walking there, place was a little hot in the afternoon, but not too bad, bring an umbrella of the day is too hot. Animals were well taken care of, the latest attraction was the reptile house, we had the chance to hold snake and tortoises. Beautiful new addition to the zoo. Overall very nice experience. We Used klook for discount for entrance fee.

Came here on a weekday 9am sharp. Best zoo experience ever. No crowd and it was very peaceful. Animals were eating and walking round since it wasn't too hot. Walk 3/4 of the zoo and reached the animal show at 11am sharp. Continue walking and finish the zoo visit before lunch time. Great experience and definitely worth the price.

Itโ€™s a big zoo with lots of animals to see. I love the lake area where there are lots of mycteria roaming/flying around freely. Itโ€™s quite impressive. Panda area and aquarium has air conditioning. Other areas has lots of tree so there is not much direct sun. There is two times of animal show at 11am and 3pm respectively. However, donโ€™t give such high expectations to the show. Toilet needs to be maintained as some of them are not in working condition. There is some stalls selling souvenir and light snacks such as ice cream, bread and instant noodles. Car park is RM10 per entry. There are two car parks. If you are Malaysian, you can visit the zoo for free within 30 days of your birthday. You can redeem the free ticket at information counter.

The animal show is at 11am and 3pm. Please be there early, i recommend to sit at left side of the theatre facing stage. Most animals are coming from left. U will thank me later. Not much food choice but we had waffles and corns. It was a lucky day for us. We saw lion and leopard, tiger swimming, hippo feeding session. At least they are not sleeping. The monkeys are active. Panda centre most chilling place. All animals are well maintained.. there's a children area for kids to touch horses, turtles and guinea pigs. Remember to bring your cap, umbrella and water to stay hydrated. If u go with kid, a stroller is a must if u are not taking train. Please buy from klook as its cheaper!

Itโ€™s really worth to pay a visit to the zoo during the birthday. Free entrance to Malaysian within 30 days from the birthday date. Recommended to take the tram as it ease the walking and make the visit more pleasant. The animal show is interesting so donโ€™t miss it. The animal show only available from Saturday to Thursday at 11am and 3pm. So be sure to arrange your visit time accordingly so you donโ€™t miss the animal show. Recommended to go in the morning, reach by 9am to get a parking spot and enjoy less crowd at the giant panda centre. Most importantly, animals look healthy.

We enjoyed lot and a good memories. They have three different tickets system 1. Malaysians 39RM 2. Foreigners who is holding work permit and dependent 45RM 3. Foreigners as tourist 71RM. They also have membership program where you can buy a membership card 35RM for your kid, then it's free for kids all the time and 20% discount for parents (Best option). PRO: You can bring your own food and have. No extra fee. They do some activities like You can go and touch birds and can take snakes(Python) etc.. but not sure on which time what activities they are doing. We took the snake around 4.30 i guess. Good thing is that some place they gave Aircon so that we can get some cool air. CON: They charge too much for photo shoot. But it's optional. Maps would have been more clear. Walk walk walk......... Totally worth for the money. Kids will enjoy it.

The area is so big, you need to come in the morning to finish looking around. I would suggest the zoo to add accomodations like bicycles so it's easier to move around. Gate B is not open at the time I visited but there is no notice stated, thus wasted my energy to walk there just to head back to the main gate. A great place for toddlers and people who love animals and tranquility.

Big compound to walk, definitely need to bring umbrella, water bottle and cap and electronic fan. Klook offer cheaper entrance ticket. Encourage to wear light clothing. Must try the honey ice-cream and bring some honey home. Proudly made in Malaysia ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ Orangutan is located at the very far end, kind of like itโ€™s being cast away. Would suggest to make orangutan or panda feeding time available.

Nice place for kids n adults to enjoy. Many exotic animals and birds could be found. Giant panda was main attraction but during our visit the female panda wasnโ€™t there and Male Panda was sleeping all the time. Everyone is asked to maintain silence in the panda enclosure however there were some police officials who visited at the same time and were busy talking loudly with no respect for the rules. Some animals were isolated n lonely, while others missing like the Malay national animal, etc. Aquarium was nor maintained neither have anything great to see. Unfortunately during our visit the animal shows were called off too. Overall it was ok but wasnโ€™t worth the price paid.

Very well organized park, clean and enough nature to interact with the animals. The trees give cool breeze and nice shade so no worries if you cannot stand the heat. They have food options and sanitary facilities through out the park. Recommend buying ticket in advance to save your time lining up. Taking a grab to here is much more convenient with a decent price.

Good 3-4 hours walking distance. All animals are very well taken care of. They all look quite active and in good shape. The panda exhibition gives you a very close look compare to the one I visited in Thailand. Downside is the restroom which can be much better than it is right now. Price is appropriate. I would visit again, though.

I'm giving our Zoo Negara 5 stars just because I was pleasantly surprised by how much there was for us to see, and how active the animals were when we went. Of course you'd have to go at the right time to see the animals going about. If you go during noon when the sun is at its peak, the animals would be resting under the shade (Who wouldn't want to in this heat?). Truly cannot say enough how impressed my family and I were by how much our zoo has improved. My wife's last visit here was 16 years ago, and much has changed. The trees have grown out and provided some much-needed shade throughout our walk around the zoo. I wouldn't advice going for the performance though. We were told that it began at 11:30AM, but when we arrived at the amphitheater it was already full. The staff then informed you have to be there 1 hour earlier to take a number and then return before the showtime, present your number, then you will get an admission to the performance. We were much happier walking around exploring the rest of the zoo rather than being stuck in a queue for the performance. We were also concerned there wouldn't be proper social distancing reinforced at the amphitheatre as it is very small. All in all a pleasant way to spend the weekend with the family

Go on birthday for the offer and get a free ticket. Inside you can see the cute panda and other animals, very interesting. But it's a bit of a pity that some shows didn't take place during covid.

It's our third Zoo Walk/Fit and I would recommend to join it. The first was in 2019, second was in 2020 and was different than the first, to suit the SOP at the time. The officers here have always been nice and courteous. This visit was with a little hiccup. Perhaps they didn't expect us to come on the first day. We were at first asked to wait because the officer had to consult another officer, who then asked us to go to the office, where another officer there had a phone call and finally told us to go to the ticketing counter. Hope after this they can handle it better even from the first day. We were told that there are no set of questions given. Last year, we worked together to find information and answers for a set of questions. Nonetheless, the visit & show were fun and informative.

Clean and nicely kept zoo. There isn't much people during weekday. Good thing is most of the animals are now adopted by corporates so at least they are well fed. Great place to bring my kids. It has decent walk ways, well grown trees that gives a nice shades and happy animals that like rooming around to meet people.

There are two main parking areas (entrance A- main entrance & entrance B - which is near to the show stage). The show is 11am and 3pm. I would recommend you to park at entrance B so you can spend less time finding for the stage. The zoo is big and be ready to walk! Bring your fan, umbrella, snacks, water to spend around half a day here. Your ticket is valid for one whole day. Most of the animals were decent except the rhino was thinner than usual. For the price, it was decent;)) the sea lion show was cute. Some of the animals were pretty active when we visited. I hope more visitors can visit zoo negara so they can have more funds to manage and maintain this place well

Itโ€™s a wonderful experience to visit, the animals seems well taken care of. It was better than expected but there are actually much room to be improved. The penguin and aquarium are on the down side, hope that the authorities would put more effort to improve the lighting and the water conditions. Surrounding facilities such as toilets also need to be more clean and appealing for visitors.

Very fun place for family! Come early and prepare strollers for your kids. Bring water too. I thought we cant bring water from the outside but they dont say anything when we bring water ourselves. Anyway, still have to buy more because its hot and we're tired after the whole exploration. It was worth it. I advise come on Saturday because I heard from so many friends its very pack on Sunday. Morning session is more comfortable and less probability of rain. So plan your trip and buy tickets online. Not so many pictures because you have to come and see for yourself! Have fun!๐Ÿ˜Š

Here's some tips if you're planning to visit Zoo Negara. Parking - It's recommended to go early (arrive the zoo just before the opening hours and before 10) so there's ample of parking spots. If you go any later, it's going to be difficult to find a space as theres limited area for parking. There's also a parking fee imposed, rm10 for a car. I think it's okay because you're parking within the vicinity of the zoo. Ticket - You can walk in to buy the entrance ticket at the counter as well. If you bought it online, there's another counter for you to queue and claim your tickets. Just show them the QR code. Weather - It's maybe best to wear something light and airy because it's mostly open air. So bring an umbrella or cap if necessary. Food - There's quite some stall there selling food and beverages so you don't have to really worry. There are benches for you to sit if you want to take a break as well. Animals - The animals here are taken care of well, they're in their own enclosures. Staff - The staff and workers here are friendly and professional as well, had no issues with them. Overall, it's a nice experience and memory going to the zoo, you get to see and meet a lot of different kinds of animals. Would recommend anyone to go, and also support the zoo.

Probably one of the nicest zoo in Southeast Asia. Clean, luscious trees, well-fed animals and best part is they have a Panda conservatory!. Ticket is quite pricey though for foreigners: RM 88 on weekday.

Overall worth going. Very nice place. The children would love it. Prefer to have your breakfast before u enter in the morning as choices of food are not attractive there. But the zoo is very well maintained and clean. Air is fresh. U will few police officers walking around to ensure everyone are on masks. They r very friendly and helpful. Love this place. Would bring the children here again.

Honestly this is by far, one of the best visits ever. All the animals are active. Maybe because i went there in the morning and most of them just had their breakfast and having their breakfast. My favourite was the Lion and lioness. Both of them are very responsive and active ๐Ÿ˜ despite they are senior lions. They still showed their powerful roars to us. The other animals also very active. I assume that it is because the weather was also very cool and not too hot. They don't just lay around.

The national zoo of Malaysia contains many animals including white tiger, panda but some animals are old like Lion and some are active like tigers. Giraffes, Zebras, Rhinos and much more. You will need at least half a day to completely see the zoo properly so plan accordingly don't think in 2 hours you can complete everything if you are just a time passer it may work, else it will definitely take time to cover all the animals and birds. Some renovations were happening during our visit, we couldn't see some animals like hyenas. The elephant was taking a bath which made it difficult to find but it gave us a good water show. Children will definitely enjoy this place. If you are visiting Malaysia, put this in your itinerary to enjoy it to the fullest. Don't book three places during your zoo visit, first you may get tired of completing the zoo and second you will not be able to see the zoo completely, you need to rush. If you are patient enough you can get some selfie close up shots with tiger.

One of the exciting places for Kids, especially around a busy city like KL. We normally use the afternoon time after visiting the Batu Caves - Murugan temple. Got a good number of species, in good landscape. The more you walk, you enjoy more. Besides there are tram kind of vehicles which you can board when tired. Overall a great place to visit with family & kids!!!!!!

Better come on weekdays, the animals show closed on weekend. And If you want see baby panda, please follow the feeding time, twice a day only. It's worth to come, I was arrived at 8:45am, come early will better. The bad thing is everyone didn't follow the SOP, children didn't wear masks. Please keep quiet when you visit the Panda Park, PLEASE! Children we know they cannot control, hey adults also speak loudly, why?

Zoo will always be a zoo and you can't expect much. Looks not well maintain, empty cages and skinny animals. Almost all zoos like that. But as a national zoo, I expect more from Zoo Negara as it represents our country. With this condition I feel that I can't recommend it to my tourist friend. Yeah, probably it's too expensive to maintain. Animal show is good but I've seen better elsewhere. Tram service is also good but not worth it unless you really lazy to walk. Yes, they have panda but the rest of animals collection are not surprising unless you never been to any zoo.

I love My country, Malaysia. I hope the Zoo Negara management read this feedback. I visited on 1 Jan 2022. Cost around RM90 after 20% discount for 2 adults and 1 kid. It was a total disappointed experience ever compared to previous visit. - the toilet at the entrance is so dirty and disgusting. - the maintenance of the zoo is bad. Can see the dirt, algae mud even death fishes can be seen at the aquarium. Zoo Negara shall be an iconic landmark as other countries. Hope government takes note or any business can assist to improve the Malaysia's image.

Not the largest zoo in terms of number of animals but very spacious and has pleasant surroundings. The panda centre was the main attraction, you can get fairly close up to the pandas. Not really a big fan of zoos but this is one of the better ones I have been to in terms of conditions for animals. Foreigners pay more as is the case with most places in Malaysia.

I arrived at this place early in the morning on the 7th of November, so there was no queue for the tickets. Anyway, I bought mine online, which might be slightly cheaper. The price was 72 RM as an international traveller. The zoo has tram rides, which help in transportation inside from a point to another. I haven't used it since the whole place is walkeable. From me, what is special about this zoo is the panda and the flamingos around the lake. There are many places around to sit and have a rest. On the same day, there was a school trip to the zoo, so I got to see the school kids going around, they were organised and disiplined, which also had a great impact. The transportation to that place is manageable, but it isn't easy, so I recommend going by taxi or car.

Place is large and with many animals. Even though Iโ€™m not in favor of the concept of zoo, had to go to place as it was part of the travel package. Most of the animals were not active, except the tiger. Rest all were in a gloomy sleepy mood. There is an animal show at 11 and 3. Couldnโ€™t see it as I wasnโ€™t aware of the show timings. Kids would like to see the animals.

It was an amazing experiment specially for families having children and family also want to spend a full day with them. Itโ€™s very huge and have all the species even animal. Quite a lot of different animals inside, clean and better than expected.Else walking around is good for us. Don't rush, spend a day in the zoo is worth of the entrance ticket fee.

Being a privately managed Zoo, the management has done an incredible job in maintenance of the entire zoo and all the inhabitants. Pros: 1. Very well maintained 2. Lot of species 3. Open zoo concept 4. Panda conservation center with two Pandas roaming freely 5. Tram service - either shared or full tram booking choices available 6. Cafeteria available 7. Bird island is very picturesque. Birds are riaming freely Cons: 1. Tram service is a tad costly All in all it is a very nice getaway for a days trip. Kids willvlove it for sure. A definite visit when you are in KL

We loved all the animals but had a difficult time to follow the right path to visit the animals. There should be a proper map guiding along the roads like foot print to what are the animal directions being kept. Felt a little lost and keep coming back to same location at times. Need to improve on the navigation.

Overall we enjoyed the trip especially when it rains all day. Kudos to the parking girl who greet us so politely and made our day...

We went again to the zoo today! It was a great experience as usual. Itโ€™s just 5 days since they re-open after MCO 3.0 I can see they can do so much better work after this, like -trimming the long grass at car park, do some work maintenance at the BEE area (itโ€™s quite sad actually to see the condition. My son is supposed to enjoy seeing the bees, but heโ€™s more interested with the spiders & spider web at this area ๐Ÿ˜‚) SELAMAT MAJU JAYA ZOO NEGARA! It was a great and pleasant day during our visit last week. We really enjoyed our tour to the Zoo Negara and had a fun experiences, especially my 5 years old son! We played some quizzes at home, asking questions on what we saw on that day, and suprisingly, he is able to answer all, that proves how much he enjoyed his 2nd visit there. We came at second half which is after lunch hour and there were quite a numbers of empty lots even at this hour. Parking fee is RM10/car inside the Zoo premise. Still, there were lots of cars that parked outside, maybe due to the crowds in the morning. We purchased the ticket at the counter as the trip is quite unplanned. RM45 for adult and RM18 for kids with both MyKad and MyKid. You can get the ticket at cheaper price at online shops/platform such as Klook.com or Shopee. However, it is really worth buying and spending, in addition to helps out the businesses and animals. As you can see from the pictures, there were some que at the walk in counter compared to the online counter (to collect the wristband). There are Children World with some kids-friendly animals like pony, rabbits, turtles, birds and goats. Bees Museum displaying various kind of bees, selling honey and other bee/honey kind of products. Rimba Reptilia placing few kinds of reptiles such as snakes, iguanas and others. Savannah Park where you can see animals like rhinos, girrafes, zebras and ostrichs. Ape Centre where you get to see the orang utan and chimpanzee. There were also a Bird Aviary where you can see various kind of birds and walk inside where some birds are let free inside the aviary. Outside foods and drinks are allowed. You can also buy foods and drinks inside the premise as they have few kiosks and shops, as well as gifts and souvenir shops. Price are quite high, but if you dont bring any, you can just spend some money here. It is considered reasonable for this kind of tourism attraction places. You can also pay to ride the tram if you do not want to spend most of the day walking freely in the zoo, which is actually quite a good exercise though. Kindly bring your own portable fans, wear shades, cap/hat as most of the Zoo is an outdoor area and considering the current weather, it is quite hot, and bring umbrella as well, who knows if it is going to rain that day. The Giant Panda Conservation Centre is quite an interesting spot and the most crowd attracted place in the premise. The staff at this centre really taking care of the SOP, only 10 minutes are allowed to avoid crowds, especially on weekends. We were shortly briefed before allowing to enter and see the panda. This place is well maintained, clean and cool. We got to see the pandas having fun playing, walking and sleeping. There are 3 pandas including one cute baby panda here in our National Zoo. There were also souvenir and gift shop inside the centre with lots of cute panda thingy. Washroom and cafe also located at the end of the panda centre. Please be informed that the Animal Show is not available on weekend, which is kinda disappointing, but this is one of the act taken by the Zoo Negara to avoid crowds and prevent the curbs and spread of the virusses during this pandemics. During our visit last time, we also could not get to see the elephant and visit the Butterfly Park as it is closed for some maintainance and upgrading works. Overall, we can say that all the animals and their habitats are taken care well during the pandemics. Congratulations to the caretakers, volunteers, general workers and all the committes of the National Zoo. If there is anything to complaint, I would mention the front toilets nearby the entrance gate is quite old and not maintained well. But not to worries, there are few new looking toilets inside the premise, and other facilities that is still undercare. P/s: thanks to those who read from the very first letter to the very end of my long review. Hehe.

Enjoyable experience with toddlers. Animals were well taken care of. I love the open area for the giraffes, zebras and ostrich. Open as early as 9am. If you come early, you should start with tigers, lions and pandas area instead of going the other way to prevent crowd. We started the wrong way so by the time we arrived at panda area it was already so crowded. We came on our birthday month so we enjoyed the free tickets offered. Drawback is no restaurant with decent food inside the zoo. Out toddlers already wanted to eat lunch at noon but we hadnโ€™t covered everything yet. Only corns and waffles available for the empty stomach. I wish there were more options since the place is very big and we need at least 5-6 hours to cover every animals in this zoo.

Great place to bring kids to see animals. You can spend probably around 4hours in the zoo. There's an area for kids to pet rabbits. There's some cafe/fast food places to eat. Plenty of trees providing shades. Tickets into the zoo is reasonable for locals. Online ticket purchase can get at a lower price. Parking is plenty but not enough during holidays at rm10 per entry.

As a Malaysian, this is my first time visiting Zoo Negara. Everything is good here. Remember to bring your umbrella because itโ€™s outdoors, and the weather is unpredictable. Avoid visiting the zoo during holidays/weekends, as it will be crowded. I queued for 45 minutes to see the pandas. The animals here are so healthy and look good.

Went there around 9:30am on a Saturday morning, it was not too crowded, ticket redemption was easy for tickets that were bought in advance online. We arrived in the panda center around 10:30am, but the panda are still sleeping. The animal show was rather crowded and the show lasted about an hour, it started with macaws doing some tricks and ended with a sea lion show. Opposite the animal show is where the mini aquarium is located, you may find the penguins in one of the mini display glasses over there.

Bought the tickets from the Klook- 10% cheaper than walk-in. Arrived at 850. Parked at parking A. No queue at all at either walk-in or online ticket booths. Managed to enter at 855 (despite the official opening hour being 9 am). Started by going left where we were met by hundreds of flamingo, followed by a giraffe and a pair of tapirs. Next were tigers and lions. The highlight of the tour was of course the panda site. Arrived at about 10 am. No crowd. Managed to see only 2 pandas. Spent about 25 minutes there. Didn't manage to see the animal show as it's at 11 am which I think it's not practical to make it either you enter from gate A or B (unless you arrive at the zoo at 11am). Exited at around 1230. Overall it's a very good experience. And i personally think there is no need to take the tram at all as the area is not that big really.

The zoo's well-designed enclosures provide a glimpse into the natural habitats of various species. From the majestic tigers to the playful orangutans, each animal seemed to thrive in their space, reflecting a commitment to their well-being. The highlight of my visit was witnessing the incredible diversity of wildlife. The aviaries filled with colorful birds, the reptile section with its fascinating inhabitants, and the underwater world of aquatic lifeโ€”all contributed to a comprehensive zoological experience. It's worth mentioning the picturesque surroundingsโ€”lush greenery and well-maintained paths that complement the zoo's ambiance. Families, friends, and nature enthusiasts can all find something to cherish within the zoo's diverse attractions.

If you are an animal lover, you will like this place. There are many different animals. We loved the giraffe, all kinds of monkeys, and birds of different colors. The flamingo was charming, and the peacock was amazingly beautiful. The place is clean and the smell is okay. Advice: Go early, as the place is large and takes a long time. To see all the animals, there are seats to rest, and places to buy snacks. There is also a restaurant and a mosque. The bathrooms are not clean, unfortunately, and need a lot of repairs. The price of tickets is okay. I recommend booking in advance.

We had a good time here. We took our 7 year old, and he enjoyed it. This view was worth the price of admission. However, there are definitely some improvements they need to make. Some of the exhibits are old and run down. The poor chimpanzees looked terrible. The elephant exhibit was gone. The zoo has lots of potential. It just needs some remodeling and better care for the animals. Overall, it was a fun day.

KL Zoo is excellent place to enjoy with kids. We had a great time. Please make sure to carry your umbrella otherwise you have to take it on rent. We used cart as well but I didnโ€™t find it useful. You can easily cover the zoo by foot rather than the price you are paying for the cart. There are lot of kids friendly food options available inside. You can easily spend 3-4 hours inside.

The place needs a lot of renovation, from the rest rooms upto the location of the animals. What they putted on the map wasn't what you'll see in each place. The animals were relocated. Entrance fee was a little bit pricey for the area. Although if you would think it would help the animals a lot. But We enjoyed it. I'll give 3 for facilities.

Nice outing with the young ones. Once in a while you should visit the zoo with the kids, to educate them the importance of wild life. Some animals are facing extinction without proper conservation. Today however it began to rain so the visit was cut short as we have toddlers with us. Tickets will be cheaper if bought online. For senior citizens, tickets only available at the counters at the premise. Food and drinks are on the high side in the zoo, bring in water as its quite a walk. Also be aware of the buggies and trams whilst walking. If you're with senior citizens that cannot walk for too long, better take these transport to view the zoo, payable, of course.

It is my first time visiting Zoo Negara, we redeemed free tickets using zoo negara latest promotion ( Hadiah Hari Lahir - not sure how long the promotion will last ). Really enjoy the visit as most of the animals look healthy and in good condition. Plus, the place are well-maintained. On the facilities, they provided many stops for food, toilets, prayer rooms and benches if you need to stop-by and get some rest. If it is your first time, please take a map at the entrance so that you can cover all places in the zoo and don't forget to watch the animal show. Overall, very satisfy with the visit as almost all the animals are available except house of reptile. Parking costs you RM10, so it would be best to come early in the morning and spent your whole day at the zoo.

Improve that and I will definitely come again. The animals shows did have new things as well. Gone are the days with the parrots. We visited on a weekday, the place is clean, and a wonderful place for family visits. There's a lot of animals to look at. Decent varieties, though some are the same species, just in different locations. The animals look healthy and well fed. Most of the location are well maintained, however some areas seems to be falling apart like the aquarium and the penguin enclosure. The zoo is really big, and accessible via stroller (I would recommend bringing a stroller for small children, as there's a lot of walking - we didn't pay for the tram service). Toilets are clean and within reach. However, there's no dedicated breast feeding or diaper changing room. The food establishments are scattered and open for business, but mostly serve fast foods. You may want to wipe the tables down before you seat and dine. I observed that, visitors are prone to put their small children on the table with shoes on. And the waiters are not around to clean the tables up. Plenty of shelters and within reach as well, but the staff might ask you to leave without refund if it rains too heavily. Some cons here: Ticketing counter not friendly, nor helpful especially if you purchase tickets online. We had an issue with our online ticket and the manager just brushed us off. I guess there's also a lacking of staff at the moment. We had an experienced at the panda enclosure, where some visitors taunted the pandas, even though the "keep quiet signs" were placed everywhere. There's even a child, who plays "pretend throwing" her baby brother's shoe at the panda. In the end, she hit herself at the glass enclosure, but her parents just giggle the whole antics off. This made me think that, there's a need for security in the area, because not all of us are mature and responsible, since pandas can get stressed pretty easily. Overall, it was a good but tiring experience. This is my first time at Zoo Negara and will definitely visit again, not for the hospitality, but just to support the zoo keepers and the animals in there. Will update again if there's improvement in my next visit. Stay safe.

Great place. My kids really happy & enjoy itโค๏ธ Zoo Negara has improved a lot. The trip is worth it considering that we manage to cover all of the section. We spent 7 hours in the zoo and it's a fun time with family. The view is amazing & animals looking good. However, Zoo need to improve the animal show to be more interesting .

Bought cheaper ticket from traveloka. Less than RM100 for 2 adults and 1 child. Free entrance for child below 3yo. If you come here, make sure to refer to the map to plan your route so you won't be tired. Also, prepare lots of cash to buy food and beverages. It's a big place so you'll get tired for sure. Recommended to spend full day, morning till evening to enjoy the walk and watching all the animals.

Ticketing will be easy if u buy it online. Upfront ticket will charge you RM45 adult/RM18 kids (2-12yrs)(malaysian price). To get cheaper price may buy at klook. Rm37 adult/Rm16 kids. If you come on your birthday month just show ur ID at ticketing kaunter and ebter it with freeeee ๐Ÿ˜Š. Zoo negara was way to old place. Sometime i wonder WHO incharge or reaponsible for zoo negara? Who gave the fund to rising all animal in there? Maintainance? Facilities? ๐Ÿ˜‘ Tramp (zoo bus) RM8 adult and RM5 kids Panda hall no longer to be paid. Just assemble at the panda section at 11am, the will allow you to walk in to see panda for 10 minutes. Price of the food is pricy for me..you may bring food from the outside. Photobooth. The price is wow!!! Really hight. If you want buy your family picture. Please standby around RM50-RM200(COMBO) Animal show like sea lion not available in weekends. Only weekdays. Last but not least. Please keep our zoo negara clean. obey the instructions set. Obey the SOP.

Overall experience was fun!! I can see most of the animals are well maintained and since the economy is healing i can see a lot people visiting with families while practicing social distancing and wearing masks all the time despite the hot weather in KL. If you are a first timer, it is recommended to bring your own hand fan since the journey is quite long.

Althought been here many times, still a great place to find some peace. Watching unusual animal wiggling around. 1. During my visit, the weather is really hot. If you bring an infant, they might not comfortable at all. Bring your own portable fan might help a bit. 2. Parking is enough for everyone. Even during peak hour / weekend. RM10 per entry. 3. Photo booth service is not cheap. 1 printed photo cost RM50. You can't buy soft-copy only unless you print 6 photos and you get everything including "paid" goodies for RM200.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well maintained the zoo was and how healthy the animals looked, as i have heard otherwise in the past. Highlights for me were the panda conservatory, tapirs & big cats. Dissapointed by how aggressively they pushes for photos and sold them at exorbitant prices.

It was here that i saw elephants and giraffes and all sorts of wild animal.. they're amazing to watch. The journey inside the zoo was smooth. Paid RM88 for adult and RM25 for kid. There's a buggy inside to take you around the zoo, it cost RM9 for adults. There's no restaurants or cafe inside, but they have store for nibbles and refreshments. Be sure to wear comfy shoes as it takes a lot of walking. There's no one to guide tourists inside so be guided with the map which is provided upon purchasing the ticket.

Overall a fun experience. Not too crowded, entry and parking fee are moderate. You need at least 3-4 hours to visit every sections. Minus 1 star. We saw some people fishing in the zoo near the lake, and they smoke. And they do it so openly as if it is legal.

Visited the zoo a couple of times but never gets boring. Wide variety of animal species and I could see that they are highly cared for. Their enclosures are well maintained. Wear comfy shoes as you will be doing a whole lot of walking. You can buy tickets online (minimum a day prior) from ticket2u website. Great place for families, nature and animal lovers, busy people looking to escape the hectic urban lifestyle.

Impressive visiting. Very high rating for this round visit.the reasons are: 1. Many facility is upgraded, compare to last few year visit a lot of item is broken and not updated. 2. The animals show is improved, showing time also extended. The crew is very entertaining. 3. Many animals seem healthier than previous, they look like energetic most of the time. 4. Many food store available, toilet also available in many area. 5. Children World animal giving a fun time for kids. Improve compare last time visit. 6. Many new buildings like amphibians and isopod are very nice, good job. 7. A lot of giant animal (old age d), impressive Bad things: 1. Penguin still sitting in very worst area which you hard to get a very nice picture for it. 2. The aquarium still looks very old, I guess the fish remain the same. One thing recommend visit is during your birthday month, foc for the birthday boy or girl.

Here is my second visit to the national zoo negara. The ticket price is about RM30+. Free for those people who have birthdays (one month). Suggests come after noon because most of the animals sleep. But in the morning, u can enjoy the show. Pandas are super cute and tigers always swim, haha

If you want up close views of animals, this is the place to go! So many animals to see, and a few to pat. The Zoo is larger than it looks on the maps. Being school holidays, it was busier than expected, but still a great experience, we did get to the animal show too late that the kids were unable to see so we gave it a miss. Staff were very friendly and took photos upon entry which were a decent price (RM180 for 3 but they put in 6 and a few freebies) You can bring food in or buy it there, again really decent price and some of the places indoors accept visa cards. Just watch for the wild monkeys, they know where people eat and hang out by the bins. The toilets left something to be desired, but we are from a western society so it is probably just due to our own expectations. Use bug spray before you go, lots of water means lots of bugs. Overall, a great experience. Kids loved it, we loved it, would definitely go again if we came back to KL.

Whole facilities are better maintained and animals seems healthier than my last visit before COVID hit. We took the VIP tram for 2 hours that quite costly but good to have since my mum can't really walk the distance. Overall, fun for the kids but i do feel we can have more direct interactions with all those friendly animals similar to other mini zoos in Klang Valley.

Honestly, it has been quite some years since I last came here. And I remember the last time, it was just OK - it was maybe 5-7 years ago? I don't recall. This recent visit, I thought was much much MUCH better. There has been quite a big improvement. I brought my 2 kids along and it was their first time. Back then, I remember there were the Giraffe and Elephant enclosures right as you enter the Zoo. Now they are moved to perhaps bigger enclosures inside. The animals look much healthier now, I'm so happy to see that! Their tram system is much better now too, replacing those trains they had back then. They allow you to bring strollers on them too, so that's great! But if you have the energy, I suggest you walk! You'll get a much better experience and view. Unfortunately the reptile section was closed when I visited, it was under renovation. Good for them. The renovations done all look pretty good so far. I hope they do as well in the maintenance. Overall, it is a nice experience that I wouldn't mind repeating.

One of the best places to bring kids on the weekend. They have animal show at 11am and 3pm, with limited seats. They also have feeding area and kids world with rabbits and miniature horse. The panda area entrance is free. Feeding time for panda is 11.30am. Parking outside near entrance B is RM10 per entry. Tram is RM8, pay seperately. The zoo itself is a very shady with lots of place you can sit and rest after a long walk. Bring along umbrella nevertheless because when it rains, it pours heavily!

  • 4/5 nur n. 3 years ago on Google
My kids enjoy it so much, although we've not been blessed with the good weather it's pouring rain and got stuck sheltered for hours. Personally I think d place could really use a major update, it looks like they haven't done anything for ages.

very good place to have a visit with family and kids. my daughter loves the trip so much. plenty of rest place and the animals are interesting. good place for using stroller too. better have a mosquito repellent or patches to avoid mosquito bites. wear sneakers will help a lot as the zoo is big. plenty of restaurants/food stop to have a rest and meals. basically the price for the food is affordable. when we went there (31/8/2020), the entrance for visiting panda was free. we need to leave our stroller outside and get it back after visiting panda. very comfortable because it is air conditioned place but can got quite pack. can watch feeding panda sessions. we arrived at the entrance gate 30 minutes before opening time and the que was quite long but still okay. after that, the que got very long. the animal show started at 11.30 a.m. bring along mini fan or hat/umbrella if it's going to rain. just check the weather first. we bought a mini hand fan at rm7 there. overall good place to have a visit during holidays.

The number of animals is small, but some animals can touch The first room is centered around small animals, with mongooses, meerkats, parrots, etc. Parrots picked them up. Meerkats are pretty active and cute The next room has a fennec fox and is too cute to be seen all the time Also, big snakes, white monkeys, alpaca, etc. The keeper is kind enough to talk to me casually Alpaca and parrot have a commemorative photo together If you don't like it at 20RM per sheet, you can decline Let me feed in some places Cospa may be good (Original) KLใ‚ฟใƒฏใƒผใฎๅœฐไธŠ้šŽใซใ‚ใ‚‹ใƒŸใƒ‹ๅ‹•็‰ฉๅœ’ ๅคงไบบ32RMใงใ™ KLใ‚ฟใƒฏใƒผๅŒๆง˜ใ“ใฎๆ—ฅใฏใ‚ฌใƒฉใ‚ฌใƒฉใปใผ่ฒธๅˆ‡็Šถๆ…‹ใงใ™ ๅ‹•็‰ฉใฎๆ•ฐใฏๅฐ‘ใชใ„ใงใ™ใŒใ„ใใคใ‹ใฎๅ‹•็‰ฉใฏ่งฆใ‚‰ใ›ใฆใใ‚Œใพใ™ ๅฐๅ‹•็‰ฉไธญๅฟƒใงๆœ€ๅˆใฎ้ƒจๅฑ‹ใฏใƒžใƒณใ‚ฐใƒผใ‚นใ‚„ใƒŸใƒผใ‚ขใ‚ญใƒฃใƒƒใƒˆใ€ใ‚ชใ‚ฆใƒ ใชใฉใŒใ„ใพใ™ ใ‚ชใ‚ฆใƒ ใฏๆ‰‹ใซไน—ใ›ใฆใใ‚Œใพใ—ใŸ ใƒŸใƒผใ‚ขใ‚ญใƒฃใƒƒใƒˆใŒใ‹ใชใ‚Šๆดป็™บใซๅ‹•ใ„ใฆใ„ใฆๅฏๆ„›ใ‚‰ใ—ใ„ ๆฌกใฎ้ƒจๅฑ‹ใฏใƒ•ใ‚งใƒใƒƒใ‚ฏใŒใ„ใฆๅฏๆ„›ใ™ใŽใฆใšใฃใจ่ฆ‹ใฆใ‚‰ใ‚Œใพใ™ ใ‚ใจใฏใงใฃใ‹ใ„่›‡ใ‚„ใƒ›ใƒฏใ‚คใƒˆใƒขใƒณใ‚ญใƒผใ€ใ‚ขใƒซใƒ‘ใ‚ซใจใ‹ใงใ—ใ‚‡ใ†ใ‹ ้ฃผ่‚ฒๅ“กใŒๆฐ—่ปฝใซๅฃฐใ‹ใ‘ใฆๆฅใฆใใ‚Œใฆ่ฆชๅˆ‡ใงใ™ ใ‚ขใƒซใƒ‘ใ‚ซใจใ‚ชใ‚ฆใƒ ใฏไธ€็ท’ใซ่จ˜ๅฟตๆ’ฎๅฝฑใ‚ใ‚Š ไธ€ๆžš20RMใงๆฐ—ใซๅ…ฅใ‚‰ใชใ‘ใ‚Œใฐๆ–ญใ‚Œใพใ™ ไฝ•็ฎ‡ๆ‰€ใ‹ใง้คŒไป˜ใ‘ใ‚‚ใ•ใ›ใฆใใ‚Œ ใ‚ณใ‚นใƒ‘ใŒใ„ใ„ใ‹ใ‚‚

The queue was long today due to the big promo. Wait for 2 hrs before going in, stay for 4 hrs inside. Animals looked great, except for the aquarium side. I think they should upgrade or at least improve the aquarium part, especially the Aquarium Tunku Abdul Rahman. It's too dark, and things are old, not attractive. The way to present our Malaysia river journey could b done more interesting to attract foreign tourists.

The panda corner was a clean, thorough temperature control, and probably a new building, but at the other animal corners, I feel that cleaning and environmental maintenance are sparse, so that animals (other than pandas) are not healthy. I thought it was. Some animals had bears under their eyes, and some animals had muddy soil that made them difficult to move. poor. Deserves a 5 star for the natural beauty. Like all Malaysian venues, there is untapped beauty. Our zoo clearly lacks maintenance, however unless we all go and give our support, it will never be where we want it to be. There is beauty in the unkept space, trees so lush and natural. Pavements with moss makes it feel real. Plenty of different animals to see. Great space for kids to start exploring the natural world. Hope this gives our ZooKeepers the motivation to keep striving to make it better!

Too crowded to feel safe. The entrance price even for local is quite expensive and needs to be revised. All Malaysians are affected by the pandemic and financial capabilities are a main concern. Wednesday, 915am. Easy parking, no queue at counter. Bought ticket from Klook so just go straight to counter 6 to redeem. Walk straight to Panda to avoid crowd later. Then explore other areas. Reptile and panda area are nice and well kept. Aquarium need some maintenance and upgrade. Better to go early in the morning. Food choice not so good inside.

The zoo is big so itโ€™s easy to practice social distancing except for enclosed areas (reptile & aquarium) where there are no staff to check on the number of people at one time. RM45 for adults (local) & RM18 for children (loca). The most well maintained place was the giant panda conservation centre, very clean and cool. Some of the other animal enclosures were in a sad state, overgrown with weeds & stagnant pools.

It is located just beside the MRR2 after Melawati Mall (if you from Gombak) or you need to take U turn if you are from Ampang direction. 5.6km from City Centre and you can get here by own vehicle or public transport (bus, taxi, grab). There are 2 parking lot area which Park A infront of the entrance and Park B at far left of the area. You need to pay parking ticket RM10. They got access to Disable Parking and entrance for wheel chair too. I would suggest you purchase the ticket online as they got some package with tram tour. Online ticket usually manage by travel agency and some discounted price compared to buy walk in/over the counter. Great news if you born in the month of your visit, they give you FOC entrance. COVID-19 SOP are fully enforce and visitor are compulsory to wear a face mask all the time. If you got extra cash, you can purchase the picture taken by the staff at the picture booth during entering the zoo. Quite costly but you will get softcopy of the picture and some additionals souvenir. The landscape are quite messy since you are visiting the zoo, but the path are clean and well maintained. Some of the exhibit animal area a lil bit rusty and dirty. The Toilet is ok and well maintained. However there are some toilet with very low water pressure. No animal shows during weekend but they have panda pampering session with 2 slots, am & pm. I would suggest you follow the route from the pamplete maps so u won't get lost and plan your trip inside the Zoo. If you are taking the tramp tour, it will take about 45 - 1 hour per trip. But if you really want to enjoy the trip, better take it on foot. The restaurant & food stall are quite expensive. It is better you bring your own food/drinks as you can picnic on the bench along the pathway. However, it is prohibited to feed the animal or you will get caught. The souvenir shops are great if you wanna spend some $$ for momento. Overall it is great experience here & will come back again.

Zoo was in a great condition with SOPs and social distancing reminders all over. Animals look well fed too. One ticket entitles you to the whole zoo visit + panda centre. However, the landscaping could be improved. Secondly, although SOPs and reminders are in place, be mindful as there will be individuals/groups who will fail to adhere to social distancing coming close to you. Parking can be a nightmare as itโ€™s limited and at a RM10/entry rate. Please be early!

Arrived on Wednesday 9ish am, parking was plenty, RM 10 per entry. Redeemed online tickets were fast (much cheaper, try KLXXK). Not much crowd in that time and not so warm as much of the walkways were shaded. It took around 3 hours to visit most of the areas and the giant panda centre. As compared to the last visit a few years ago, the Zoo seems to be improving in terms of infrastructure and maintenance (except the herba garden). How the food stores and choices were too limited and the price could be on the high side.

Wonderful zoo in KL, the animals look well cared and healthy, thereโ€™s relatively more space for them to wander around compared to other zoos; They accept card payments at the cashiers; You have to queue some minutes for the panda conservation centre, visitation is limited to five minutes; Would be a nice idea to bring an umbrella, as it gets very sunny/rainy.

Great place for family trip. Bought RM 37 per adult on Klook for Malaysian passport holder. The ticket price inclusive of panda visiting. Not to mention they are having birthday promotion where on your birthday month you can enter the zoo for free. Definitely worth the visit.

Visited on the weekday and it was a good decision - no queues and thereโ€™s no need to crowd around to see the animals. However, the zoo and facilities are not well maintained. You can see rust in many places and questionable structures. Most of what you see were from decades ago - still as is, which is sad. Donโ€™t count on the f&b outlets in the zoo too. Theyโ€™re not worth the money for the portion and quality you get. The good thing though, is that the animals are still there and roaming!

Honestly, there are too many things that need to be done at this zoo. Facilities, landscaping, maintenance, cleaning etc. If you are keen to volunteer to help, please do so or be one of the sponsors too. The animals are too cute and they need food and attention.

There are huge areas to walk around and see many types of animals such as giraffes, birds, tapirs, tigers, lions, cheetahs, cows, buffaloes, deer, elephants and for pandas, they are in a special air conditioner building. After seeing the panda, you can have a nice lunch at the cafe on the way out of the building. It's recommended to buy the tickets from the National Zoo website itself as it offers a better price than the other website. Register as a member then you can proceed to buy it easily. My family and I really had a great time though we were tired of walking but we enjoyed it very much. Many souvenirs shops too where we bought some to bring back home.

Zoo Negara, is a captivating destination for nature enthusiasts and animal lovers. During my recent visit, I was impressed by several aspects of this zoo. Firstly, the zoo's commitment to conservation and education is commendable. They provide valuable information about the diverse range of species housed here, highlighting the importance of preserving wildlife and their habitats. The variety of animals on display is extensive, from the majestic tigers and elephants to the adorable primates and colorful birds. The enclosures appear spacious, and many animals seem well cared for. I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to see rare and exotic species that I wouldn't encounter elsewhere. The layout of the zoo is well-designed, with clear signage and pathways that make it easy to navigate. There are also convenient amenities like food stalls and rest areas, which enhance the overall visitor experience. In conclusion, Zoo Negara is a valuable institution dedicated to wildlife conservation and education. It offers a memorable and educational experience for families, tourists, and animal enthusiasts.

Second time visit. Too much improved then my last visit. Enjoyable trip with my kiddies. Better to full your stomach before enter becoz will use lot of energy. Better used map wisely and never skip all places. Bring your own water and foods. For more comfort, please bring your own small flexible fan. Hehe.

Crowded but understandable because it was school holidays. I bought tickets on advance. No queue. Good experience. As an adult, I also gained some knowledge of the animals from the description that Zoo Negara provided. Some signboards needs to be improved though, as they are fading away/ broken. Spent 7 hours in total there. Went to the panda centre twice because at first round they were sleeping, came back at feeding time again to see them eat.

Make it a birthday tradition and visit the zoo for free entrance! The place has seen significant improvements since my last visit many years ago. The facilities are well-maintained, and the animals are full of life.

The place is very, very beautiful... but it is very wide and tiring if you do not pay attention to the map. I recommend it especially during times of heat and rain... If you take an umbrella with you, it is better in any case...

The Zoo is big but unfortunately few cages were empty and few animal were sleeping during the afternoon maybe due to the warm weather, by the way the honey shop there sell good ginseng henoy. And yes tourist would pay a more for the ticket.

Good place has many different kind of animals from across the world. Some enclosures are pretty small for the animals though. The panda conservation centre is the main attraction. You can find storks, monkeys, deers and monitor lizards roaming around freely though.

Very nice Zoo for a 1-3h hours trip alone or with family. Their Bee musem and honey stand is great! Delicious honey for a fair price ๐Ÿคค The only issue is that tickets for foreigners (tourists without Malaysian ID) are more expensive. Highly recommend for those who want to see some Tigers.

Have been to this zoo several times during my stay in Malaysia. Love it. They have all the varieties of animals & birds. Zoo itself is well maintained & clean.

Visited on non school holiday weekday, arrived around 12pm still have plenty of parking (car park A). It is hot and most of the outdoor animals are also hide under their shades but we still spent 4 hours+ there. A lot of trees along the path. Quite a numbers of animals to watch. Worth to visit during birthday month as it is free. Like many other public toilets in Malaysia lack of maintenance, cleanliness is ok. And some people keep shouted at panda hoping to get his attention despite 'keep quiet' sign in the panda hall and knocking the glass when watching tiger, so uncivilised and annoying.

I visited on 3/12/2023, the price is RM45 for Malaysia Adult. You will get a cheaper ticket from other online booking apps (exp:Zoo negara official website or Agonda), however you need to purchase one day before. There are a lot of animals, all animals look healthy and cute. If you visited in a good timing there are some workers will give you long bean to feed the animal. There is also a petting section which those animal can be pet and you can donate money to buy vegetable to feed them. However, is encourage not to bring your own food to feed them. For panda section close at 5pm if you really want to see panda and other indoor section please remember to visit before 5pm. Full journey approximately will spend about 3-4hours, if you have kids maybe it will spend you about 5-6hours. Recommend it!

Please check the ticket pricing on zoo website first and then compare with others like Agoda or klook. The zoo was well maintained and animals are well taken care....most of the animals were sleeping ๐Ÿ˜ด You will get to see zebra ๐Ÿฆ“, giraffe๐Ÿฆ’, Lion ๐Ÿฆ, Black Panther, Panda ๐Ÿผ, White Tiger ๐Ÿฏ, Penguin ๐Ÿง, Hippopotamus ๐Ÿฆ›, Alligator ๐ŸŠ, Snakes and many more animals and birds...kids will surely enjoy and learn. The best part is animal show... recommend you to seat in the front row of middle section of the auditorium I recommend you not to choose battery car, it's not worth it because it is not a hoop-on hoop-off service, they will just drop you and pick up only once. No need to worry about food and drinks as they are ample available across the zoo.

If you enjoy seeing birds and all kinds of animals doing their things in an environment that likely is as good as it can be in a zoo, then this place is a must visit! The zoo is huge and it easily takes you more than two hours to see it all. Bring an umbrella and visit on a rainy day to avoid the crowds! For me, the definite highlight was to see the pandas. They seem to be really enjoying their life.

I came with low expectation but I enjoyed myself! Apart from the aquarium which was slightly poorly maintained, other enclosure was good and decent. Enjoyed looking at the panda altho most visitors do not adhere to the 5 minutes rule. The orang Utan enclosure was slightly further away and isolated. In general the park do not have covered shade so prepare ahead for weather or rain. But plenty of places to sit and rests. Two zones of parking with people assisted the traffic, charging rm 10 per entry.

Went nuce and early at 9am. Not busy and we walked straight in with no queue. While the zoo is old the overall facilities were well managed. Especially the Pandas and Reptile enclosures. 9 to 11 was cool but 12 onwards got quite hot do make sure you have plenty of water, fan and cash for ice creams. The kids area as a petting zoo was a nice touch with Turtles and rabbits. Buy your tickets through Klook especially if you're a foreigner as prices at counter is expensive for non Malaysians.

Such a big zoo packed with animals! Felt like weโ€™re in a wild park cause monkeys and pelicans just roam around on the trees and streets. Most of the animals were sleeping when we came but they all look like theyโ€™re well taken care of. Just hope there are more than one in some of the cages cause they looked lonely.

Great for a half day outing! Animals are well fed, clean and looked relaxed (not stressed). Expect to walk quite a bit ~10k steps for the whole park and wear sun protection (sunscreen, hat) as it can be quite hot in the day. Tip: Remember to go in the morning to best catch their feeding times around 11am-11.30am when animals are the most active (or else they may be mostly sleeping/hiding in the shade in the afternoon). Animal show runs at 11am or 3pm.

All the animals are well kept. Highlight - tigers are beautiful and active. Recommendation: The tramp stops should be increased to allow more hop on & hop off visitors at different stations. We had to skip certain areas as my kid was extremely tired from walking and it was really hot and sunny despite using the umbrella. Cons: access thru car park B creates a clashing of visitor movement flow. Lack of way findings around to navigate makes it more difficult when clashes of human traffics occurs happen.
